Cox Lawn mower blades for 30 inch plate 13 hp and rear catcher. The only number I can find is cr8002 wich I can closed to . My friend gave it to me as a loan. I know that it doesn't take 198 mm to long and 150 mm to short. I need a 170 mm. These measurements are from centre of the bolt hole to the cutting edge. I hope you can help me find the right mower blades. Many thanks Gil.
I have a Cox Stockman 2 that has not been used for a number of years and now the peddle is very stiff to use, even when disconnected from the steel rod (drive link) leading to the rear. The pin housing tube is welded under the peddle and the pin itself is welded on both sides so how do you remove the pin to clean up any rust or lubricate it ?

Hi can the connecting rod to the foot pedal be adjusted ?
Yes it adjusted by moving the discs under the seat in or out to give the pedal more or less travel.
Thank you, yes I knew that but was wondering if the rod itself was adjustable to make the pedal more responsive..its an old machine.

My Cox stockman is simply too fast . How do I slow it down . I note the front drive cog is already minute?
The right forward and reverse pedal gives vary speed. Less pressure with your right foot is the answer.
under the seat is the drive system. The forward action engages the the hub to the drive disc. If the if the drive disc is undone and moved it can increase or decrease speed. If the hub has worn down it will increase speed also. Either try adjustment or purchase a new hub from Cox. You can do it yourself.
how Do I obtain a service manual for oil and other things . Thanks Jeff Hayes
What is the best oil type for the cox mower
I have been using Castrol RX Super 15w40 in my Honda twin Cox. . It exceeds most small engine specs particularly in hot weather. Have used this in other small engines without issue for over 20 yrs eg Vanguard, Kohler,
The type of engine determines the oil used. Engine specs will tell you oil type. Older engines do not have oil filters and use sludging oils like mine. Only other item to change is the air filter if it is clogged and cannot be air blasted.
