Five stars is not enough for the service I received today . I was going to shout out one staff member but I received outstanding service from every staff member I encountered . From the lovely male fitting room attendant to the various beautiful women in store my experience was remarkable . I believe this Brisbane city store was the best service… Read more
overall from any retail store I’ve visited in recent days weeks or months . Thanks to all these lovely people for making me feel so valued .
If you're female, there's a wide range of colours, styles and floor space dedicated to helping you find something that suits. If you're male, ypu cn go to the furtherest corner and choose from 1 of the 4 t-shirts, 1 of the 3 styles of pants or go somewhere else. Obviously gender discrimination doesn't translate into the corporate marketing world

Bought a jumper which I love, but only worn it 3 times and the pilling is so bad. I’ve tried removing it, but it’s so badly pilled it doesn’t come off. Cotton on really needs to look at the quality of the materials they’re using. $40 for something I will have to throw out after 3 wears- wasting money and contributing to unnecessary landfill.

Bought the women's women's slides, these absolutely tore up my feet within minutes. I now have bloodied and injured tops of both feet that require daily dressings. Will be seeking a refund Show details
Smiling Kai from Haymarket Cotton On Sydney NSW 2000 – Here's me, a 60 year Old Dad - with an eight year old daughter, bent on me finding a specific pair of boots, hi cut canvas or leather, etc....After heaps of searching, more stores than I care to list, I went into Cotton On, in Hay Market, Sydney, 2000, and was met by "Kai" the assistant store manager, she had a big smiling face, and genuinely… Read more
questioned me on the purpose of my search, and she directed me to a possible competitor no less? somewhere in the shops. Anyway, I came home with a pair of styled boots, from the character "Leslie," from the "Bridges To Terabithia" Book / movie., and my daughter will be thrilled. Super nice of you Kai, and your genuine concern and patience with me, as I also have a disability, and shopping is quite stressful for me. In my personal opinion, coming from someone who has been in the customer service fielf for 42 years, "Loving the general public as they come into your store, or place of business, genuinely and randomly, is a superb character trait, of a future Head Manager, of one - or many stores. Cheers to you and your team Kai, at the "Cotton On" - Haymarket, NSW, 2000; you now have a future customer(s), from my entire family - in Cremorne, NSW.
Very weird fabric – My husband purchased a pair of men's shorts. Every day, bog standard shorts. $50 marked down to $35. Made in Bangladesh. Supposedly 90% cotton and 10% elastine. He loved them, he wore them for a few days and then wanted to freshen them up. I threw them in the washing machine with two other items. I used about a dessertspoon of the liquid wash I… Read more
use on everything else. They are ruined. Whatever the fabric is, it has absorbed the washing liquid like it was bleach. The other washed items are unmarked. I know that Cotton On items are cheap but this is mind boggling. If other clothing were affected you'd blame the washing liquid. The shorts will go to Vinnies but I doubt they'll want them, and we have wasted $35.
Appalling quality – Didn't even get one wear out of a kid hoodie before the front pocket seam came undone in the wash. Lots of other seams are also coming undone. Exchanging/returning (if possible) just means the first garnement will end up in landfill. Show details

I was at the Rundle Mall cotton on and wanted an exact replica of these other jeans that I already had. As soon as I walked in an employee asked if i needed any help, i said yes then she said someone would come to help us and not even a minute later a lady came and looked at the jeans and was looking in their online catalog to find it. Although they do not stock those jeans any more I was very happy with the level of service they provided. Show details

Absolutely Appalling Customer Service at Cotton On Warrawong On Friday 4th December, I shopped at Cotton On MacArthur Square (not my usual centre) and purchased two fairy dresses for my granddaughters. Before buying, I specifically asked the young staff member if I could exchange the dresses if the sizing wasn’t right. I was told “Yes, absolutely… Read more
— just keep the tags on. Any Cotton On store will exchange it.”
Fast forward to Monday 8th December, when I went to Cotton On Warrawong to simply exchange a green size 2 dress for a size 3 in red. I stood at the counter for about five minutes before a young staff member, Shanaya, finally approached.
I politely explained I needed an exchange — tags still on, receipt in hand, item purchased just days earlier. Instead of assisting, she scrutinised the dress like she was looking for a crime scene clue, then abruptly informed me no exchange would be done because it was “marked”, and pushed the dress back toward me.
I attempted (again) to show my receipt and explain the situation, but she cut me off, stating it was “not Warrawong’s problem” and that I should take it back to Campbelltown. The rudeness, condescension, and complete lack of customer service was honestly shocking.
Under ACCC guidelines, when an item is faulty, does not meet acceptable quality, and has tags and proof of purchase, a store must offer an exchange, refund, or store credit. Instead, I was blamed for not checking the product and MacArthur staff were blamed for “selling a faulty item.” Not only was NO solution offered — I was dismissed.
I ended up buying the size 3 dress I needed anyway and then called the MacArthur store, where a lovely young woman apologised and said they would gladly rectify the issue. Unfortunately, I cannot get back there until next Friday. This was no problem young lady gave me her name and managers name!
To the manager, of Warrawong Bella: please ensure your staff understand basic customer service — and the law. No customer should be treated the way I was today.
Buyers beware: Cotton On Warrawong shows zero professionalism, zero accountability, and absolutely no customer care. I will not be returning.
This is a review for CO and Factorie at Westfield Plenty valley. I have had to go to Factories thrice in the last few weeks and everytime they say if I need a bag I need to buy a Tote one for $5. I did buy it twice but today I was fed up and said I'd carry four pieces of clothing. I then went to CO and they again said they didn't have paper bags. Stop robbing people of their money and to top it, we are asked if we want to donate money. Show details

Mislead and deceptive pricing for their brand Typo. In store and online pricing can be different for the same product. No warning for consumers. Low quality product. Don’t purchase from them. Can’t see how they will survive for much longer given the above. Show details

⸻ I had such a lovely experience shopping at Cotton On in Westfield Southland! I picked up the Riri tank and I’m so happy with it. The sale was amazing and there were so many great pieces to choose from. The staff were really nice and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. They were friendly and welcoming, and happy to assist when needed. Overall, such a positive shopping trip — I’ll definitely be back! Show details
Disappointed with Customer Service at Oran Park Store As a loyal Cotton On customer who was excited to finally have a store in Oran Park, my first visit unfortunately left me very disappointed. I’ve shopped frequently at the different stores, purchasing items for my family overseas, and have always appreciated the brand’s quality and service—until… Read more
today. During my visit, I politely asked the store manager whether the ABN number was the same across all Cotton On stores, as is common with many major retail brands. Instead of providing a simple clarification, I was met with a surprisingly rude and dismissive response. She claimed not to know the ABN and refused to even check or acknowledge the invoice I showed from another location. She insisted that the ABN was somehow “private” information—despite it clearly being printed on receipts, which are public documents. Her attitude was unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome as a customer. Rather than offering any help, she sarcastically told me to “buy something and you’ll find out.” It’s unfortunate when poor customer service overshadows a great brand. I hope Cotton On takes this feedback seriously and provides better training to ensure respectful, informed, and courteous treatment of all.
Where is the COTTON. These shops are all “polyester on”. The max cotton content is leas than 50%. Hey we are supposed to be protecting the planet so everybody is buying electric cars while wearing clothes made out of fossil fuels that will clog landfill for centuries. biodegradeable it is sustainable!! Do BETTER. Also the colours are VILE UGLY colors and thats also what you get when you use cheap polyester fabrics. Cotton dyes much nicer cleaner colors.
Do not buy from Cotton On phusical stores as they are ay more expensive than online – i just bought a pair of pants from Cotton On Top Ryde and when i got home, i reckoned the same pants is $10 cheaper if you purchased it online, i then went online to chat with the cotton on rep, and i was literally been told it is under their terms that price is different from their online store and they can't do anything about it, i feel being cheated on and the rep was just like, i am sorry. it's literally a scam
Store purchase not honored – Item was on sale two (2) tops for $30.00, I was charged $49.98,where's the sale? I didn't notice how much I was charged until I got home. I couldn't return to the store because I don't have a car and it would take too long to get to Paramus Mall in NJ by bus. I was so disappointed that that the sale was not honored. I tried to call the store and number on te receipt did not work. Show details
Products unavailable – My local Cotton On store did not have the products that appeared on the website. Apparently stores in less populated areas don’t get all the Cotton On products, even though they are advertised on the specific store website. Availability should be clear and I could see nothing to indicate this on the website.
Click n Collect? No, it's Click n Wait – Ordered two items showing "in stock" on website for click n collect... Five days later staff in Queen St store say it's being "shipped" and isn't available. Their system is not "click n collect" it is buy it, and wait a week for them to get it in, so they can maintain floor stock. Lost a customer permanently, in under just under two sales. Show details
How to feel unwelcome in a retail store – Arrived at DFP Moorabbin store 30 minutes prior to scheduled closing time and asked to try some clothes on and was told that on Sundays the change room closed 30 minutes early so they could go home on time. Plastic and fake – If I could give 0 stars I would. overpriced considering the awful quality of the clothes. I bought kids pjs asssuming they were cotton. When the kids got sweaty I checked the fabric only to realise there’s not 1 bit of cotton in the pjs. Stupid me for assuming but shame on cotton on for misleading customers. Never again. Show details
Missing Sales Staff – 3om Australia Fair and nobody on the till. The queue grows. We call. We look. Five minutes...no staff can be found. Two young women eventually found chatting in a corner ...no apology. Terrible service Show details
Not Ideal as a Gift – I took my daughter to Cotton On to pick out some clothes for my wife for Christmas. Cotton On emailed my wife about our purchase 4 days before Christmas ruining the surprise. Such an inconsiderate act. I assume this is because we share a credit card. I did not offer an email during the transaction nor was I advised that an email would follow the transaction. Had I known that I would have shopped at a different store
UNFAIR TREATMENT TO CUSTOMERS – I went to purchase things with a friend and my friend was asked "Would you like a bag?". In response she asked if the bags were free or not. after by the same cashier!! I did not ask about it because it was only after I had realised I was treated differently. They'd probably think I am crazy for demanding the 20 cents back too. But just know Cotton On that I will never come back to shopping with you because of how your employees treat your customers with inconsistency and probably biases.
terrible service – I bought two different sizes of pants for my son because I was not sure which size will suite him with the intend of returning one of them. yet. She said if the refund was not in your account come back. I went back a few times to the store. The store manager tried to figure this out with no success. First time, She said someone with contact me from customer service and nobody contacted me. Second time she called someone again and said the finance team will look at it. I decided to follow up myself using the Chat service on the website. After more than a month, I was told there has not been any progress and finance team need to look at it. I do not care about the money anymore. It is just the matter that nobody within the organization care about their customer and that there has not been one single person that knows how to do their job is really disappointing!
Excessive email spamming after purchase – Years ago I signed up for their member rewards thing and made sure I wouldn't get emails. I recently made a purchase in store and the spamming began. They're relentless. Unsubscribing requires several more emails and takes several days. I'm still getting spammed by them.
