Aldi Ethiopian capsules not working – Latest Aldi Ethiopean capsules don't seem to pierce properly and no water gets through. Then lever is stuck. As my other Aldi capsules don't behave this way, I can only assume something is wrong with this box of capsules. Not happy as I cannot use them now. Has anybody else struck this problem? Show details

Still loving it after 18 months !! – I bought this machine last week after months of being tempted when it's been on special, so finally took the plunge after reading reviews on this site. So far it's been great. I love my coffee and have to have it very hot, so I expected it not to come out as hot as I like which is why I put milk in microwave for minute and a half (using devondale… Read more
s baristas milk. ), then using a $1 battery milk frother , ( yes $1 from k mart, same as my friends $10 one !! ) which just makes it even better, really no need to buy the caffitaly milk frother/warmer in my opinion*** please see update ** End result for me using either the select pods or the Gloria jeans, is a nice and hot, frothed top coffee, and believe me, I'm very hard to please when it comes to my coffees !! At $49, I think it's a great base level coffee capsule machine, my only criticism is that unlike all other capsule machines, a starter selection pack is not included, so I bought a pack of the smooth select capsules, only cost $6 which are ok, but tried the lavazzo intenso which are just fab, so I ll try others in the range but have to buy either 10 or 16 and hope that I like them ! ***** So, its now November 2015 and my machine is still going strong after being used at least 5 times a day, EVERY DAY , the range of coffee pods has since increased and Moconna are my favourite, but the dearest . I do now though have the milk warmer/frother but still have to microwave it for 30 seconds only which is great, so no need for the $1 battery frother now. Very quick, good coffee and easy availabilty to purchase capsules Should give you a small selection starter pack with machine
Like a summer romance it was good while it lasted – I bought this on special from Woolies about a year or so ago. I didnt want to write a review on it because I was so pleased with it and I didnt want to uncork the bad luck genie. Well, it finally succumbed to the modern malaise of inbuilt unreliability. The machine worked well while it was working. I'm not a coffee afficionado but I thought… Read more
the coffees tasted fine out of this little brewer. The only complaints that I had are probably transferable to the updated machine. Access to the water can be a pain, and the water container takes only a couple of cups. The other major failing was the heat of the brew. Add any milk to the mix and the temperature was likely to drop and require a zap from the microwave. Other than that, the process was great....
...at least until the machine got blocked or there was a seal failure. Either way, water started coming out of places where it wasn't supposed to come out of. I did run the cleaning process a couple of times so it shouldnt have been a blockage. At any rate, I took the unit apart and found it to be solidly built, but I didnt find the fault.
The end result is that I'm caught between looking back fondly at our days together, or focusing on the abruptness of our final breakup...... like a summer romance
Fantastic little machine, beautifl coffee – I've had this machine for over 2 years now (purchased for $49) and its a real pleasure making and drinking coffee! I stock up on the Gloria Jeans smooth/mild blend as I don't like strong and bitter coffee. Occasionally, the pods are on special at 3 boxes for $15, and that's when I stock up. I also buy the Select decaf and GJ's hot chocolate for… Read more
the kids. As I love my coffee really hot, I bring milk to the boil on the stovetop and then I froth it using a manual 'plunger style' frother, which gives a real foamy froth, almost better than a bought coffee! I use it daily, and I've descaled it a few times so far.
The only drawback is that, even after 2 coffees, I need to empty out the capsule draw because water leaks from under it. I rinse it daily after use and switch it off. Now that the s20 model is on special, I'm contemplating getting a new one just to avoid the constant leaking, because if I have to make even 4-5 coffees I need to empty it after every 2nd cup just to avoid the leak!

I love this machine – I have had my machine for 8 years now and absolutely love it. Never had a problem with it. It’s great. Use it and love it. It needs descaling now and again. But apart from that works wonders. Love the coffee. Don’t know what I would do without it. Great Show details
Great coffee with minimum effort – Bought this several years ago following Choice recommending it as the best capsule coffee maker in blind taste tests. They weren't wrong. It makes great coffee and better than any of the ground coffee makers I have owned. I doubt if Woolworths still sell this model but presume they still source Caffitaly from the same supplier. If so, I would buy another if this ever failed. Could not live without it. Show details
Very Happy – Very happy with this machine. Works really well, no problems. Best thing is the taste of the Gloria Jeans pods as they are by far some of the nicest I've tried. A great selection also and even the Woolies homebrand pods aren't bad either and alot cheaper than the Gloria Jeans Show details

caffitaly leaks a lot... beware – Great coffee creme (crema?) good looks fast brewing great selection of pods available that fit bloody annoying that it leaks from the pod eject shute. Try a newer model I prefer the delonghi for reliability and design Show details

Convenient but flawed – Considering it was purchased half price for $49, this machine worked well. If you pick the right pods, some rival nespresso for taste. The convenience of purchasing from Woolworths is helpful. I feel guilty about the wasteful plastic pods and the unit does tend to leak if you don't check and empty it regularly. No fuss, cheap, simple alternative for espresso shots. Show details
Good quality for the price – It was very easy to use and easy to clean. I wasn't as happy with the taste of the coffee pods as I would have liked. We ended up keeping the Caffitaly milk frother and gave away the machine! I think I just prefer to have coffee at the coffee shop. :) Show details

Great little machine – Love the coffee , but disappointed with performance. have had mine ( S14) at least 4 years.it was given to me as a present. Loved it until it started to leak 2 years ago; then it stopped for a while now it is starting again. My husband bought a new machine a couple of years ago when it was on special at Woolworths as a spare. I took it out of the… Read more
box this morning tried to use it buy it leaks. lost the receipt - and don't know what to do . Can you help?
Great little machines with an unfortunate design fault – I like this machine a lot. I think it is compact and stylish, well priced and functions well. They use cheap pods that make acceptable tasting coffee. Until it breaks. They have a design flaw in that the internal plastic pod-holder will only last a certain number of pressure cycles until it fails in fatigue. If you know what to listen for, you… Read more
will hear the crack sound, then you know its all over. if you look in the top hole you should be able to see the crack. The symptoms are grounds in your coffee and a lot of water in the pod catcher. If it had been designed with a metal band around the large end of the pod-holder, they would probably all be still going strong. This fault is typical for the later models too. Downside #1 is that parts are not available. #2 is that you have to bin a lot of otherwise functional parts, which always makes me sad. The upside is that you can pick them up for next to nothing secondhand, and then you are away again. I am now on about my 5th (?) I should figure out how to repair them, or modify one ahead of time to prevent the failure.
Very nice coffee and the pods are refillable – I have had this Woolworths Caffitaly for several years, it replaced a manual esspresso maker which was several years old but the Caffitaly system is far better. It just makes nice coffee simply. Besides using capsules from a variety of vendors so there is always a brand on special, the capsules can be emptied and refilled with finely ground… Read more

I clean a batch of about 30 capsules every week putting the grounds into my compost bin, reusing the same capsules over and over, grinding then filling each casule just as I am about to make a coffee, so my cost per cup is very low and very fresh. Filling each capsule takes about the same time as loading an espresso machine portafilla.

Good, but not the best – Bought this as a gift for the other half for Christmas. It makes good coffee with the pods, but the heating of the water is not that good. Need to microwave after the it's finished as its not hot enough. The good, it's quick, and easy to use The bad, not hot enough Show details
Great Coffee - unreliable functionality – I have had 3 of these machines - each failing within the 12 month warranty period, so first 2 took it back to store (Woolworths / BigW) and of course replaced without question, but again the machine would fail. The pods are really great coffee and really like them, and if you shop around can get a good prices, but unfortunately I have only found… Read more
them within the Woolworths/BigW store system - which for me is a bit of a pain.
The latest machine no.3 has just started to malfunction - leaking water from underneath the machine. You can still work the machine, but with water laying around on the bench - don't think I'll continue with it.
The machine is easy to use and easy to clean - a bit labour intensive to flush with cleaner every now and again, but its not too often to be a hassle.
The taste of the coffee definately it's best point, besides machine price (think I paid for the first one $92.00).
First machine purchased Feb 2014.
Great coffee.. easy to use & clean – Might be an oldie, but it's a goodie.. I'm very happy with this coffee machine.. Great tasting coffee, taste authentic, and real, yummy pod capsule flavours/varieties, and choices available, good price, easily purchased at many major supermarkets, very easy to use and clean, simple and straight forward.. Delicious, hot, real, coffee.. Show details
Loved the Caffitaly! – Loved, loved, loved this machine. Easy to operate, efficient, easy to clean. Also think the pods available for this machine are the best tasting. I like strong coffee. Unfortunately, it died. Got years out of it though. I have since tried the Espressatorio machine. Tried every brand of pod that this machine uses - they all taste like dishwater to… Read more
me and the machine drips endlessly. Returned it. Now waiting for another caffitaly machine to go on sale.
Good prouct for low cost! – For a budget friendly machine I think its great. There are so many coffee flavours & strengths to enjoy and also to die for hot chocolate. Its easy to use, my 12 year old gets it out and makes hot drinks for everyone and she can also clean it easily enough too. Show details
Fantastic for its price- Great Value! – The coffee from this machine tastes great- and having the option of compatibility with Gloria Jeans pods means you cant go wrong! Though the woolworths ones are tasty and so convenient to buy. Easy to use, empty and clean. sometimes we find the water cannister leaks a little bit- but perhaps we arent sealing it correctly alwats Show details
Perfect coffee every-time!! – I am very happy with the taste of the coffee. It is very easy to use. This machine can take many varieties of coffee pods. It also has a hot water function, as well as several volumes to choose from. It is easier to clean. The machine will let you know its time to clean. I truly believe that this machine is the best out there. Show details
Basic pod machine – This machine is very affordable to purchase and pods are cheap and accessible at Woolworths. Good range of products that suit this machine type at supermarket Coffee is drinkable and has a pleasant taste. Very easy to use and has 3 settings Easy to clean with cleaner from woolworths. No issues Show details
Easy to use and affordable – It is easy to use, makes decent coffee and is relatively easy to set up. It is also much more affordable to buy the machine and make coffee at home rather than buying take away coffee all the time. It is also quite easy and quick to clean up after each use. Show details

Love it – This could use a larger water tank, but overall, it provides me with a great cup of coffee or three every morning. It was a bit hard finding a good brand of coffee to use, but once I found it, I couldn't live without it. My advice is stay well clear of the "generic" or "home brands" and pay for the more expensive well known varieties of coffee capsules such as Gloria Jeans. Show details
Works well – Easy to use and the coffee tastes good, probably one of the more value for money brands on the market. Cleaning is a bit of an issue but probably no more tedious than most other brands. Though some newer models are on the right track, a machine that is very, very easy to clean machine still has to be invented. Show details
Love it – I love my Caffitaly S14 as it is extremely easy to use and clean. It was also a very affordable price. Leaves no residue to effect the flavour of each cup of coffees made with it. I enjoy and love the variety of flavours available this enables my family and guests to choose from good range to try and enjoy. Show details
My daily coffee fix in my own kitchen – Let me tell you about the Caffitaly Coffee Pod Machine. Makes outstanding, hot and perfect coffee every time. Compatable with Woolworths,Grinders, Map and Gloria Jean's Pods. Easy to use and clean and the big tick from me, I take it in the caravan because it stores anywhere means it's a WIN WIN WIN from me!!! Show details
It deserves No stars – After few months use machine stopped making coffee, sending grinds to the cup and water to the pod tray. Descaled machine, red light stayed on, coffee production unchanged - still wrong. No after sales service was available and reading the blog found this is a common problem with no solution. Does not deserve a single star. Waste of time. Do not recommend. Show details
An invaluable addition to the morning routine! – Great coffee quick and easy to use and cleaning is a breeze. Also now less likely to want to buy coffee when I get to work so saving dollars and paper cup waste too. With just a little mor effort disposal depoding the coffee grains into the compost is straight forward. Show details
Red Light – Does not work red light on and beeps? does anybody know how to fix this problem or do I just pit it in the bin or do I just get it repaired, worth the money not sure so if i can get some advice that would be great .cheers sssssss Show details
Forget it, spend a little more and be satisfied – Water is in it, all seems ready to go and nothing!! Rang importer who suggested to "reset", did this and tried, did it again, tried and the same old "nothing. Appearance design is excellent, pity the machine doesn't work. Recycle bin here it comes.
Happy and Long Lasting – As per my title, I am happy with the S14 which I bought 3 years ago which finally starting to leak. Tried many ways to fix it but no help. Therefore, I have to put it away now, After 3 years of usage life for $50, I have no complain. With this machine, I have tried many different brands of capsule coffee.
be prepared to buy a new one each year – reliability is the issue here. we have gone through 3 machines now. The coffee is great until the machine fails. First it starts to leak, then when you descale it, a seal seems to fail completely and that's it. you need a new machine. If you accept this then go ahead. Next time I will spend a bit more money and get a machine that lasts a bit longer.
Just does not work – Plugged it in followed the instructions pressed the button a lot of noise but no water would come out of the spout. Contacted the supplier and got the run around this machine is a big disaster. I have read and reread the instruction but still nothing no water comes out of the spout. I will never buy from Ebay ever again I have learnt my lesson.
Very Happy – ive had this for over a year... Best Best thing ever.... Very very very easy to use, very easy to clean, the price was so cheap on special, money spent well , coffee is totally awesome, my guest enjoy it. Im HAPPY HAPPY, when they are happy happy happy happy.
Not working.. Help – I am using my machine for the first time. The water jug is full but it keeps saying it has no water. We have pressed the bottom of the jug and water comes out where's it's ment to but the machine is not sucking any of the water in. How do I fix it?
