The front panel should not open, maybe you did not close the front securely enough.

Coffee tends to build up in the front door panel which in extreme instances can make the door open while marking a coffee. To fix this you need to disassemble the front door and clean it out so it can latch properly. I've included a link to a video on how to service the whole machine. I found it really helpful and if you can use a screwdriver you should be able to do it.

Hi, If the machine isn't able to suck milk or is having trouble you probably need a new Coupling Carafe. If you're handy it is fairly simple to replace and shouldn't cost much more than $25 from eBay or other parts suppliers.

I've included a link below to a quick video showing how to replace it:

Please can you explain me why my DeLonghi PERFECTA coffee machine starting to show the message GROUND TO FINE ADJUST MILL! -INSERT WATER SPOUD AND PRESS OK. I did followed those instructions several times but still the machine stop in the middle of a coffee making and again showing me the same message wasting a load of just grounded fresh coffee. Please do you have any advice on how to solve this malfunctioning problem?, it would appreciate.Thanks,Steve. My Email: tatoprimo@gmail.com

Hi Steve, This hasn't happened on my machine. As a guess - there may be an issue with the grinding mill and possibly with the hardness of your beans. What that has to do with the water spout having to be used I don't know.

When the machine is grinding the beans (not when stopped) try alter the grind setting to a coarser setting, and see if that helps. Make sure that your residue container is cleaned out - that way if this action doesn't work, you can always take the ground coffee.and put it into the machine in manual mode.

Regards.

My Delongi Perfecta shows a slightly different message when the grind is set too fine so we might have different models. Theres a little nob in the compartment where you put the beans that changes how fine it will grind them. I usually set mine on 2 - 3 but sometimes depending on the freshness of the beans it might need to be bigger. Anything lower then 2-3 and i will get the 'ground too fine' error message.

Can you tell me where and what a grommet is and where i can get one from , delinghi customer service have never heard of one and in one of the reviews they say they got a grommet from customer service which will make the milk hotter I could really use one to make my coffee perfect?

A grommet is a bit like a washer; Wikipedia has an excellent illustrated explanation. I don't see how the addition of such an item could increase the temperature of the milk - the laws of thermdynamics are imutable. I've had my ESAM5600 for about eight months and have resigned myself to putting the finished coffee in the microwave for 30 seconds to bring it up to temperature.

I would think that you are referring to the reducer that you put in the ends of the straw in the milk jug I've got one in both ends of my straw it is Supposed to slow down the milk flow so it heats up better. I still need to put coffee in microwave after to heat it up more. I got my reducers from delonghi when I complained about the coffee being too cold. But as mentioned it hasn't really made it much hotter so I nuke it afterwards.
