I think I remembered seeing septic friendly when I googled it when trying to find out the shelf life of unopened packets. I’m a bit of a stock piler lol
Hello I have not seen them get hard on shelf till they get used up.
Is duck toilet Discs are septic tank safe I like Biodegradable products and I am changing my cleaning products please can someone please explain
Hello, I am not sure but since it dissolves in water I cant see why there will be an issue.
are they bleach free
I dont know but: It says to keep out of pet and childrens reach so maybe it does. There is no list of what it contains on the packet at all.
I think your correct also isn't everything supposed to have the chemicals listed on the packaging if it has any type of bleach then it will destroy the organisms in the septic that stop the smell .
Aqua CETEARETH-10 Glycerine Parfum Alcohols, C12-14, ethoxylated, sulfates, sodium salts Poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), .alpha.-isotridecyl-.omega.-hydroxy- (EO = 10) PEG-10 Citral Geraniol Sodium Citrate Colorants SODIUM LACTATE Acid Blue 9 Sodium Sulfate
can they be used in caravan toilets
Do duck discs contain bleach?
how to position them?
Are duck discs safe for septic systems
Hi Lorraine, The manufacturer claims they are septic safe and biodegradable. We have septic tanks and have been using them for several years without any issues so far.
I have used toilet duck discs for quite a while and really like them but recently put one in the toilet in my Spanish holiday home which is not in constant use
I have noticed a strange sickly sweet smell at my Spanish home bathroom which is definitely not a sewage smell and nothing seems backed up
I have suddenly wondered if the disc can go off after a period of time when not flushed in a hot environment?
how to fit replacement discs?
Duck fresh marine states harmful to aquatic organisms and long term adverse effects on the marine environment. Does this mean by using the product i am harming the aquatic environment? Info please!
Hi I would like to know the answer to this to pls.
So if they r harmful to aquatic life then they aint safe for ATU septic tanks as they rely on aquatic bacteria for the systems to work
how do I get the disks our to stick onto the toilet.
Do I need another tool?
I am in a rented house and they have the duck discs but there is no instructions as to how to replace them. What do I do?
The instructions for Duck Fresh toilet discs are on the back of the packet (you could look in a food shop at similar product/take a photo) or there are utube videos on the net if you prefer.
Are the duck fresh toilet disks safe to use in septic system toilets??
According to external link
Yes
I 've just bought this product for the second time. It doesn't smell at all. Why is that?
Maybe the batches are weak. We're the batch numbers similar? Maybe you've gotten used to the smell ( like when you are oblivious to perfumes until someone else complains of you using too much). Can you get someone else to give it a sniff test?
i have just moved to a septic house and am wondering if they are septic safe as it does not say it on the box?
Hi Tasha, Ive searched the internet but cant get a direct answer. If I were you I'd call the company and ask just to be sure. Sorry I wasn't any help
Is it harmful to septic tanks
Sorry have no idea as I've thrown box away. I don't have this problem but one would think it would be written on the box.
Is it toxic if by mistake a baby eats a bit of it? I have thrown away my packing box so wondering what's the first aid I can give now.
Hi. I would assume its toxic, as it is a bleach - based product... as a general rule, ANY cleaning product that actually works, will be dangerous, even if its made from natural products. Luigi (computer-aid.com.au)
