Rip Off Merchants – Have been waiting more than 6 months for my lounge. Have been lied to twice about delivery. They have all my money. Won't return phone calls or reply to emails.
Desired living- 28 weeks - no sofa – More than 28 weeks. Paid in full including delivery. Promised delivery date 31/10/2024 to 3/11/2024 and we sat and waited for 4 days. Nothing. Tried to contact. Sent them calls, messages and emails. No response. The website looks very professional but they are not!!
DL furniture - finally sofa arrived 29 weeks later – My sofa has arrived. Hi yes my sofa ended up taking 29 weeks. I have to be honest here! The sofa is lovely and I am very happy with it! a review for the quality of the lounge. You actually did deserve 1 star for the stress. Delivery man Antonio was very professional. A big 5 star to him. Anyway thank you for my sofa finally. I honestly thought I would not receive it! The nightmare is over.

there was no phone call to let us know how things were progressing. Our couches finally arrived but were not the colour we ordered. We immediately informed Harris via email, sms and phone calls regarding the possibility of returning the couches. That was 5 weeks ago! Apart from a phone call from Harris, stating that the situation was going to be solved on the day (3 weeks after the complaint was made) that he texted, and an email from Ambreen in the Warranty department promising to be in touch in a 'few days'. We are no closer to a resolution. I have lodged a report with the ACCC and am currently going through the consumer, business services here in Adelaide...hoping that a solution will be reached soon before pursuing small claims. This review is more for those who are ordering online to be wary...Desired Living really doesn't rate but I had to do 1 star in order to post a review.
**Just a follow up, from this review. We've been informed by Desired Living that because we chose not to go ahead with a sample of what their 'burgundy' swatch looked like, we are not entitled to a return/exchange or a refund. For those planning on purchasing a burgundy coloured chesterfield, the burgundy quoted by Desired Living i.e. colour 0326 IS NOT burgundy it is more cherry coloured red/pink** ***Further update...we finally unpacked the whole package and found one of the chair legs had a big chip in it - looked like someone had grooved a hole in it while unscrewing it - the other legs had indentations in it...so didn't really look brand new. Furthermore we cross checked swatches and number 0326 is DEEP RED and not BURGUNDY. See proof below.

COUCH PERFECTION!!!! – I looked online for at least 3 months, comparing quality, design and options. Decision made thankfully We received our couch and could not be happier. Comfortable and beautifully designed. Ordering online was easy, a follow up call from the vendor was made to me to ensure what I had chosen met my needs. Brilliant service. Couch delivered, assembled easily. Thank you so much!!!
Expectations surpassed – I was aware I was taking a risk with ordering a lounge suite online and was somewhat apprehensive during the long wait for it to arrive. I'm delighted to say, however, that it met my expectations in every way. The white leather floaty suite is superbly crafted and looks stunning. Many thanks to all involved for producing furniture at such an affordable price.
I recommend for leather lounges – Unable to visit the store and cautious to buy online however after researching and talking extensively to the staff who were knowledgeable and helpful I made an order. A long wait and with my luck a little delayed but I got it yesterday. The relief and happiness I felt when I saw it, words cannot express. I recommend for leather sofas.

Company does not seem to support the warranty – This is the first negative review I've ever made. I bought a couch from desiredliving in 2022. It's a nice couch, I really like it. 18 months later the frame underneath one of the legs has broken. I contacted desiredliving in March 2024 to have it fixed (as it's covered under warranty). Initially they were quick to respond when I first contacted them, but now they are quiet and will not respond to me or tell me when a technician will attend.
This is disappointing.
**Edit** 15/01/2025 They eventually got around to sending people over to fix the couch in November. It took awhile for it to get sorted but they eventually followed through and had it fixed. From what I understand they had issues with one of their contractors and so they had to find a different contractor.

Very disappointing – Ordered couch in December. 6 months to arrive. Arrived without Australian electrical connections for the recliners. Contacted Desired living. They said they posted 2 x power pack cords to me on the 12th of July. Nothing has arrived. I'm very disappointed. Left multiple voicemails and emails for this company with no response.

No communication warranty still not completed one year later – When we received our lounge the footrest stools were missing and the coffee table glass was broken. I have spent the last year chasing this up. I was emailed- The Items have finally be loaded on board a container arriving into Melb in the 1st week of July We will post it out to you once it gets here. And then Nothing /silence and now I'm being ignored and not getting any response back! Do not use this company

Scam business – Bought a sofa in 2020. After months and months of delay, a broken set was provided. After > 2 years of contacting, I am still told my replacement is still in transit !!! 21 weeks wait on a 12 week delivery – We ordered our couch and were advised it would take 12 weeks. We recieved the couch 21 weeks later with poor communication, minimal response to calls, no email replies. The couch was good which is the only reason I didnt give one star. Worst company, dodgy and unreliable – We ordered some couches back in sept 2022 and was told we would receive them before Christmas sometime in Dec. it’s now Mid Feb 2023 and we still haven’t got these couches. chasing them up to see if we can get a refund as we no longer want the goods as we don’t trust the company and that there are even couches coming. They don’t get back to us despite leaving messages and assuring that they will call. I have now had to reach out to ACCC and will also initiate a case with VCAT. Honestly save yourself the hassle, but from a reliable company, it’s not worth saving a few hundred dollars.
The worst company that I have ever dealt with – Absolute nightmare to deal with. Placed an order and have been waiting for nearly 4 months to receive the products. No one responds to the email. leather & no where near the quality of my other chesterfield lounge I bought from HARVEY NORMN 2 years ago in my formal lounge. Yes, it was twice the price however the customer service & quality of leather & workmanship was definitely worth it. Plus HN also keep in regular touch with updates & stick to their word all the way through. They did not make fake promises. They had a great delivery service. I will never order a lounge online again. All in all, I just wish I spent the bit extra & got a far more superior product, better service & better warranty. The whole experience was way too stressful. We live & learn.
Great product! – Great customer services! We ordered lounge and coffee table through the online store. I rang them to make a few changes. The purchase was delivered as we ordered and we were amazed by the leather quality and the seats are very comfortable. Highly recommend!
Seriously poor service – Worst customer service we have ever experienced here in Australia! We ordered our coffee table in August 2021 and to date no delivery. Each time we ring we get a different person on the phone making false promises on a delivery date. It is now Sunday and we are ringing again. The Sydney store has lost our faith in ordering online again. Let’s hope when the product arrives it is exactly what we want!
Love the leather smell – Long time afficinado of fabric lounges this is my first leather couch and I love it. There was no assembly, just had to unwrap it and done.
First purchase and happy – Purchased over the phone through Jim? He was helpful and guided me how to custom the sofa. The wait for the sofa was longer than expected. Beautiful sofa. I was annoyed at no update until delivery ready.
Miserable experience – I had a miserable experience. I did not mind the 16 weeks wait but I did mind the excuses and arguments they provided me with. In all I would sum them up as cheap and nasty.

Sofa and coffee table – It was easy to navigate the store, the range of products was acceptable, I don't know about the quality bcause it was only delivered yesterday and is still unpacked - I don't know about the assembly yet but I am annoyed that there was a piece of the coffee table missing
Totally cheated – I ordered their Orion u lounge and absolutely not happy with the product quality. I complained to them but was told that they were minor defects. I paid 3500 to buy a new lounge with ‘minor defects’ and waited 3 months for it. It’s been weeks since my complaint but they have not done anything about it yet.
Have not received full purchase – I purchased a lounge suit with coffee table had it custom made in August and put deposit down. I received purchase 3 mths later minus coffee table but had too send the rest of money on day of delivery. Long wait but worth it – Our flake leather lounge set arrived yesterday and everyone that has seen it has commented on how good it looks. The wait time was around 13 weeks for us which is a bit longer than the 8-12 weeks advertised. However we accept this in this covid environment does impact everyone. Well worth waiting especially for the price compared to a similar couch elsewhere which was double the price !
Perfect customisation down to the finer details! – Firstly thank you for a wonderful couch delivered. We are impressed by the level of customisation that is possible via your website . I would recommend you somehow replicate it for your mobile users but perhaps that might be a bit more difficult for a smaller screen profile. Either way very happy with the quality and service and we would happy to be return customer if we ever need another sofa .
Good service excellent help – I have dealt with ambreen who has been extremely helpful both in helping us pick our pieces and after sale service. We are very happy with our couch and have a tv cabinet and a single armchair on order. While we love the furniture, the customer service is really what impresses us!
Impressive after hours service – I do wonder if these guys sleep or if they hire someone in a different Timezone to answer our chat requests . Picture perfect - thanks – We ordered a bright green 3 seater chaise and we are thrilled by how it blends into our themed living room . We looked long and hard to find the right colour. Many places didn’t have what we wanted . We are glad to have found Desired Living - please extend my thanks to Jo who really helped with the colours and sending the colour samples a few times with patience !
Good price and happy with my purchase – I am loving my olive green chesterfield which we ordered from Desired Living in April this year. The quality is definitely better than I had anticipated given the price I paid for it. Would highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to pay the price tag for an overpriced furniture piece.
Good product – They provide fully customizable furniture online so that was great. Had some really nice designs and the sofa that arrived seems good quality. Prices of the sofas are good but the shipping is pretty pricey.
Terrible furniture and service – We ordered a sofa and asked to increase height by changing leg size. DL added 50 $ for " safety check" with increased height. Dl requested to send more photos( done) - silence for more than two months now. To sum up : we received our sofa in September 2019, in June 2020 we sat on a peeling sofa with supported bricks instead of legs. DL is a disaster!!!!

Overall good experience with some areas for improvements – Firstly we had a broadly pleasant experience shopping with Desired Living . The sofa came on time and the quality was as expected . Just a feedback , the whole customer would have been more perfect if you kept us informed throughout the purchase and delivery timeframe .
