I submitted a claim to Cover-More for losses incurred due to a medical issue. The personnel at Cover-More were helpful every step of the way. I will definitely use Cover-More again. The policy seemed expensive at the time but it is now good value considering the outcome of my claim. It took 8 working days for the claim to be processed. We have used Cover-More four times now when travelling overseas.
Absolutely appreciated the prompt response to our claim and will definitely recommend and use your company again. We put the claim in on a Friday morning and it was approved on the following Wednesday (3-4 business days) which is the best response we have ever had to a claim (only ever had 1 other in all ours years of travelling). and they contacted Covermore on my behalf as I was incapacitated. Everything went ahead relatively smoothly and stress free for me. I had regular phone calls from staff at Covermore with updates and various things I had to inform them of. As I needed surgery there were options discussed about having surgery in Thailand or being flown back to Australia for treatment. I was leaning towards surgery in Thailand and after discussing it with Covermore medical team, it was agreed that I be treated in Thailand. Good decision and great outcome. Im my opinion Covermore went above and beyond with how my claim was handled. All staff I spoke with by phone were extremely helpful and understanding of my situation. It was a stressful time for me but at no time did Covermore add to that stress. Once I returned to Australia I needed to put in a couple more claims for personal items damaged in Accident. I'm a dinosaur when it comes to all things computer so I actually needed to external help with these claims. I received emails and phone calls about these claims and was kept in the loop with what was happening. All aspects of my claims have been settled now and I can't thank Covermore and their staff enough. Anyone who travels without travel insurance is insane. You just never know. Medical costs in foreign countries is extremely expensive so being fully covered makes more sense than starting Go Fund Me page to try and raise the funds needed to cover everything. I can't recommend Covermore highly enough. They are next level Awesome.

a cancer diagnosis which required surgery that couldn’t wait until after the trip. Our claim was immediately submitted via Flight centre…….and then the headaches began. It took over a year for Cover-more to finally pay the claim. They showed absolutely no compassion or empathy, they were extremely difficult to deal with, they claimed to have paid the claim when they hadn’t, and they seemed to delay the claim as much as they could. I was required to attend at my doctor to have forms filled out when it was specifically made clear to Cover-more that my doctor had no involvement in my condition, and that any information or records from him were irrelevant. After being told I needed this to continue with the claim, I was left with no choice but to make an appointment and arrange irrelevant information and considerable expense to myself. Apparently Cover-more have a condition in their policies that the customer must bear the cost for anything or any information they request. Anyone considering Cover-more needs to be aware of this. Finally, after a year and 9 days, I received a payment from Cover-more, the only explanation for their delays and behaviour….’I apologise for what seemed a system issue’. Simply not good enough. I would not recommend Cover-more travel insurance, their service is absolutely appalling.

heavily discounted, or parts simply denied due for what I still regard as spurious/dishonest reasons. And it always took months of hard work to resolve anything.
But miracles do happen and Covermore paid absolutely eveything I claimed - quickly and without any fuss or argument. They restored at least a little bit of my faith in insurers. Some still retain some integrity.

inexplicably included a dahs). - Held me on the phone for hours repeatedly without actually DOING anything for me. - Given me countless sentences starting with "should" while thinking that the same action might result in different outcomes. - Not investigated to matter properly. - Not made the payment on the day promised. - Given me unrealistic timelines. - Refused to put me through to team leaders. - Not called me back when promised. - Hung up on me - And only initiated complaints proceeding when I threaten with the Ombudsman and media.
And now I have to wait another 30 days for the complaint to be finalised, while they still have my money and I can't pay my bills. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
Our policy was easy to set up via our travel agent and sadly we had to cancel our overseas travel and return home immediately, only two days into our trip. refund was claimed/applicable via our bookings but we understood that it was necessary. Travel insurance only reimburses out of pocket so claims need to be looked at and approved and evidence needs to be provided. We just put ourselves in the shoes of the employees of covermore and gave them the info they needed. Approval didn’t take long, it only took about 2 weeks once we had provided some info we had missed. We will in future keep a log of all bookings and receipts in a folder on our computer just in case we ever need to claim again. We were very happy with the required process and other family members also had the same experience with their claims. After what happened to make us cancel our trip we appreciated that cover more didn’t make the claim process any harder than it needed to be. This was our 3rd policy, we are looking at finally getting overseas again next year and we won’t hesitate to use cover more for our travel ins once again.

I would have the support of the tour leader if I needed emergency treatment- otherwise I really preferred to have medical follow up at home in Australia. I was able to talk this through with the Cover-More staff. This made a huge difference. I received follow up phone and message support during the next week from Cover-More. The focus was all about my health and my safety. I am now home, having completed my trip and am booked for a scope in 3 days time. I have always taken out travel insurance, but, before this, I had never had cause to use it. In the end I didn t have to make a claim on my insurance, but the support I received from the Cover-More team made such a difference. I will certainly use this company again.

Cover-More paid us the amount of our losses except the amount of the credit. We then cancelled the credit and Cover-More paid us the amount of the credit. We are delighted with this result and have insured with Cover-More for our trip to the Kimberley and the NT.

think it maybe a good idea to remind travellers to put on a good strong name tag, use a padlock and take photos of their checked luggage, before they leave. Particularly if the luggage is going to a final destination while they have a few hours at another place on the way. Which I did. However, I could relax knowing I was covered with Cover-More but it's still a nuisance to be without luggage for a day or so if it goes missing. The padlocks are only a deterrent to thieves, I guess.

Stay away from this company. They like taking money from customers but when you need them, it takes them 1 month to reply only to be told they will reject the claim. Even if you are legally (according to QLD government websites) entitled to get compensated, they will refuse to help and blanket everything as “you shouldve have read the terms and conditions”. Argentina. Cover more has just covered our claim including additionally and inflated prices for a flight, accommodation, and rental car hire. I am pleased with the outcome and would recommend the upgraded version of cover.
