As me and my wife work from home I've had to hotspot my phone to work completely over our monthly data limit. Expecting a whopper bill from Telstra.
I understand things happen but this has been an absolute joke.

the phone with their Dodo technical staff between 1-2 hours without success. I didn't want to be held on the phone for that long. And even after that the internet issues continued and i had to ring Dodo tech support again. Well than another Dodo tech support finally said the router is faulty and we'll send you out another one. During those 2 weeks i could not receive calls which i didn't realise. Anyway new router arrived and the internet troubles seemed to have improved for a short while...
After that I was advised by Dodo that fixed wireless NBN was available at my location and that i needed to get a suitable NBN and faster router. So i purchased the Dodo Go Hub from them. They didn't provide any receipt while the bank transaction was shown as some kind of "Dodo Restaurant" transaction - that was weird and unacceptable ! I sent an online complaint to Dodo and expressed my concern with proof of this transaction but even with that they never sent me a receipt for this purchase.
Although I was told long while ago by Dodo that there was NBN at my address/location, yesterday they advised myself that their NBN tower is in Bendigo. I explained that I don't live in that district and that is 90 km away from my home - that is huge distance to transmit an NBN signal. ( I've read information that NBN towers transmit well within a 14 km range. Interestingly there is other NBN tower very near my home some 100 metres from my back yard which is not Dodo).
At one stage, a while ago the Dodo technical support person has been pressuring me to give them my mobile number so they could call me back during the internet/telephone fault. I gave the Dodo tech support person instructions not to put my mobile number in their data computer system and i explained that it was a new mobile number that had been changed with another service provider and that I wanted to protect my unlisted or silent mobile number. The Dodo tech support person assured me that they wouldn't put my mobile number in their computer system. Well some days later, the home phone was working but I had received contact on my mobile, it's was Dodo. I was appalled that Dodo did not respect my wishes, they lied to me. I explained all over again that i didn't want my number kept in their data base/ computer system. I was so appalled. I've been paying Dodo for many years for the home phone, there was no need for them to contact my mobile.
Well that was some time ago but last night their Dodo tech support person was pressuring me to provide to them my mobile number. I'm not giving my mobile number to Dodo. Once again, i will repeat that I have a home phone of which I've been paying Dodo for many years. Eventually their Dodo tech support person said that they will call me back in my home phone. So he did.
Please Dodo, stop pressuring your customers for a mobile number because you could always contact me on my Dodo home phone, email etc etc. I'm fed up with all of the excuses from Dodo for the bad service. I'm not accepting any more excuses from Dodo. With residential fixed wireless NBN i've been experiencing lagging speed issues at 1:46 am, 11:30pm or 11.21pm. These are off peak times. And sometimes so bad that even the speed test would report as "latency test error".
Unfortunately Dodo technical support are not open at that time for me to call them while i had been experiencing those NBN issues. So i would call DODO during the day to report it and they would instruct me to do a speed test during the day. Of course by than the internet would improve so their response was, "well it's working fine now" - I have a problem with that, i should not be waiting until after 11:30pm or 1:46 am hoping for the internet to improve after peak times and still be experiencing such issues at such hours during off peak. So i did screenshots of the speed tests to keep them as proof ( and I sent it off to them). The internet issues were abysmal, the video picture was so blurred/pixelated and lagged badly, it was like going back 20 years ago on dial up.
I was actually on Dodo Nbn plan 24 Mbps download. The actual download speeds (off peak) were 0.78 Mbps or 1.17 Mbps these speeds were way too slow and unacceptable and this is after the Dodo technical staff said they fixed the problem. See attached screen shots. In fact the Dodo technical staff did not aid in a better nor faster download speed - they made no difference to improving the download speed. The same issues continued.
So Dodo had notified myself recently that their NBN prices were increasing. I will not be renewing my fixed wireless NBN nor home phone contract with Dodo.
Dodo, you mislead me and lied to me and stuffed me around and I was paying my Dodo bills to you promptly and fully all the while !
Recently i had sent two email complaints to Dodo customer care asking for a maximum allowable refund but they ignored to respond to my refund request. Dodo are you going to refund me or not ?

an hour long wait on the phone to the service the lady on the other end hung up without so much as a word. and i had to go through the whole process again. The person second time told me they will send a new modem. Now i am without internet connection for a week until the new modem arrives. Instead of fixing the issue she created additional problems. This is unacceptable. it has been an extremely disappointing service and staff behaviour.

NBN and me! – I have found that the speed of NBN is no faster than my ADSL. That's OK, I don't need higher speeds, but had assumed NBN would be an improvement. I had to instal NBN myself.
