This company is beyond a joke! Make promises and can not deliver spend your money elsewhere! – I ordered items back on October 2021. A few items were ready and delivered in a timely manner and the other we were told had to be ordered in. Over and over we were told it's coming its delayed again and again given excuse after excuse. First told February then March then May then June then July ! Called last week and was told by a staff member… Read more

that my item had arrived in the country and should arrive in a few weeks only to be given another email saying its delayed until SEPTEMBER. I called the store and the team member told me they had no details saying it was in the country, so now the staff just lie to you to get you off their backs on items you PAID for. They make sure you pay UPFRONT they have their money yet the buyer is left with nothing! Spend your money elsewhere don't even bother with Early Settler you'll will only be taken advantage of!

disappointing non-delivery and non-performance – I ordered a white metal and wooden trunk/coffee table on 22/12/21 and was told item would take approximately 6 weeks before it was available. Some weeks ago, I was informed that the item had arrived on the wharf in Fremantle and would be delivered shortly! Over 3 months later - and only because I again contacted the company by email - I have today… Read more

been informed that the trunk will now not be available until early July. I am so disappointed, as I loved the trunk, but do not intend to wait another day for it, and will never be ordering another item of furniture from Early Settler.

Rubbish tapware – We were given incorrect advice on which sink waste to purchase, plumber could not use it, now down $90. Tapware ( Oxford lever set ) are made in Taiwan and not to Australian standards. Copper T piece is very thin, and impossible to work with. My whole order arrived in drips and drabs, never received my chrome toilet brush holder, and my email has gone un answered. Will never deal with early settler again. Copy of invoice enclosed.

Not even a ‘hello’ – I visited your innaloo store on the afternoon of Thursday 27th May 2021. I was looking to purchase 2 lamps / 2 bedside tables and a rug ..... possibly a reading chair if I could find one. I was on a mission to find all products in that afternoon. desk, where a woman was busy wrangling a lamp. I was the only customer in the store. She did not look up , acknowledge or welcome me in any way. She did not offer any assistance in any way. I kept searching and did a second lap of the store - thinking ‘ she’s probably going to ask how I was going this time round ‘ - But - Nothing. There was a man working on a computer- who also - did not look up or speak at all. With the current growth in online shopping - I would have thought that a customer in a brick and mortar store would be quite important to interact with. Apparently not. Needless to say - I was insistent that I would not purchase a single thing - based on the complete lack of interest shown to me as a person- and a shopper. So - I walked out and drove to The Furniture Gallery in Osborne Park, where I spent in excess of $2000 So sorry that your staff pay more attention to lamps than humans I do hope you can employ someone to assist with training in customer service. Awesome furniture and great customer service! – We absolutely love our teak daybed! So versatile and stylish. The service we received in store was fantastic, and although we had to wait awhile for delivery it was well worth it! KING BED brought an amazing price and a seen – Brought a queen bed frame from early settler with an initial advice it may take 4 weeks to come from Melbourne due to COVID. Pleasantly surprised it arrived in 2 weeks, was as promised and looks amazing. Rare to get such great service these days l find but credit where it's due and will be buying a lot more from Early Settler.

Customer Service is perfect – The staff were very busy at the time I was waiting to be served but they were still all in very good spirits and helped everyone equally. Excellent service super happy friendly staff – I went to the Early Settler store in Innaloo to order a cane chest basket. The staff were super helpful but more than that they were really happy, seemed to get along really well, and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. Poor quality for a hefty price tag – A little something I have sent to Early Settler... let's see what comes back... I purchased some items back in February and have had what seems to be non stop problems since... I ordered a bed, mattress, floor lamp and drawers. The bed arrived around May and broke within 3 weeks and after many attempts at contacting the store over a 2 weeks… Read more

period and getting nothing to get the issue resolved, we ended up reinforcing the bed ourselves. When the lamp arrived, one of the legs was completed broken, probably due to the cheap "wood" used to make it... I sent it back and have only just received the replacement this week after over 2 months. In this time I was told on a number of occasions it would arrive at the end of May, then the end of June. It arrived and quite frankly, the quality of it is poor.

It looks OK, although nothing like it does in the catalogue I ordered it from. So, it's fair to say I'm a little disappointed I paid so much for it... thankfully I didn't pay full price for it as it was on "special" at the time... a bargain of $180. I was in target yesterday and say an almost identical lamp that was a fraction of the price and actually looks better quality... In all of this, I have been offered a $100 gift voucher to spend in your store... I don't want it as I don't want to purchase any other items from your store as the quality and slow service to ship from Vietnam and China is shocking. Also, trying to find something in your store for less than that is almost impossible, unless I wanted to buy some overpriced fake flowers or door knobs. I hate to be one of those complaining customers but I really don't think the service and products qualify for the price tag you put on.

Poor Quality Product - A Waste of Money – I purchased a timber laundry hamper instore. Service was efficient. The hamper was over $100 so I thought it would last a long time. How wrong was I! It literally fell to bits. the dowels holding the timber slats in place were some poor quality cardboard or chipboard. The whole item fell into a pile of sticks. I had to throw away the item today. Beautiful furniture – I purchased the Ariadne 3 seater, Chester foot stool and the trentham 3 drawer TV unit there was a wait for the furniture to Come from Victoria however the wait was well worth it. The furniture was delivered unpackaged and assembled for us by the delivery people. The couch is the most amazingly comfortable couch we have ever owned it is beautiful… Read more

French provincial design the ottoman is not the exact match to the couch but no one has noticed yet as it is a very close match in color and style.

The TV unit is amazing quality for a very good price so happy with it all just absolutely in love with it all and the couch was purchased on sale got close to $1000 off.

My Mum, who is a specialty window dressing and upholstery machinist and worked with influencial west Australian Families for interior design and window dressing requirements and accessories for decades, as well as myself and all the people I have spoken to love early settlers, true homemakers, and appreciators of special beautiful things, don't think twice this is your place.

Excellent service and Advice – We made our purchase in store which was beautiful,organised and easy to get around, the service was excellent and informative. Good for the price – After reading some negative comments I thought I would add my experience with Early Settler. I purchased a dining table and chairs, a buffet and a TV cabinet and coffee table approx 5 years ago while on special. Yes, I had to wait a few months for arrival of the products but, they have all been well tested as I have 6 boys! The only problem I have… Read more

had is having to re tighten the legs on the chairs and table occasionally. So for the price that I paid for the furniture I think it has been well worth it.

Replacements are just as bad – I bought a dining table with chairs, a buffet and a coffee table from Early Settler, I paid a sum of money and I am fortunate that I got it on sale. However the amount I paid I expected quality superior to Ikea's furniture, which it did not meet. The table, buffet and coffee table all are splitting due to shrinking wood. replaced with something that is only going to result in the same splitting, they replaced it instantly and paid for the delivery. I am now going to have go into some DIY action to repair the splits and cracks because I actually like the style of the furniture.

Early Settler, think logically, you are getting your furniture manufactured in a place that is very humid and wet and you are selling it to people who live in Australia, which isn't very humid and wet. The wood shrinks, cracks and gaps form because it's a lot dryer here. Perhaps you should rethink manufacture processes, like kiln dried wood, to save yourself money of replacing and delivery and to save us the hassle of being angry, grumpy and disappointed customers.

I wouldn't bother replacing your furniture like I did, go for the full refund and spend it elsewhere, like I should have. Style, looks Manufacture location and process results in wood splits, cracks and gaps.
