Hi my water tank won't read properly, I fill the tank click it in and the machine just says fill tank. Is it a loose connection? Is there anything I can do?
Have picked up a 6700 machine, turns on and goes past self diagnostics screen and says insert grounds container, the micro switch clicks and the unit gives a chime but the screen never changes, it also makes the chime noise while touching the buttons but the screen stays on grounds container, any ideas ??
Im going to guess micro switch and ui board replacement
Sometimes the grounds container and/or shelf,do not slide in place properly. It all needs to click into place, before the computer can register that all is OK. Like any computer, it can help to turn off and reboot and also,do not keep pushing buttons or tap things, give it time to register the action you want it to perform. I hope you have success!
Why won’t my esam6700 produce hot milk
Hi are these still able to be repaired.. Thinking of buying a second hand one with a screen problem.. Seems to be missing pixels.
Hi Sue, it's best to contact the repairer you would like to use and see how much it will cost and if that particular problem is able to be fixed :)
The touch screen lights up very Well, however when touching The screen it will not select and Perform the function requested. Anyone have a suggestion as to How to repair?? Thanks
Hi Lloydc, Make sure your screen is fully cleaned as any little splashes of milk/coffee can make the screen sticky so the screen will stop working or not do the command you asked it to. Is there any warning lights that have come up on your machine? Let us know how you go and if it still does not perform please contact us again and we will be able to help you further :)
Thank you. Screen ceding did not Work.
Hi Lloydc, if you could please DIRECT message us with your best contact details are alternatively ring us directly on 1800 126 659 and we will be able to help you further :)
Hi! I have recently purchased DeLonghi ESAM6700. As I see the 6750 uses a water filter. I want to buy another water tank for mine, the one from 6750, and to use water filter so I can prolong the life of the machine. But my 6700 doesn't have the "Install water filter" option in the menu. So, my querstion is: can I still use a water filter with my machine?
Hi MrsB, You will need to follow the instructions in your manual, as new machines are launched technology improves. With regard to the water hardness filters, have you checked what your water hardness is?
I keep getting error message “Grounds too fine. ADJUST MILL! Insert water spout and press ok”
Have done this a number of times and it keeps coming back to the same message.
AND I do not get a cup of coffee.
SEND HELP!
Keith
Hi Keith, what is your grind setting on? and have you been able to make a coffee from this machine before?
I was able to make GREAT coffee until I got this message. Sounds like the water is not pumping through.
When you press ok to rinse the water through the water spout, does anything come out? There could be a water blockage within the machine. You can either DIRECT message us with you best contact details and we will pass it onto our customer service team or alternately ring us direct on 1800 126 659 and we can organise someone to look at your machine.
Thank you. I have just taken it in for repair. They said it is likely a value needing to be replaced.
General alarm appeared on the screen...and we gave it a good clean...but now the milk container will not engage/recognise that milk container has been inserted...pressing the cleaning button and jiggling the container does nothing (previously this would fix the problem)...general alarm no longer comes up....can make a black coffee, but milk function will not work.any ideas on how to fix?
Hi Kmbray, your machine may need a service. If you DIRECT message us with your full name, email and phone number we can pass on your details to our customer service team or alternately ring us direct on 1800 126 659 :)
can you tell me why these machines get a poor rap

I have an ESAM 6700. The LCD Screen needs to be replaced and also after descaling, the Milk jug will no longer work. If you press cappuccino or latte, it just sits there for a few moments and then returns to the main menu screen. Just happened after many years. Any ideas on how to get this fixed or recommend a service centre in Adelaide?
Hi Anthony, If your LCD screen needs to be replaced it may not be talking to your milk jug as well. You will need to put your machine in for a service regarding the LCD screen and at the same time have them check the steam for the milk jug. You can direct message us with your details and I can have someone from Customer Service contact you to organise a service. Kind Regards, Delonghi Team
Been working great but once the beans are ground, I’m finding that the ground coffee is pushing up into the pre-ground shoot. If you push the coffee back down I get an error saying to fill the bean container. Any ideas?
Hi Pete, if you could direct message us your full name, address and phone number and we will get someone in touch with you to organise someone to look at your machine, alternatively you could ring us on 1800 126 659 :)
my ESAM 6750 unit is about 4 years old i have just bought it second hand the unit will not dispense water out of the spout !! so i cant descale it ? still makes a coffee but i need to descale as it is telling me too please can you help would it be the frother coupling ? regards mike brisbane australia
It could be the solenoid Valve that allows the steam to flow. I have 2 machines I look after at work and one at home and I have had a couple of these solenoid valves go, they sit behind the control panel on the right hand side. PS i assume since you’re getting no flow you’re not frothing milk and If you’re not making frothy milk I wouldn’t bother descaling too often. The descaler only runs through the steam generator, not the hot water generator that makes your coffee. Also check the water hardness and adjust your machine settings to suit as it counts the number of coffees before a descale based on your hardness setting
Brand new machine, followed instrucions manual but when press “Hot water” and OK to get water running through for first time, makes load noise and shows message “Empty circuit, Fill circuit”. How do I fix this?
Hi Ronell
You need to fill up the tank again and turn on the machine. Now the machine is primed and ready for use. The loud noise is normal.
For more advice you can call our customer service center on: 1800 126 659
Kind regards
Cameron
I turn it on and then after about ten sec it will switch off, screen goes from a full blue screen to a black screen
My Esam 6700 would not turn on. Made 3300 coffees to date. 6 years old
Hi Peter, That does not sound good, have you checked that the cord is in the power socket correctly and the machine itself is turned on?? if not you may require a service, so direct message us with your best contact details and we will organise agent to contact you.
My machine would not turn on. What is the problem?
My frothier isn’t dispensing normally. I’ve Replaced the ump and valve and the seals on the outlet bracket the carafe head fits to Spits makes a lot of noise. Small amount Of froth if any. Any help?
Our PrimaDonna Elite is bringing up an error message "Select a milder taste or reduce pre-ground quantity" And will not dispense any coffee. What can be done to fix this?
