Love my morning Nespresso! – I could not speak highly enough of this little machine. I still am flat out getting a better coffee anywhere (except Rome, amazing coffee!) and this little machine has been turning out perfect long blacks every day since 2010! I have not had to do anything to this machine other than clean it superficially, not even a descale! I always rinse… Read more

Expensive piece of junk – I knew I was in trouble when the machine came with a 197 page instruction manual! Coffee is only luke warm. The one touch for various size coffees is a very expensive gimic. You are better off buying the more basic model with the separate milk canister and you manually control the quantity of coffee and milk and the best part is you will save… Read more

Very Satisfied – We have owned one of these machines for more than 4 years and have never had any issues with it. We clean it when we need to and other than that it's always made great tasting coffee. The milk is not as hot as buying one from a cafe, however we were told this is a safety issue, so for those who enjoy really hot milk, I would suggest a quick zap… Read more

in the microwave. Not something we do but everyone likes their coffee differently.

For a one button press latte/cappuccino it really is perfect. It's a shame they are being discontinued because we have really loved our one. Let's hope it keeps going for another few years to come. Reliable, cheaper than buying coffee out every morning An investment appliance for those who drink coffee regularly.

I don't understand other peoples reviews – I purchased this machine as I wanted an auto to go with my Essenza. It's funny that people are complaining about not being able to fit cups under the machine... Hello a Latte is served in a tall, slender glass, not a mug! and cappucinno is served in a short cup. I think that issue is the fault of the end user not understanding how their drink… Read more

should be served.

The temperature is also another interesting point, my coffee comes out perfectly hot. I think this could be a fault on some machines, but with Nespressos customer service, it shouldn't be an issue.

I like the overall design of the unit, compact and attractive and being able just to store the milk in the fridge and bring out as needed...that's very handy! can't do that with the Aerocino. Compact, Attractive, good quality and good coffee. location of water tank.

Rubbish – We decided to buy a pod coffee machine because they seem economical, convenience of the pods and the low maintenance of the machines. We have friends with cheaper Nespresso models and the coffee they make, seemed reasonable. So we wanted to spend a bit more money to get a better result. We went with the Delonghi EN680M Nespresso Lattissima Coffee… Read more

Machine.

What a piece of junk. From the start the milk was not hot enough. The taste of the coffee was terrible. We tried different strengths, different amounts of milk, heating it in the microwave after the coffee was made. Furthermore, you need to have a pretty narrow cup to fit in the cup recess. We even had our friends come over to taste the coffee so they could tell us what we were doing wrong. They all told us there was something wrong with the machine. The coffee tasted nothing like to coffee they made on their machines.

After about 2 months of very little use, we did some research and found plenty of reviews of the machine - all negative. Then we found out that Delonghi have actually discontinued the model!!! So, we decided to take the machine back to David Jones and ask for a full refund - we did not want an exchange. After all we were not satisfied with the product they had sold. The Nespresso guy was at DJ's when we took it back and he agreed it was getting a lot of complaints and this is prob why Delonghi has discontinued it. We got a full refund!!!!! Thank goodness!

We have since bought the Breville Dual Boiler and they all lived happily ever after! Love this machine!

Piece of junk – Can't fit a single one of my coffee cups under it and will have to go buy new ones. Or pour from one cup into my favourite cup. I hate drinking out of glass which nespresso sells to suit machine with a tiny finger hole. Water reservoir sloshes when sliding back in. Produces luke warm coffee and have to put in microwave. Horrible buy a citiz instead – Owned a citiz which is great bought this one as a upgrade made 2 coffees and sold it strait away. The milk canister has to be manually inserted every time and pull the machine apart and when used must be cleaned and flushed again. Best coffee machine – I purchased my Lattissima probably about 4 years ago and don't regret it for a minute. It was the best purchase. I used it at least once a day. I did buy a seperate milk frother only because being on my own I thought it would be easier than using the built in one all the time. I love the variety of capsules and coffee flavours you can get. Delicious coffee at home, affordable alternative to a cafe – We bought our machine a year ago. Previously my husband drank instant coffee and I didn't drink it at all. We decided on the this particular model as I didn't want the separate milk frother & preferred that we could make two coffees, one after the other without having to clean the aerochino. We're really happy with it, I love the latte function.… Read more

The only negatives I have, is that they advertise that you can keep the milk jug in the fridge but I find that the milk spoils unless you use it within 6-8 hours. We've noticed that the water drips a little after we've finished, but this may be fixed by running a descale thing through it. I work in the CBD and have access to a nespresso boutique which is convenient, as I think having to pay postage is ridiculous unless you order 200 capsules. Harvey Norman were brilliant and we purchased an extended warranty through them. They also included a set of complimentary delonghi glasses which are gorgeous. Ease of use, easy to clean, quiet, ability to recycle empty capsules in store expensive, being only able to buy nespresso capsules in store or online.

Fantastic coffee machines – Bought two coffee machines at Christmas from the Canberra Centre Nespresso store, whose service was excellent, the best customer service I've had for a while. We had an expensive coffee machine prior to this and I wasn't keen on replacing it but I am so glad I did because there is no messy clean up and it takes no time at all to make coffee for visitors and every cup is perfect we love it. Watery coffee so bad I kept the old Nesspresso machine it was meant to replace! – I bought this machine on frequent flyer points to replace a manual machine with a separate milk frother similar to Nespresso Essenza. Worst coffee machine I ever bought – 2 years ago I purchased my first delonghi lattisima nespresso coffee machine. In the first year it went countless times to the repair centre with various faults. replacement machine. I'm guessing I only got a new one as I threatened to go to consumer affairs.

The second machine has not been much better than the first.

It still makes a lukewarm coffee. Machine is temperamental. Every morning I wonder if I'll be able to make a coffee.

Considering I paid around $900 for it I would say it is a bad buy and certainly not worth the money.

My mum bought a cheap aldi expressi machine which cost her $80 and has no problems with it.

Buyer beware I say The look and ease of use when purchasing Cold coffee. Spend more time at the repair centre than in my kitchen. Nespresso replaced it with another lemon

Best Appliance I ever bought!! – Love, love, love my machine! Best money I have ever spent on a kitchen appliance! So easy to use, and easy to clean. Bought the machine 2 years ago, but still going strong. Very happy – I have had this machine for 2 years now, and am very happy. I love the pod concept as there is very little cleaning, if any, and the range of coffee flavours from Nespresso is very good. Yes, you can only buy the pods from Nespresso online or over the phone, and it's not the cheapest coffee around. But I'm happy to get pods delivered to my door… Read more

at the click of a button, and good coffee isn't that cheap anywhere.

The only downsides are that the coffee could be a bit hotter, and the milk froth isn't fantastic. But pre-heating the cups fixes that problem, and I mainly drink flat white, so the froth isn't a big issue.

Nespresso pods also have a great crema, and I have never had a problem with their customer service.

Overall, a great machine & very good coffee. Not much cleaning, great crema, good customer service. Not quite hot enough, not great milk froth.

What a disappointment – I was so excited to buy this, had tried a friend's Citiz, so knew I liked the capsule concept and range of flavours available. We wanted a complete automatic (milk coffees at the touch of a button) and this seemed reasonably priced at the $1000 mark. We made 3 coffees that were all lukewarm (first sip warm, then only tepid after that). Thought… Read more

I might have skipped something in the coffee making process as the instructions are overly simplistic, so I rang Nespresso service line to be told by the technician that this was a really common complaint with the Lattissima, and that the only real solution was to preheat the cups (we were doing that), and then if that was not acceptable, then to microwave the coffees after making them if we wanted them hot. Apparently the heat is set for a European coffee where they like to drink their coffee in one or two gulps, rather than sit and linger over a cup like we do in Australia. (I was told this same story by three different Nespresso reps. I have been to Europe many times and don't seem to recall being served tepid coffee...) Nespresso said that they would not refund my money as it was a De Longhi machine. De Longhi said they would not refund my money as I purchased from Bing Lee. Bing Lee happily gave me my $999 back after checking with Nespresso that this was a registered issue. PS went online to a US review site and found the same complaint over and over. Wish I had researched that before purchase. Looks nice. No need to clean like our old cappuccino maker. Makes good espresso. Milk coffees are undrinkable due to low temperatures. A real disappointment.

Great coffee, great machine – We bought one when we moved to Europe last year. Loved it. Many of the shops in town actually have one and charge 2E a cup. Lovely Coffee! – I have had this machine about a month now, replacing a Krupps $2000 machine that I gave to my son, mainly because I wanted a smaller appliance to sit on my bench top, and this unit is very compact and attractive, as is the matching stand I have to contain the capsules. I find the complaints about the temperature odd, as my coffee is steaming hot… Read more

and I am only able to sip it initially. Maybe I have a more recent machine.

The milk steamer is very easily cleaned if done so immediately after using it, and then replace back into the fridge. I wash it out every second day.

Don't forget to replace it in the fridge or it will quickly go off. Also make sure the spout is adjusted correctly when making the coffee or it could end up over your bench. I have done both several times and have learnt my lesson.

I would also recommend this machine to anyone who loves a variety of coffee flavours, for themselves or their visitors - you don't have to wait for a whole bag of coffee to empty before switching to another one - there are so many flavours and strengths to choose from - I am still working my way throught the introduction pack. Easy clean, many flavours and strengths to choose from, little noise and quick to make a cup, easy to set cup volume preferences

Had to spit it out – The coffee is hideous and non drinkable. So bitter you have to spit it out or half fill the cup with sugar to hide the taste. atrocious. Everytime you call you have to wait for them to call you back - eventually if at all. After battling with them for almost a year, they now want me to purchase a descaling kit as the machine is over 6 months old even tho the coffee tasted like crap from day 1.

Buyer beware. It looks pretty on my benchtop. Thats about it. Incredibly bad tasting coffee. McDonalds tastes better. Bad warranty service. Bad customer service

Great coffee! Poor milk function :( – I love my nespresso machine. I use it every morning! However, I find if I use the milk function it's such a pain to clean. I mean, it's definitely possible to clean, just really… Read more

annoying.

I was concerned at first, as the coffee capsules and accessories (which I didn't purchase) seemed quite expensive, but the simple process of actually making coffee and the consistent A+ quality that you get with Nespresso tempts me to purchase a smaller model to put on my desk at work. You'll need to buy the capsules over the interweb or from one of the FEW vendors (I think it's just Myer, in Brisbane at least), but they do have an iphone app now which makes it wicked easy, and in retrospect I probably only spend $40 every 7-8 weeks which I'm very happy with.

I've kind of stopped using the milk function due to my own tastes but also the the tedious cleaning process. You can set the machine to you preferred milk volume as well as the amount of froth you like. And you can detach the milk container and keep it in the fridge, so it's pretty good overall.

There's no way I'd go back to another brand, I'm smitten, but I know some people enjoy the process of grinding beans, tamping the coffee, getting the milk nice and smooth etc. Go and test it first I say. ease of use, taste, consistent quality milk container, expensive accessories

Don't buy unless you want a cold coffee – Overall the concept of the machine is great, yes easy to use and clean. Before buying consider if you enjoy your coffee cold, as to get to a suitable warmth I have to place it in the microwave. Terrible – I got rid of the basic model and bought the EN680 model, I am very disappointed with the coffee machine as not as user friendly as I thought and the coffee is too warm. do with pressing the button quickly, or closing the water tank too fast. It can overflow you know.

The experience gets better.

Nespresso's couriers don't work outside of business hours, so for you to get the machine fixed, you'll be expected to lug the machine on your shoulder to work, and have it sit at your unsecured desk for the next couple of days, while you wait by your mobile for a call that the couriers arrived.

That would be fine if Nespresso bothered to book the courier in in the first place.

So be prepared to wait atleast a whole week before someone bothers arriving for your machine.

I don't know how the rest of their service is, or the quality of the machine repair because 1 week, 6 phone calls and 4 courier rebookings later, I'm still waiting for the pick up. When it works, it makes a great cup of coffee very conveniently Machine quality is poor as is Nespresso's customer service.
