You probably should avoid. Signed up for a good deal for first 12 months. Never missed a payment for nearly a decade. Never offered any deal since then. Bit lazy not too change provider earlier but decided to now as monthly charges kept creeping up. The real problem was trying to cancel account. Completed online form. Received a message asking me… Read more
to call. Tried twice. On hold for over one hour combined. In the end just sent them a letter to cancel. If you sign up for a deal make sure you change as soon as possible, otherwise they claw it back with higher charges. Don't be lazy like me. Don't follow there cancellation process. Write a letter, sign it, and send it in an email.
Here's the deal -- the Australian NBN market is an odd thing indeed. All 'providers' are actually utilising the exact same infrastructure. So reviews based on 'what speed i got' from provider A vs B is pretty meaningless. What does set companies apart from one another is thus (1) customer service, and (2) customer experience (e.g., website, apps).… Read more
Unfortunately on this count Dodo is, well, a dinosaur (much like their eponymous mascot).
They will trumpet the 'no commitment/cancel anytime' plans. But what's hidden in the fine print is that, unlike other NBN providers, you won't be refunded any unused portion. In our case, I cancelled on the same day my direct debit process and they still refused to give me anything back.
Add this to a ridiculously slow response rate to calls/chats, and horribly spammy marketing.
I've now used 4 or 5 different NBN providers. While it's not the WORST, I would rank Dodo well down on the list from other options. Happy to not be their customer anymore (or ever again).
Received modem within 2 days spoke on chat and was activated and online in 30 mins. Noticed dropouts requested NBN technician to attend was organised fast faults found in ports and at the node. Previous was with Aussie broadband did nothing to fix fftn connection Show details

I've been a Dodo customer since 2017, and honestly say that they have been nothing but reliable, seamless, convenient and affordable since. With my line of work and having to WFH Full-Time, having good, reliable and fast internet is very important and Dodo has always been good to deal with. say that there has never been any real issues.
Also, with the past 18+ months of cost of living pressures, and with so many other competition offering great deals, Dodo has always been competitive and always valuable to others. So even when I do look around for savings, Dodo still have been my best option.
Would highly recommend Dodo if suitable in your area. Big ups Dodo

I signed up with Dodo because they offered great rates with no lock in contract and I got $20 off per month for 12 months when signing up. I have been very happy with the sign up process and connection process. I did not have the NBN set up so this was a new connection and I have also had to buy a new router and Dodo helped both times with this… Read more
set up. I was not on hold for long and the tech staff very helpful. I have had our service for about 4 to 5 months now and drop outs, I WFH 2 days a week and no issues with video calls. Speed test attached done at 4:30pm on a Sunday
Service was really quick and easy to get connected and set up. Great value for money, cheap and never had any issues with connection or speed Show details
Have been with Dodo since November. Signed up on a 12-month special. Currently paying $68 per month which will rise to just over $80 after the 12-month grace period. I have FTTP connection with the 100/20 plan. Speeds constantly around the 85mbps and often nearer to 100mbps or over. To date I cannot fault their speeds and have not had to contact… Read more

Signed up in September for the 100/20 plan which was advertised to switch to 500/50 speed on 1st October. 8 days into October and the plan has not switched to the advertised speed tier. I've contacted support twice now and have been told this is… Read more

False advertising to get me to sign up. What a scam.
Follow-up · Plan was switched over to 500/50 at the end of October. When switched, cg-nat was re-enabled and I had to call to get it put back on. Could not get more than 250/20 in speed tests. Switched to superloop and it's a night and day difference. The internet just works compared to dodo.

Definitely better than the two other ISP’s we’ve had! :) Sadly I can’t even load a YT video when my partner is watching Netflix or playing an online game.. also quite often the wifi won’t work, even while I’m sitting beside it. I have no idea how $90+ a month is not enough to do that but like I said, Dodo is better than others. Australia thingggz I guess~ Show details · 1
Swapped over from another provider and the transition was reasonably smooth, once a small hiccup was ironed out. Instructions provided over the phone during the connection process led to a reasonably easy setup. Show details

Happy so far. Requested a change from Telstra today at 4:20 pm. I was surprised a few minutes later when the Internet went down, so I switched to 4G and got ready to reboot the modem. As it turned out I didn’t even need to reboot, as I noticed YouTube working again on the TV. At 4:41pm I received an email from dodo, stating that the service had… Read more
commenced. At 4:51 pm I received an email from Telstra, stating that their service had been disconnected. I completed a Speedtest, as you do, and found that our Internet speed was immediately 2.5x faster than before – up from 40 to 108. So far so good. Hopefully they keep it up.

Tha absolute by a long way the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced as a 64 yr old , there a so many things so I will keep it as short as I can , after call pick up no greeting for 30 seconds , continually ignored all previous discussion , dismissive , never acknowledge verbally anything that was being explained just silence , I… Read more
continually asked if he’d heard what I said , now comes the kicker after moving on from internet to mobile phone issue he suggested turning on airplane mode which was he’s way of ending call without an outcome no call back .
Its a cheaper company but the connection is terrible, frequent bufferingwhile streaming shows and live sports and drop outs even on a high rate plan. Bought the Dodo modem which was a mistake as its very poor on reliability and I was told it needed to be rebooted weekly to clear it. I've had to call them almost monthly with issues since joining 6… Read more
mos ago and will be exiting asap. Long wait times on the phone for assistance, troubleshooting that takes an hour just to get it working again. Speeds drop exponentially if you have more than one device connected which includes TVs, phones, laptops, electronic whitegoods using wifi and the operator then complains that there are 'too many' devices connected (even if they are not turned on). Had to even removed the chromecast because it was 'using' wifi when the tv was not on. Don't waste your time.
Is not premium. Internet buffers often. We're trialling another modem before i go elsewhere. Support was good, but i sopent 2 hours and 20 minutes on the phone. It’s insanity. Show details

Months of Daily Outages, No Support, and No Way to Respond – Extremely Frustrating Experience I have been experiencing daily internet outages for months with Dodo, and the situation has now become completely unacceptable. NBN Co has already confirmed in writing that our connection is underperforming and that we are eligible for an upgrade to NBN Full Fibre (FTTP). I have sent this to Dodo multiple times, but nothing has been actioned.
To make things worse, Dodo repeatedly sends me updates from no-reply email addresses, instructing me to “respond if the issue persists,” yet I literally cannot reply to the emails. I also received an email saying a specialist would contact me within 4 business hours—that was over 19 hours ago, and no one has contacted me.
My service is currently offline again, and I cannot work. I have spent so much time trying to get this resolved, and it feels like I am going around in circles. No accountability, no follow-through, and no resolution.
I am now formally requesting compensation for the ongoing disruption to my professional and personal life, and I will be escalating this to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman if this is not finally resolved.
This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I’m posting this review in the hope that someone from Dodo’s team finally takes ownership and fixes the problem.
I'm a new NBN customer, attracted by their competitive sale offers. Disappointingly the service was connected before the modem even arrived, which resulted in me not being able to use NBN from my existing provider or Dodo. Do not bother with this incompetent mob. Quick to sign you up for an order, but then deny you access to cancel your order. Spent most of my day in trying to speak to somebody and either no answer, of hard to understand. Wasted a day of my life I will not get back!
Customer service is so bad that they don't even speak basic English. I was charged even after the account was terminated, and it is impossible to get the refund back. Show details
