how very busy they were, and therefore could not even spend the time to show me the item - I had to go look for it myself, was infuriating. 3 phone calls following up when it would be in store for pickup, no one could tell me except, "we will ring you when it is ready". Text message received to say it was ready for pickup. I phone the store to advise that I would be arriving about 15 mins before their closing time and told where to park the car. I park the car. Press the buzzer. Wait, wait, wait for 7 mins and then a service person comes out of the door and yells at me "what do you want?". I think the staff need a bit more training in customer service

approximately two weeks to be dispatched from the Melbourne warehouse. However, it didn't arrive until 9 weeks later. I picked up the item in late June but only discovered the problem yesterday during installation as I have just moved into a new built house.
I visited the store today to request a replacement for the defective flute. I was served by [Name Removed], the Store Manager, who showed no empathy for my situation. She incorrectly insisted that I had received a refund last week for this item. I tried to explain that there was a partial refund of $104.48 on April 20th because I was incorrectly informed that the item had arrived, however this was a mistake made by the store, therefore they refunded part of the order as I didn't want to pay for something I had not received, which is just common sense. Despite my explanations, [Name Removed] was disinterested and insinuated that no further action could be taken since, according to her, I had not paid for the product. I pointed out that this was illogical and provided evidence of full payment, including the tax invoice and bank receipt. My frustration escalated when [Name Removed] continued to ignore my valid concerns and treated me as if I were being dishonest. To my shock, another salesperson named [Name Removed] approached me and called me a "[Content Removed] rude [Content Removed]." He continued to use abusive language, making me feel extremely uncomfortable until I left the store. Throughout this incident, [Name Removed] stood by and did nothing to address [Name Removed] inappropriate behavior.
I am deeply appalled by the inappropriate and offensive behavior. I have never in my entire life been spoken like this by retail staff in a business where I have spent hundreds of dollars!! The lack of professionalism and empathy, especially from a Store Manager, is just mind blowing! These people have no intrest in providing any level of service and in actual fact should not even be employed anywhere! THIS IS A WARNING FOR ALL NOT TO SHOP AT EARLY SETTLERS. THEY LIE ABOUT THE TIME IT TAKES TO RECEIVE THE GOODS AND THE PRODUCTS ARE OF POOR QUALITY NOT TO MENTION THE RUDE AND DUMB STAFF THAT WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY WHEN THINGS GO WRONG!

wood. Putting the pieces together was super simple and easily done with two people. The table was installed by the transport team who were very quick and professional. One bench seat would not screw in properly and the Robina team addressed this straight away arranging for a replacement early next week. I just wish the bench seats came with a cushion and that both items were available in a darker colour. Only time will tell if stains can be washed out, but nevertheless still very happy with our purchase and we have now decided to purchase another single seat to add to our purchase.
Update March 2023: this lounge is still fantastic over 12mths later. It’s barely faded and the seating has been so easy to remove to wash. They have come clean every time.

This is the worse customer service I have experienced in years. Stay away from glorified importers who try to market themselves as authentic, when really no concern is offered. Buy Australian made as these imported goods are poor on quality.

few months down the track and the thing is rusted on the metal features and literally falling apart. Both metal features on the drawers simply fell off. I glued one back on and the other fell off right after. The bottom metal feature has rusted and stained my tile wall and the front paint has scratched off. Retail was $1200 and a week after I bought it dropped to $750. Not really a 'you get what you pay for' situation. It is beautiful but doesn't stand up to any day to day use without falling apart.

I still have not received them today - it was meant to be delivered early September and got delayed again till end of this month! Just like those comments in other reviews, no replies from Early Settlers when asked for refund/replacement with other products - despite them apologised and stated they can discuss about options including refund in their emails. Massive let down by this company especially the customer support team! may have finally got them to actually do something as they said that they will reupholster the affected areas. This is only a bandaid solution as we've already told them this. The issue will continue to happen. Anyway, the "technician" Guardsman had come over commented on the fact that the lounge is badly faded and has white veiny lines all the way through it. He said that it was a fault with the lounge. We thought that it was just normal but apparently not. There is a problem/fault with the lounge. We have brought up our concerns with Early settler Cairns and because it is under warranty we have requested that they do something about it (We have also sent them pictures) We then got an email back from them after ringing and emailing saying that they have wiped their hands of it and there is nothing now that they can do. What blood hogwash. We have sent them 3-4 replies via email and also rang them. We have heard nothing back. Consumer affairs is our next port of call

Amazing response with warranty claim – I purchased two ceiling fans and unfortunately both failed after minimal use. Despite being out of warranty the staff at Carseldine store and the online Customer Service team considered my case and chose to replace the fans free of charge. is lovely and helpful, but the quality and comfort of our Dunaway leather recliner sofa with chaise is disappointing. It looks gorgeous, but we regret this expensive purchase (over $4500). Even 3 months after purchase and it supposedly 'wearing in', I still feel the springs in the hard seat if I sit or recline more than half an hour in it and miss our 16 year old leather sofa. Even though that was old and sagging, it was a lot more comfortable than this new sofa. The leather of the Dunaway sofa feels lovely and soft but seems to be very thin and already has a tear on the chaise section, even though we have no more children living at home. Our old leather sofa withstood many years with small kids, teenagers and pets without anything like that happening.

Average Quality Furniture at "Solid Wood" Prices – We wife and I bought a Clover Large bookcase and a Clover Large Sideboard from Early Settler, Jindalee. Looks: The furniture looks good! We actually couldn't find the look we wanted (French Provincial or at least country style) elsewhere at Jindalee. Price: The bookcase had a 37.5% discount and the sideboard had a 21% discount. Furniture: The quality is just "OK". It was well packaged but it is a little damaged - the top corner of bookshelf has run into something. The bookcase wobbled a little (correctable with little wedges) and one of the joins is slightly open. You can get away with these flaws aesthetically because the furniture is country style. The shelving in the sideboard is very thin and not fit for purpose. There is no MDF used, but the manufacturer has certainly economised on materials. We would not want to put a heavy items on cupboards shelves in the sideboard, for example. That is disappointing as it limits what we can store in this unit. The delivery was on time and there was good communication. Overall, we like the furniture as it is stylish, but it is not quite worth the money, even with the discounts.
