the showrooms for selections and although it takes some time is good to have a fair number of options for items included or upgrades. In short, great design, a good number of options for selections, and outstanding customer service.

We are currently at the selection stage and really enjoying the process. Dechellis have you go to each of the suppliers to make your selections directly with them. It’s been a very positive experience and we love that you can see all the products/choices available and see other options if you want to upgrade. We have visited many of the suppliers numerous times to work out what we want, so have been able to be really prepared before each selection appointment. It’s been so much fun. Everyone whom we have dealt with so far has been fantastic and we are really happy - we have no hesitation in highly recommending Dechellis Homes. frustrated with their responses (admittedly used some choice words), but they showed zero interest in assessing what went wrong or taking any responsibility. Bottom line: Dechellis markets itself as premium, but you get the same dismissive service as any volume builder when problems arise. Don't pay extra for the fancy name - you're not getting better quality or support. Save your money.
Follow-up · Some electrical seemed shoddy in roof space. Some walls don't align right. Flooring had slipping floorboards. They used the wrong bricks, so the house doesn't properly align on the foundation. The roof leaked on the first winter. I could go on...

flexibility is really important to me which they deliver. Their staff are also very experienced, with lots of industry experience. What I also like to say to people who want to build, it’s important to do your own diligence, pay extra attention to details like : where am I going to place my aircon unit, water tank? Is there enough access space for the future landscaping work ? If these are not brought up for a discussion in the meeting with the consultant, then there may not be an easy solution when your plans are done. Would I build again with Dechellis in the future ? Very likely. Will come back for more review when we start the actual construction stage.

One thing we especially appreciated about Dechellis was how thorough and well-organised the selections stage was. We had the opportunity to meet all the suppliers personally, and at no point did we feel rushed into making decisions. Having the time and space to carefully consider our choices made the whole experience feel exciting rather than overwhelming, and gave us real confidence moving into the building stage.
We also had a wonderful experience during our final selections meeting with Rutu. She was thorough, patient, and incredibly helpful in answering our questions. We really appreciated how respectful she was of our decisions while still making every effort to assist us throughout the process.
We would absolutely build again with Dechellis, especially if we get to work with gems like Etienne and Rutu! ✨

few things we wanted to tweak, and Nick worked with us the whole time to make those happen. He spent time working through different layout options to get us exactly what we wanted - even when it didn't seem possible at first.
We also had unexpected issues arise around trees, as well as boundary complications with a neighbouring property. Nick helped us navigate every step, always responded quickly and kept us informed the whole way through.
Although we had some delays (through no fault of Dechellis, but because of the trees and a law change since we purchased our block), Nick kept working with us and we're super happy to finally have planning approval. We highly recommend Dechellis to anyone wanting a builder who genuinely cares about getting it right and making their clients happy with the result.
