Should be 0 stars – Faulty from day 1. We were told we were buying the last batch of an Australian made fridge. Clearly labelled "made in Thailand" when it was delivered. Doors never closed properly. Kept bouncing opening, fridge is too cold. Door shelves literally fall off. Total piece of crap. After 7 years I finally got rid of it. Show details

This is an amazing fridge! – Our fridge is 12 years old and we are still super impressed with it. We have had no problems at all. The shelves are still perfect, the hinges are still perfect, we love the drawers for the crispers and in the freezer. We would definitely buy an Electrolux fridge again. Show details

Love it – I love my fridge still going strong since purchased never had any issues at all. I am updating my kitchen and changing my appliances to black colour and again I definitely will purchase Electrolux. I can’t wait to see the new designs. By the way we are family of 6 with kids and fridge all day long working for us. Show details

Not happy! Freezes everything in fridge compartment – Fridge was turned off while powerboards were switched over but since being turned back on it is now freezing everything in the fridge compartments but irregularly ie water in bottles hasn't frozen but the cream sitting next to the water has. Apples in the fruit compartment haven't frozen but strawberries have. Carrots in the vegetable crisper… Read more

over the upside down option – Great fridge freezer. Love the upside down option. Even convinced my daughter and my father to get one. Great for large plates/ platters with the French door setup. Keeps great temperature. Crispers are easy to clean. Love the four doors rather than the large freezer draw concept. Few problems but Electrolux could easily manufacture better components – I like the 4 door fridge idea but the top door hinge springs at the bottom break and are too weak. This could be resolved by making the hinge springs out of stronger plastic/metal. The door also dents very easily. The ice tray support has a weak spot and the tiny ice tray locator breaks. This could have been better designed such as wider ice trays and grooves instead of locators.  Show details

Excellent!! – This is a fabulous fridge freezer, love the easy to clean steel and glass shelves which are ideal for those party platters that other fridges have failed on in the passed. I have had this fridge freezer for 2 years and have been more than happy with it. Easy to clean, always looks fabulous! so quiet! and as I live in an open plan home this is a very important factor. I would highly recommend this one if you are in the market!!  Show details

great layout/design but poorly built – We purchased the fridge about 8 years ago, and had it replaced within 9 months. The freezer doors were falling out of the slider. I suspect it was manufactured out of dimensional tolerances. I must say it was good of Electrolux to replace unit with no prompting by me. However over the past years have had the same problems as noted by others -… Read more

Totally dissapointed with this supposed to be "Aussie Icon Brand" – Fridge is now just over 2 yrs Old, broken cheap plastic door hinges have broken, Fridge makes a lot of strange gargling noises, fridge inside temp no where near what it says on mimmick panel, had to install a fridge thermometer and then reset the mimick panel up the scale by about 6 deg c. Absolutely discusting for the price of this fridge.!!!!

Very disappointed with Electrolux "Customer Care"! Rubbish product, expensive and forget goodwill! – Looked good on The Good Guys' showroom floor. Cheap plastic hinges on LHS door broke within 18 months (but I did not realise it came from the fridge). RHS door bottom hinge broke in th elast month or so (and, NO, we do not play rough with our fridge ... as suggested by "Customer Care"). This fridge makes weird "muttering" noises all night (as… Read more

if it is talking to itself) and then makes a loud crack noise.

Apparently, this is to be expected from a 4 year old, $2,800 Electrolux fridge!!!!

Wrote to Customer Care [name removed] only to receive a phone call today with no intention of actually listening to me; kept on repeating the same mantra (probably from a scripted flowchart)!!! I told her she was boring me and there was no point in continuing the conversation.

Each plastic hinge (cheap looking injection moulded affair) sells for $72.00 a piece (and I have four of those, two broken and two to follow). You would have thought that Electrolux would offer a half-way solution and send me a couple. No! They want their service dude to attend and for me to pay for the call.

Not happy Jane oops! [name removed]. Customer Care staff seems to be continually "sorry" on this forum but no action.

Vote with your feet and your wallets people. Do not buy from this manufacturer.

The worst fridge ever!!! – We have contacted Electrolux and they did nothing - our fridge is less that 1 year old and the front is so thin it has dents all over it - and we have in no way been rough with it - Electrolux what are you going to do about this as it is clearly a fault in your design. The actual fridge is really good but looks terrible and really lets down the look of our new kitchen.

Extremely Dissappointed!!!!! – We purchased this refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago because we thought Electrolux would be a brand we could trust for good products. Horrific – Constantly ices up between the fridge and freezer causing fridge to stop working. Electrolux support tells me to call service agent who charges $250 to come and blow fridge vent with a hair dryer for an hour. NEVER AGAIN. I am tired of taking all my food out and leaving the doors open for 3 days to defrost it. If you search the web enough you will find it is a known fault with Electrolux fridges

Don't buy one – A useless refrigerator. 4 years old. Purchased from Good Guys. Plenty of space. Stylish design. Made from super thin metal which constantly dents (no you don't have to hit it) by itself. Freezers which constantly ice up. Fragile plastic fittings. Contacted company about dents and were told it was our problem. Buyer beware. Lots of better product out there!

Very good but could be better – The fridge looks smart, its layout and shelving are very clever and work well, and as a refrigerator/freezer we cannot find fault. On the downside, some of the plastic fittings are a bit fragile, and the supposed stainless steel panelling is VERY thin and dents very easily. One must be very careful not to knock the panelling with a broom or anything hard!

Indifferent fridge – This is a good looking fridge with plenty of space for our family of four. Some of the plastic components have broken though. Plastic compartment bottom of right hand side door broke causing broken glass. Butter section lid just cracked and fell off when being opened.Temperature fluctuated inside giving incorrect readings. Not so great - Paid too much – Well about 4 years ago we removed all appliances in our kitchen and replaced them with E:Line series fridge, oven and cooktop. from the cold. The stainless steel seemed to have pressure marks from just being pushed into the place by the delivery guys. Not happy with the fridge....it replaced a Fisher & Pykle that was 10 years old and I can say that the fisher was better quality.

Now the oven....thermostat gone twice...the door as the repair man put it "is too heavy for its own brackets" hence it wont close properly which means the oven wont work unless you wedge something to keep it closed. After replacing the door and the bracket + thermos my $2200 oven has now cost me $3400....the old oven was a Chef...cheap and cheerful but it worked. We have an investment property and initially we liked the oven so much that we put one in that house as well....same problem with door again..

The hot plates, look really nice they are the ones with black glass with metal trivets on top. The trivet broke after a month as apparently I was pushing too hard on metal to clean it??? Got a new one ok... the rest of the trivets the rubber stoppers on the feet keep falling off every time you lift them to wipe the area...frustrating as there is nothing I can use to glue them on...the heat makes them fall off again.

If anyone from Electrolux is listening feel free to contact me...I spent about $9500 on stuff that is plagued with problems. Look nice Poor opperationally

just fallen off and is actually broken - the space inside the fridge allows only minimal height - no bottles, tall glasses. no room for these, and the right hand side door of fridge does not seal correctly - sent email to Electrolux about this and was advised curtly to go to their agent and would cost me $134 to fix. This is unacceptable - no doubt if I ask for the warranty to fix these faults I will be told it does not cover such. Not impressed! We used to love it, but it's over – We replaced a 10 year old LG side by side fridge of the same capacity with this model. In terms of usable space this fridge is heaps better. We really haven't found the lack of height to be a problem as yet. On the side by side fridge it was easy to lose track of the food we had in there because the shelves in the freezer and fridge compartments… Read more ·  1

were deep but quite narrow. This fridge is no noisier than the LG we had, in fact it may actually be a little quieter. The freezer section is fantastic for space and size. It is easy to dent the door though, we have no got into the habit of only using the handles. On first use I pushed the main door and this produced a very slight dent which is quite noticeable because of the shiny reflective finish. Finger marks are not a problem for us though. Otherwise we would have given it 5 stars. Lots of usable space in fridge and freezer. Looks good and works as expected. Use handles to close door to avoid slight dents.

Update January 2021 Over the past couple of years we have had to replace the plastic hinges (Especially the LH one) 3 times. Overall we have replaced these hinges about 8 times. When they fail the door does not close properly and worse even if you push the door closed it can, all by itself, just open slightly. Enough for the fridge to lose temperature, this is bad because not only does it cost you electricity the temperature rises inside the fridge. And now these parts are hard to get.

A great layout, with great features, let down by cheap, poorly designed hinge close mechanism which in the end has reduced the reputation of Electrolux and lost them at least one customer (us). The problem when buying is there is now way of knowing that it takes a couple of years for for some faults to appear. Surely Electrolux knows about this fault but they chose not to be proactive and let there customers down.

I would like a section to store taller items in main fridge shelving area - 1/2 width of shelf would be great. Ideally it could have a shelf with that half of it could lift up or out to enable more tall items such as extra bottles of milk and OJ in main fridge area design - love doors shelving a little close together but still ok

Electrolux fridge a disappointment – I purchased an Elextrolux stainless steel fridge model number EQE6007SB-NAU in March 2010 for $3,129.00 with a 5 year extended warranty from The Good Guys. had a tech from Electrolux out two weeks ago to inspect however have not yet heard back. Aside from this (Not Electrolux's fault granted) to add insult to injury the 5 year extended warranty from the Good Guys is not worth the paper it is written on as apparently the shelves and drawers are accessories and therefore not covered. The dictionary definition of Accessory is (A subordinate or supplementary item; an adjunct. b. Something nonessential but desirable that contributes to an effect or result.) How you can say that drawers and shelves in a fridge are non essential I have no idea....

Also Purchased the Electrolux Twin Clean Model number Z8266 in May 2009 from Harvey Norman for $460.00 after being talked out of a Dyson by the Harvey Norman sales person. This vacuum has been a disappointment. We have replaced the wand under warranty after the plastic clip that attaches it to the main unit broke and then the wand itself broke. The clip on the replacement wand also broke after a couple of months and we didn't bother with replacing again as it was clearly a design fault. The twin clean system is a joke with the filters needing to be cleaned manually otherwise it loses suction. The Vacuum itself packed up for good yesterday. When it is tuned on it starts and then immediately turns off. It could be a faulty switch however I am done with it. Have today replaced this pile of garbage with a Miele. We have not had any luck with Electrolux products. If you are shelling out your hard earned, then avoid disappointment and buy anything but Electrolux. Wide shelves and french doors Cheaply made garbage with a premium price tag.

space then buy a pigeon pair. If not this is a good option. It's a big fridge and holds a lot. It was very quiet at first - but after about 10 months you can here the pump - but still quite. S/S is very easy to clean with micro fibre cloth. No swishing water sounds either.

I love the two draw ice cube tray. This fridge has so much more shelf space than a side by side fridge. I would have to say that the fridge temp isn't as cold as the LCD display indicates which is'nt a probem just set it cooler.

One of the freezers has a insulation strip at the top of the door which can easily pull off when pulling out the top draw.

Update Dec 2017: We still like the fridge overall, however, the clips on the doors that clip it shut both broke off shortly after purchase, and when we called Electrolux, they weren't really interested, and they told us we'd have to replace the doors entirely at our cost.
