immediately offered to let me exchange it with no hassle. I wasn’t able to return it straight away, but he reassured me this was no problem. When I returned, Saiyaz researched the best type of rug for my needs and helped me find the perfect one. He answered all my questions thoroughly and gave detailed advice on spot cleaning. was told someone would return his call. No one did. I then called twice myself and was given the same assurance, yet again no one contacted us. My husband was eventually advised that the rug would be delivered at 9:00 am on Saturday, 20 June 2026. Once again, we arranged our time around the promised delivery, but the rug failed to arrive as scheduled. At that point, my husband contacted the store again and spoke to the same employee who had previously advised him about the delivery. By then, it was clear that there had been a complete breakdown in communication and customer service. Delays can happen, but there is no excuse for failing to notify customers, failing to return multiple phone calls, and repeatedly making delivery commitments that are not honoured. What is most disappointing is that it appears the rug would not have been delivered on 20 June 2026 either had my husband not continued to chase the store for answers. Customers should not have to repeatedly contact a retailer to find out where their purchase is or whether it will be delivered as promised. We fulfilled our obligations as customers, yet Carpet Call repeatedly failed to fulfil its obligations to us. This experience has been extremely frustrating and has significantly tarnished what should have been a positive purchasing experience. I believe Head Office should investigate this matter, as the level of service we received falls well below what customers have a right to expect from Carpet Call.

This review is product specific, but does also relate to my experience with Carpet Call. I purchased a rug and a product called an Amazing Wonderblock to clean the rug from them in October 2025. The product is used to mop up stain and spills and comes with specific instructions which advise to rinse the item after use and to store damp, ready… Read more

for the next use which is exactly what I did.

However upon it's next use I found the item was covered in mould which could not be removed.

After what can only be described as a combative conversation with the store concerned and them refusing to do anything I contacted their HO who organised a product swap.

But guess what, product has been used once and has come up mouldy again (as per pictures)

I have this time asked for a refund which Carpet Call has refused, which given the product is not fit for purpose annoys me a bit, but they have let me exchange for a different item.

In short, give this product a wide berth. Carpet Call flatly refuse to say product is faulty but it quite clearly is just rubbish.

runner for our hallway and his suggestion of cutting & joining 5 rugs together was ingenious... it looks incredible. In my dealings with Johnny, he has always been exceptionally friendly, very informative and has always gone out of his way to make the experience of selecting a rug or carpet as pleasant and easy as possible. Positive experience at Carpet Call Essendon – On last Tuesday we went into Carpet Call at DFO Essendon to check out Black Friday sales. We were served by Ali who treated us with respect and patience. We soon realised we wanted to buy a rug for our lounge room from this store. We were thrilled with the outcome. Store manager Jordan was also extremely helpful. I asked for a refund and they refused to refund me even though they haven't delivered the rug. They do NOT offer any change of mind. They take your money and refuse any change of mind refunds! Very disappointed with Carpet Call Watergardens. I purchased a rug and paid up front. They said delivery would be a week. I asked how come I only live across the road. nothing , we call and speak to Jack he tells us it’s at the warehouse and it shouldn’t be much longer. Another week goes by and still hear nothing, so I ring again to see what the hold up is and Jack tells me I have to ring their head office. At this stage I’m really not impressed my comment is that you are the salesperson that took my money you should be following up don’t get your customer to do your job. So unprofessional. I asked to speak to the manager, Adam, I explained situation he said he will follow it up. We find out the rug was damaged, I asked for my money back, manager said he would get a new one but it’s from NSW it could take up to 24 days. I said no at first but he said they would through in scotchguard. So 10 days later we get the rug, I had my daughter be there for delivery as I had to take my husband to rehab after a triple by pass. The delivery guy just dumped it near the front door, my daughter asked if he could take it to the back room, the guy said it’s not his job! So I called Watergardens and asked if the rug was scotch guarded. Manager said no that we would have to do it ourselves and that he would get Jack to drop it off the following day. Once again I heard nothing, it took two more calls just to have the can of scotch guard delivered. I will never shop again with Carpet Call, so unprofessional with no customer service. My experience was completely dismal. I would not recommend this business to anyone. The rug was not cheap it was over $1000.

Don't ever put a deposit down if your unsure – I put a down payment for a rug but then immediately changed my mind. But Carpet Call refused to give my deposit back. I have many rugs and flooring to buy but I won't be using Carpet Call ever again. colour fault before the installer stapled it down onto my timber staircase. I called the store and the man I spoke to said he would call me back with an update.

The next day he called to notify me that the rug runner would need to be ordered from Turkey and would take a month and a half. He gave me the option to refund or to wait. I decided to wait for the rug. I had recently purchased a new home and the main purpose of the stair runner was to prevent my dog from falling through or getting stuck between the floating stairs gaps. I was angry at the situation but understood the faulty batch was out of their control.

Since then, I have moved into my new home and have had to carry my dog up and down the floating staircase. My husband and I have called the store numerous times, each person stating that the manger was not in store or the person who oversees stair runners wasn’t available. My husband and I went into the store to try to get an update mid-April. Again, manager wasn’t in store, and he simply said the manager would call us back. We should not have to chase for information regarding our purchase. At one point my number was passed onto an upline manager (regional or state manager?), and they called me back to personally acknowledge my frustration and that they would handle my case moving forward. Never heard back from him again.

Fast-forward to June. It had been over a month and a half since we were promised the rug runner would arrive from Turkey. Again, no manager in store to take our calls. My husband received a few missed calls from the manager, but when he called back the manager wasn’t in store. We were fed up.

We called on 10th June and asked for a refund on one unrolled rug (to be placed at the bottom of the stairs), the runner, and the installation charge. Surprisingly, the sales professional had to first check this with their manager before allowing us to come in store to process this. This was outrageous as a complete refund at this point was a no brainer. We went in store the next day and the sales professional filled out a form and said it would be sent to head office to process. He said it would take “a few days”, taking into considering the King’s Birthday public holiday.

I patiently waited for the refund and called the store on 21st June and was only told that it was out of the store’s hands and that it had to go through many departments to be authorised. The store has pathetic sales professional training to think it was ok to advise an already angry customer that their refund would be processed in “a few days”. The person I spoke to said they would find out what was happening with my refund and call me back the next day. No call back. My husband called yesterday; the sales professional had no information. I’m still waiting for my refund.

thank the lord I never paid the deposit as I felt very uneasy by the sales guy's desperation. Clearly that inner voice was right. But sadly after going into the 6th week I am still waiting for a simple rug, imagine how they would stuffed up my carpets if I had actually used them. I heard from a good friend Carpet Court are really good - time to give them a try.
