had to pay $10 shipping plus another $10 return fee just to exchange the size.
After returning the shoes, I was then informed that the replacement size was out of stock. This meant I ended up without the shoes I wanted and lost an additional $20 in fees through no fault of my own.
Customer service was polite, but no reimbursement or goodwill compensation was offered despite the exchange not being fulfilled.
I’m sharing this so other customers are aware before ordering online — especially if you are unsure about sizing. Be prepared for additional costs if you need to exchange an item.

Xxhi Narrower compared to same size of other converse chuck shoes – I wear converse every day and have a few pairs in the same size, so I ordered my normal size in the xxhi top shoes and they are a size smaller and narrower then my normal ones even though they are the same size and the website size chart says that they are a larger size so pick a smaller size. The length wasn't the problem it was how narrow it was. I noticed that on the bottom of the shoe there is a little star but no size number but on my other pairs that fit there is both a star and a size number and the ones with the size number on them aren't narrow.
I asked them if the shoes had size changes and no response to that just a generic our shoes tend to run larger then most other brands and I should order the size that closely matched the cm or rest of the sizing for that shoe ect. .... I told them that I compared my converse shoes in the original email! How can 2/3 pairs of shoes from the same brand be different sizes when they aren't the dainty size but all chuck styles! This is nonsense.

Horrible customer service – Ordered a size 8 was sent a size 9, called right away and they said the problem would be rectified by sending out the correct size with a return post bag in the package... Now I'm having to jump through hoops to get the exchange sorted even though it was their mess up!

Found an item I wanted, got to the checkout and it doesn't ship to my country, AND the product is not available in my country. If you're a foreign buyer don't buy converse, they only ship the left over slop to countries outside the US.

returned shoes to me via post, despite my unsatisfied response. They provided picture of post with NO tracking number or item description -when I again questioned this as an unsatisfactory outcome Converse staff member became more unhelpful and placed blame on customer for condition of shoes -tracking email sent from the posting company a day later with the tracking number leading to customer further questioning honesty on shoe condition and actual times that shoes were posted. Said my shoes were sent, tracking shows them lost and even after communication from the transport and the tracking showing lost i have been left out of pocket and do not have the shoes. Do not buy online the company they use for delivery is terrible and you will be left without shoes and without money to buy elsewhere.

It seems that Converse Australia do not fully address customer feedback and negative reviews. It might be beneficial for customers to escalate their concerns to Converse Global HQ.
This could prompt them to take meaningful action regarding their distributor, helping to safeguard their reputation and brand integrity.

(Stupidly I tried again because they have a good sale on at the moment - big mistake - their shoes must be made somewhere else now because there was even glue on the shoes and a line of white glue across the bottom where it had been attached to the top. They also claim you need to size down with some products - absolutely false. I didn't size down and even the size I ordered was too small - NEVER AGAIN!) as you start wearing them natural perspiration from the foot starts damaging the sole inlay and inevitably rain or a puddle will contribute to the sole perishing away from the shoe. Some retailers claim to sell a secondary spray adhesive to stop perishing but this does virtually nothing since rain, puddles or humidity can happen at any time.

Although they look like vintage running shoes, they can't be marketed as such because running in them is not dependable past a few months. They are mislabeled as "comfort footwear" because they are low-irritation shoes with about the same durability as cheap, mass produced plastic slippers.
Shoe retailers move these McDonalds-style shoes every day, but they actually should be more concerned about the millions of pieces of discarded plastic junk they are creating. Converse, and it's major shareholders and parent company (easily referenced) create a low quality, high pollution product in Chinese industrial parks and completely overcharge above their wholesale price.

Still waiting……still – Sent my purchase back for an exchange and was received by them five working days ago. Heard nothing, been sent nothing, they’ve responded to nothing I’ve sent asking when to expect the exchange. What a-paling service. First and last purchase from them at this point.

Have contacted Converse several times with absolutely NO response. Will never buy online from them again.
