Dishonest conduct – Two years with Click Energy. Think you might be looked after for being loyal. Think again. Click Energy increased the cost of my power by More than 100% per kWh. Noticed the cost of our energy rising but didn't think too much of it until I investigated further. Just had my final bill. They're charging over 55 cents per kWh and $1.20 per day… Read more

I changed to Tango, they charge less than half the price per kWh and their daily supply charge is substantially lower too.

Once I said I was leaving I got a call telling me that they would give me a 36% discount. When I said that this would still be more expensive than the company I was moving to they told me that the discount would be on 'new rates'. Where were my 'new rates' for being a reliable customer who always paid on time?

Completely disgusted by the conduct of Click Energy. If you're letting them supply your power double check your rates and get out before it costs you a lot more than it should.

Ok at the start - impossible to get customer service after – Reliable power, no dropouts. I signed up so I could pay in monthly instalments in 2014. Every time I have moved house (twice now) there have been issues with billing. One time I got a tiny bill, no direct debits, then a massive bill. Called up and was confirmed to be still on direct debit instalments but they only began the following quarter.… Read more

Moved again, gave it a month, no instalment came out, this is my email records:

18/09/17 Emailed to check if I was still set up for $100 monthly instalments

02/10/17 Received reply apologising for delays, confirmed it was set up correctly

05/10/17 I replied asking if this has only just been set up, as I had not had an instalment taken since August and received the full invoice that day

18/10/17 Received reply apologising for delays and confirming that this was set up in the "initial account upload"

05/12/17 I emailed requesting to make a complaint, as I still had not had a single instalment taken out

18/12/17 Received reply informing me: "We checked your account and we can confirm that the $100 installment bill payment is successfully set up. The reason why we're not able to debit your account as of yet for that $100 payment is because your account has just started and no installment bill has been generated. Please be advised that once the installment bill is generated your account will be billed accordingly."

What does that even MEAN? I had already paid a whole invoice and less than a month later I paid the next quarter! To this date I have not had a single monthly instalment taken out, which was the sole reason I changed to Click!

I am currently shopping online for better deals.

Would NOT recommend. Unacceptable.

I was living alone, I didn't have a dish washer nor a washing machine, and most of the day I was at work. Very expensive – We used Click Energy in 2018 under SAGE ACN Plan and at that time the rate was competitive. In 2020, the rates became extremely expensive and we were unable to obtain energy fact sheet from their website for this particular plan. Check your plan and rates regularly – Have been with Click for about four years and have never had any issues with supply, or with customer service. have - 52 cents per kWh (peak) and $1.94 daily supply charge. It took a phone call to Click to be directed to the well-hidden section of their web site where you can see the rates for the many different plans they have. (See attached images). Click won't tell you if you're not on the best value plan, so if I had not checked and emailed & phoned, I would still be paying more than double for my bill. compared to other providers. CHECK your plan rates regularly!

look elsewhere but over time it amounts to a lot of cash in their pockets rather than mine. So beware and watch those rates as they will be nowhere near what you are promised at the beginning. It's a shame customer loyalty and longevity are punished rather than rewarded. Can't comment on customer service as I haven't needed to contact them so rating I have marked as neutral.

first bill, we were extremely impressed as our bill had dropped from over $1500 to just under $300. Over the 2 years that we were with Click Energy we were incredibly happy and never had any issues with them or our bills. Unfortunately, we received notice that Click energy were joining up with AGL and that AGL would be taking over our account. To be fair to AGL they have honoured every rate and discount that Click Energy gave us and added a few other little things. I would highly recommend Click Energy as they were honest and helpful to us. We would go with them again if the opportunity were given to us.

Raised wrong bill and financer chasing me for outstanding payment even after resolving – It's such a terrible provider. I was with them back in 2017 for more than a year when I was renting. the disconnection fee. The whole system is flawed and Click energy can't run their own house in order. Do not waste your time being with such a provider. You will be mugged and harrassed even after 5 years.

Forget about One Big Switch.. move on – Don't be deceived by the One Big Switch discounts. I was given 26% off electricity pay on time. Im now with Energy Australia and my quarter bill averages $300. More than HALVED. Please, be careful with scammers out there.

cannot believe I didn't investiage this sooner. No wonder when I was asking people what they were paying it was much lower than what I was. I also compared GAS to AGL's current offerings and would be saving more now, than previously! It pays to shop around. I do this with everything else, I'm such an idiot! Click energy rang me weeks later to follow up on the connection and I informed them I had actually cancelled. They were seemingly shocked I hadnt the patience to wait for them to work out how to run a power company. AVOID.

I never knew existed and no reminder notice of any kind for an unpaid bill was ever sent (still at same address, just changed energy companies) for years, ever. Of course, there's a billing error on it. Paying for their incompetence years later.

their discount, the bills were substantial. I also turned my hot water off for days and then on for a day, just to lower the bill. Some of the bills were the most expensive I'd ever paid in the 30+ years that I've had electricity accounts. I then sold the house and called to organise the final reading - they changed the dates and I ended up paying for when I wasn't even living there (even though they were advised well in advance, of the date). I have since changed providers and have now received two (quarterly bills) - the two bills don't even add up to what I was paying for one quarter - and the hot water has never been turned off.

I would never use Click Energy again - I believe AGL have acquired Click Energy. I've never had a problem with AGL but the association with Click Energy is enough to ensure (in my case), that I now would be extremely hesitant to use AGL (which is unfortunate for AGL).

NO END OF STRESS AND DRAMA – Since Click transferred to AGL I have received a $319 bill (my normal bill is about $150/mt) then they kindly adjusted it after I called to $1213.04 for the same billing period of 32 days and I have just received my latest bill for a 30 day period of wait for it $2099.63. Wow where the human came into this process. I spoke to three different managers and was told my account would be put on hold only to get the latest two bills!!!! NOT HAPPY!!!  Show details

Good at first but bad after transfer – It is good for years. Then I realised that they provide rates a bit higher than others. Things got worse after they were bought by AGL. No customer service at all. But now everything moves to AGL, things get easier. Show details

Sad they are going – We have been with Click Energy for seven years, when we moved five years ago the transition was smooth as it was when we installed solar panels. The service has always been reliable and the staff very helpful and it was a pleasure to have an Australian call centre. We were also very happy with the rates and the billing method. Very sad to see them acquired by AGL which means less competition in the future. Show details

Poor customer service – Customer service is wishy washy, with people not responding to the question you ask and giving a generic unrelated answer instead.
