We built with content and got keys end of may 2025, latest big rain in Perth in march 2026, Saturday morning we woke to 600ml of water on our gas cooktop that had come from the range hood. on hold for 60mins in total took my number and the problem asked if it was urgent I said yes and they said they would contact on call supervisor and call us asap. Nothing heard so I called Content Monday morning 10am, told them haven’t been able to use rangehood or oven since Saturday due to water issue, response from service team was earliest they could come out is 2.5 weeks as area supervisor currently on leave, when I asked About the fact I haven’t been able to cook with oven, was told it should have dried out now and ok to use, if not don’t worry it will just trip the safety breaker. Told i expected more for the amount of money spent on build and wanted to talk to management, she said she would pass the email onto management, nothing heard.
The only good experience with content was the designer who is top notch and he even tried to help in this case, after service is cr#p unless it’s easy and requires them to pass the buck to a tap supplier due to warranty.
I have enjoyed the service I got from Rob Cole from the very first day we discussed my desire to build my new home with Content Living. Once construction started, we were very fortunate to have Chris Bishop as our supervisor. Chris honestly took so much of the stress out of the building process. He was highly proactive with communication, always kept us informed, identified issues before we even had to raise them, and made sure fixes were implemented promptly. He was also very effective with scheduling and managing trades, which made a huge difference to how smoothly everything progressed. We also had a great experience with the Client Liaison team, especially Shanon, Lilly, and Brooke. They were supportive, responsive, and helpful throughout the journey, and it really made the overall experience even better.
From start to finish, we felt well supported and looked after. Our timeline was:

for a 5 bedroom house with scullery so it's not a small home! In a state where the quality of builds is quite scary to trust and navigate, we were definitely very hesitant and went to every builder possible before feeling comfortable with Content thanks to our consultant Nick Dalili who is an absolute legend and the only person I can recommend to go to from the 40 or so we spoke to from other companies at every display home in Perth. He's honest, understood all of our needs to make sure they were put first, was very patient with all our changes, checked in throughout the whole build on how the process was all going and is just an all round top bloke who's super easy to get on with. Do yourself a favour and reach out to Nick if looking to build, you won't regret it. As mentioned the entire build took only 9 months for full completion with the only major hiccups being the time frame and minor issues with the bricklayer at the beginning, but our supervisor and Content worked with us to get it all rectified in a timely manner. I'm not sure if you can request a liaison officer and supervisor if you go ahead with content but if it's possible, I highly recommend Alicia as the liaison as her communication was second to none. She kept us informed throughout, was very knowledgeable on the whole process and answered our calls every time for any questions we had. Most times people say they'll call back but don't, where Alicia was on it and always called back if she was busy at the time. We can't thankyou enough for your communication throughout. Our supervisor Kyle was also phenomenal. In his first year as a supervisor he absolutely smashed it out of the park. Not only was he easy to get on with but he made time for us to meet at the site whenever we wanted to have a look and ask questions, gave us time frames and really put in the work to have it all done by Christmas which he expressed to us early on was going to be his goal. Even in the last few weeks prior to our handover, there were a fair few things needing to be done and we thought there's no way it'll be done in time. But to his credit, he was on the phone like a mad man and got it all completed so we could move in. We also had an inspector at each interval throughout and any issues that were picked up on the report, there was absolutely no kick back from content whatsoever, with each issue rectified which I have heard has been an issue with some other of the big name builders. For anyone out there that is worried about finding a builder because of the horror stories you hear, just know we were in the same boat, but there are builders out there that do a great job and Content for us have been absolutely amazing. If the time ever comes around again, we would only build again with Content in the future as we have experienced what we have and can only recommend our experience to others. Super happy and amazed we were one of the first in the street to be done and in by Christmas! Thanks Content team for all your efforts.

upgrades during the PPA stage, there were several items that needed to be reviewed, corrected, or added. Despite the complexity, Indi handled everything professionally and made the process smooth.
A special mention to Jatin (JT). He stepped in when needed and ensured every detail was correct and aligned with what we had requested during PPA. His help was genuinely appreciated and gave us confidence that nothing would be overlooked.
Overall, the appointment went smoothly and the team made sure our selections and changes were correctly captured.

Update 03/11/25 - Building contracts received and signed on 02/11/25. Everything is moving along just as JT said it would when we signed our PPA on 29/07/25 — very happy with the progress so far. we are looking forward to Prestart.
Jatin Pithia - This is my third time building, and the second time with Content Living — and once again, they’ve delivered above expectations. Content Living was great value for money back in 2021 when I first built with them, and it still is today. Being my third time building I’m extremely picky when it comes to details, and the process involved countless emails and back-and-forth WhatsApp messages that would’ve driven any sales consultant crazy. But not once did Jatin complain. His knowledge, patience, and work ethic truly stood out. Our home was built within the promised time frame, and the overall quality appears to be excellent. While there were a couple of minor issues—such as a missed blind and a shower rail—we’re confident these will be addressed promptly.
What impressed us even more was their competitive pricing; their PSM rate was better than even Dreamstart Homes, which made our decision that much easier. Overall, we’re very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend them to others.

4/10 Slow. 3 month delay from slab to bricks. Zero contact without me chasing them. Near zero contact with Build supervisior since. Its 2025 so what company would operate via indirect communication and private numbers then filtering of calls by admin staff? One stuck in the past. Does not facilitate relationships, trust and accountability...all key things for customers in their industry. An $850 fee for admin of any variation indicates too many Indians not enough chiefs in the business model. Was recently told by admin I would be paying for disposal of minor dumped metal waste when bins clearly accept it and supervisior said not an issue. Issued contrite verbal apology over phone and lectured about how busy supervisors are to take calls from clients...lol! Quality and Value for Money 7/10 Seems acceptable time will tell. Cabinets, brickwork and tiling seem to be our highlights. M2 rate best we could find but based on customer service I must say we seem to have got what we paid for, but feel it could be even cheaper if not for all the Indians.
Have to rate as slightly bad overall as besides Matt it's all been way harder and more stressful than it has needed to be. My lived experience is this is a result of their business model that's admin heavy at the expense of experience, accountability and leadership.

What a disgrace of a company!!!! – "Disappointing experience with Content Living . In Feb 2022, their salesperson made false promises about the building design and provided incorrect pricing information. This was the starting point for a series of issues that have left a sour taste. Sale person has been fired after misbehaving and misleading others customers. The amount of money… Read more
on extras that we had to come up with mounted into the thousands due to the fact that the sales man was not upfront from the start and there were ongoing hidden costs and bull variations that in my mind they should have paid for. They are rip offs and their pricing for "upgrades" they offer are absolutely ridiculous.
It started with a salesperson who misled us about building design and pricing in Feb 2022. We then experienced intentional delays during the pre-start phase, as they tried to extract more money for upgrades. The pre-start lady went on annual leave, causing further delays, and we couldn't get the upgrade prices on time. As a result, council approval didn't happen within the promised 45 days. To add insult to injury, they raised the price by $25k in July 2022. Poor communication, lack of transparency, and blatant cost increases have defined our experience.
Despite making timely payments, the project has been plagued by slow progress and poor supervision. The slab was finally laid in Nov 2022, and brickwork was completed in Dec 2022. However, the roof carpeting job, which started in Feb 2023, has been ongoing for 7-8 months, with the worker only attending once a week. Completed it in September 2023. Usually it is completed in 1 month with three people team in single story house. During this time, we've seen 4 site supervisors come and go.
After reaching the lockup stage, the supervision became even more inadequate, with no dedicated site supervisor for our project. Instead, the area manager was left to oversee the tradies, resulting in further delays. A prime example is the two bathroom and laundry tile job, which took an unacceptable 2 months to complete.
Despite making timely payments, we received our keys in Feb 2024 without unfinished as our contract including:No flooring, No paint, No electrical LEDS, No driveway, No alfresco, (as per contract).
In March 2024, we reported numerous defects, including: - Major internal plaster issues, with walls not aligned, it is big job to re plaster - Two doors that don't close properly (still unresolved as of Aug 2024) - window blinds took 6 months to install and fixed it as selected we were living in brand new house without blinds.
The plaster job rectification is a significant task, requiring: Removal of skirting and large floor tiles, Fixing plaster issues, Reinstalling skirting and floor tiles,
Yet, every week, we're fed new excuses for the delayed plaster job. We've been chasing them since March/April 2024, but still, the issues remain unresolved as of August 2024. The constant delays and excuses have been exhausting.
After adding the productreview in August, Service manager contacted me to remove the review and everything will be done ones plaster come back from holiday after a month. I did remove it as he committed but still content living is having an issue to find the tiler in WA until November. They are misleading me from March until November. Still I have no idea when it will be done all plaster issues in my house.
Our dream home has turned into a nightmare. Beware of false promises, delays and subpar workmanship. Look elsewhere for a reliable builder.

our build, to his credit, Mark turned out to be the only good thing about content living. Now on to our 4th build consultant, 3rd Supervisor, again, weren’t told anything until having to chase up what was going on because we had no comms on anything, no replies to email, no returned phone calls. To this date emails are not replied to, every time ringing the office, ohh no sorry she’s busy at the moment and will call you back, do you think that happens? Nope! We complained about the quality of the brickwork from the beginning, only to be told there’s nothing wrong with it, yet my 3 year old could stack bricks better than them. New supervisor let the cat out of the bag saying he was a ex brickie and the brickwork was terrible, hmmm that’s exactly what we’ve been saying the whole time. Now we have a recessed patio ceiling with a cornace that looks like a snake it has that many twists in it from a crooked wall and roof beams at different heights. Build is supposed to be completed in august, tiling hasn’t even been started, been told 3 times if the tiler isn’t there on this day he’s fired, still hasnt happened, more lies! Apparently 8 weeks after tilers finished til PCI, tiler has now delayed this build by a total of 7 weeks and still they have no idea, and the whole time none of the repair work has even been done! Nothing about the workmanship on this build is of quality at all, there’s damage to almost everything. Nothing good about this builder and their communication or ability to plan anything at all. Don’t expect any comms and expect to have to chase every stage to see anything happen at all!

Review of 20 year old Content house – Hi Guys, just thought I would add a review as to how a 20 year old Content Living house is holding up. Still standing and looks good. All I have had to replace is both bathrooms (leaking showers), the kitchen, the gutters, the doors, some of the windows, the veranda posts, the water and power run-ins, one ceiling, and have only had to deal with 3 major cracks in walls. While there were a few minor miscommunications along the way (as can happen in any build process), overall, our experience with Nick — and with Indi during Pre-Start — has been a positive one.

Update 23/3/2026 We had an absolutely fantastic experience at our pre‑start! The food was amazing, which was such a great start to the day. Danni was incredible — she guided us through so many details we never would’ve picked up on ourselves. And JT popped in with his trademark helpfulness, stepping in right when we needed him.
