Surprised with the answers given by Guardsman, we then called Domayne, and to our surprised she said there is nothing they can do as we need to deal with Guardsman ourself, this is the answer given by Domayne contact officer Shila and basically told us we are on our own. My question is why would you offer your client to buy useless protection company to which we paid the money to you and clearly Domayne will get profit out of it as well, and only when there is trouble you washes you hands off?

Jason that it’s “impossible” she would ever have given that time frame and it would take at least 2 months. However I had 3 friends who witnessed her guarantee this at least 6 times as I was very conscious of the time frame. I asked for my $500 deposit back given they said their suppliers had been on holidays and therefore the sofa had not even started to be made but they refused and were extremely rude and unapologetic over the phone. Eventually they provided a credit voucher for my deposit but I was not satisfied at all with the staff response. My experience with Jason and Nicole was terrible and I would recommend that nobody shop at this store. I have since read many other comments about staff lying about time frames and certainly would not trust any information provided by the sales staff.

I took the matter to NCAT and a judgement was made against Domayne, specifically that they had "engaged in conduct that is misleading or deceptive or likely to mislead or deceive." NCAT ordered a full refund. Domayne refused to abide by the orders, and I made an application to the NSW Local Courts to enforce them. The Local Court issued orders for payment and Domayne refused to comply with court orders. I had to make another application to the court since Domayne was not complying and the Court issued orders authorising NSW Sherriff's to enter the premises of Domayne, seize property and auction the property to pay the refund. It was only when NSW Sheriffs seized Domayne property that I was contacted to pay the refund. Appalling experience.

Expect to wait and wait – Customer service was extremely attentive and friendly. We decided to buy a bed frame and was told it would take 8- 10 weeks. However, when I rang to confirm delivery date I was told it would be delivered October the 18th. We ordered the bed 12th of June. Thats around 18 weeks! yet not attentive if you don't show you want the product today and ask questions. My salesperson was drifting in and out of the conversation more focused on who else was around and hoping to make an exit to speak with someone else that might show more buy signals. As we pondered over the lounge, she quickly just left without saying anything, just smoke bombed.
Roll forward we bought the lounge and paid for the expensive, rip off scotch guarding. The lounge has arrived (its pretty average) and given it's new and a light colour we decided to not use it much in order to keep it in pristine condition. This was to be used as a visitor lounge whilst we used the old one for every day. We had visitors over recently and noticed a number of marks and dirt spots come up. We tried to spot clean them immediately with no luck, strange as marks should come off easily. We had a carpet cleaner in the next day for downstairs and asked him to check the lounge. The opinion is it has not been done or done to a very poor standard so it's ineffective, literally water went straight through on a small test. His words " you have been conned".
Domayne has pushed me off and refused to listen to me. They have also asked for me to speak with the company that did the work and don't really want a bar in helping despite them organising this and me paying for the work through them. They have offered a clean and a can of scotch guard, ALL of this I need to arrange myself. How disgraceful that they are asking me to organise and do all their work and running around which wouldn't be required had it been done in the first place. To be fair, the couch looks ruined, a good company would take action here and put their customers first regardless, it's a small price to pay for reputation and building brand loyalty.
To close out, when a couch needs to be chemically cleaned it never comes up the same as new given the chemicals that are required to treat it. Why should my new couch look more used than it is only a few months after getting it due to their incompetence?
I am sure they are going to come back with some canned response here from their team to show they care, don't fall for the smoke and mirrors. The franchisee has been copied into all emails and hasn't done anything to help.

I have requested a refund due to this being a major failure under consumer law and been told no. I must accept the chairs and a restrained table to match them. The table will come in 5 months I was told. I was prepared to accept for the table to be fixed and the time it took but was not prepared to accept the wrong chairs at over $400 a chair. We started this episode in July. I also asked for the chair type and manufacturers name and was told he did not have to tell me the manufacturer and that the chair was an Aero in American Oak. I can’t find it on their website. This is totally unacceptable behaviour and shows no accountability for their errors and transparency in selling practices. I have been told multiple times how helpful they are being to me while they stone wall me. If it is not resolved soon I will start proceedings in Fair Trading. Although it is not my preference the proprietor encouraged me to take this action if I was not willing to accept his decision so it may be our only option. We have paid a lot of money in this store on multiple items and it is sad that they behave this way.

When it finally arrived, the legs of the couch were missing, they said they will touch base with us the following week —never heard from them, so I followed up with them and they said nothing was done about those legs since delivery - they were not sure what happened. A couple of weeks before the deadline, I rang to check a few times, and different people would pick up the phone, quoting me different (later) delivery dates. I asked to speak with my sales consultant but never got call backs. Confused and anxious, I tried to track down my sales consultant again, only to be told she has left the business. Now I am told to expect it A MONTH later than originally promised. I CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER MONTH. And apparently the sales consultant never left any records of the promised date.
Makes me think they'll tell you anything to keep a sale.
I asked for a refund, but they flat out refused. The only thing they can offer is a temporary loan couch, but I am NOT able to take the extra time off work to stay home, and wait for the loan couch.
Because guess what? I had already taken extra time off work recently, because another piece of furniture I purchased was defective and I had to sit home and wait for them to sort it out. I CANNOT take any more time off work, and I shouldn't be expected to do this because they f*cked up by making a false promise and refuse to refund me.
I am so sick and tired of dealing with them and their lies and flakiness, I don't trust them anymore and just want my refund and walk away. But they want me to pay a 20% cancellation fee, which equates to more than $600, and I get NOTHING for it. I tried to meet them in the middle and asked for the $600ish to be store credit, just like the rug I had to cancel last month, BUT OH NO THEY WANT CASH. I was told the store owner would call me this afternoon to discuss this, and I waited and waited, but when I rang up to follow up, I was told he'd left early for the day and is now unavailable for another 3 days.
To me this comes across as an extremely disorganised and greedy business who only want to preserve their own interests, with no consideration for what's fair for the customer after they already got your money. I wish I had read the other online reviews before shopping here, because bad customer service seems to be prevalent. If you are reading this - DON'T EVER BUY FROM THIS STORE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

DON'T BOTHER ! – I spent over $15,000 on furniture. There were multiple mistakes with the order and delivery and 7 months on the quality is terrible and it mainly needs replacing. No Customer Service-Beware – Purchased Villaroy and Boch Sentique toilet suite in January 2012 which has a ten year warranty. gave him a website to show the warranty details for ten years. He said it only applied in England and the matter was unresolved again. I contacted Argent who stated that I had a ten year warranty and they were happy to honor the warranty and a new toilet seat arrived within two days. Unfortunately Domayne has failed me again. They even had the hide to send me a customer satisfaction survey. Last year Domayne Taren Point let me down severely. Briefly, I purchased a Sealy king size bed from Domayne Caringbah in January 2016. Had trouble with delivery men when they damaged one single base and the king mattress during installation because they were upset they were not told about removing the old bed. After prolonged consultation with Domayne, they replaced the base and mattress. However the Sealy mattress has very poor quality and has major faults including a ridge which has formed down the middle of the mattress. Think twice before dealing with Domayne.

Manager at Domayne and they did show me a few baths that might work that they would exchange it for but none were to our liking. I asked for the bath to be removed from our order. At this point they did this but charged us a $1,000 re stocking fee which later got discounted to $700 for a product not received or even ordered in, I then had to cancel the matching basin which I was also charged a further $100 re stocking fee. This is not the first bathroom i have renovated and won't be the last but I will NEVER use Domayne bathrooms again and recommend everyone try other places first and make sure you can cancel orders without penalties. For a major retailer this is outrageous behavior.
