coll p. In reference for Induction Cook tops. All pots and pans must be able to be magnetic in other words contain iron that has an attraction to a magnet. A test is to place a magnet to your pan or pot at the base and if it clings it is suitable to induction cooking and it will work... super just the same as gas with instant response.

Contempo Induction Cooker purchased may years ago is a great economical unit to cook on.

Try it a it is great.

Hi Mick and great to help you out. Yay! I can't believe my Contempo Induction Cooker from Big W purchased for AU$45 is now 5 years old! Working well but surface features have faded but I know where they are. Economical way to cook and save money fast and effective. Select 100 C for boiling then select 200 watts simmer on wow. A bust of 400 watts for frying on a pan maybe 600 watts for a minute or two. A great way to cook and save money on electricity bills! Sorry to be rude but I understand :)! Hi HAJAR F. The L means locked on the screen and you just need to press the on off button and it works when first plug in with mains power. Just did it on my 3 year old cooker just now yes it shows L and then press the on/off button and whirl it works! Ready to cook! Yum!

Thanks Big W as time goes by my cooker is hitting 4 years of age all good all fully operational surface prints are disappearing ... but I know where they are! Press the location and I got it Yay:)

what happens after the watt numbers comes up.....a manual is hard to find
