What's with support calls apparently taking 4 weeks for an available repairer to come out to inspect an Electrolux machine that's still under warranty? Samsung take 3 days!
There is no water going into the collection tray. Could the hose be blocked? I blew into the hose at the back of the machine and could hear the air bubbling through the water.
How do I turn the child lock off? EDH903BEWA
Is there any way to turn off the anti-crease / reverse plus after it has finished drying phase? It is annoying while doing other stuff to constantly hear the dryer wind up and down.
I uderstand this has a reverse tumble. 1. How often does it reverse tumble during normal dry cycle, say total 4 hours. 2. What is the duration of the reverse tumble. Tkank you
I read somewhere the water could be used in an iron. Could I water plants too?
The water produced I guess is technically distilled. To what standard I am unsure. It would be better then compared to just tap water, but wouldn’t be to a controlled standard of distilled or demineralised water you could buy. Plants would be fine. The collection tray would be 2-3litres and fills up depending on the size of load but typically we would empty it once a day washing and drying for 2 adults and 2 small children.
Thanks for your quick answer Brett. I’m hoping it will be better than tap water for indoor plants. I’ll do a trial on one plant. But first I have to wait for the dryer to arrive.
If it’s like distilled water it would have the minerals removed that the plants may actually like. Though it’s probably without the chlorine so maybe a good thing. No worries. We have used the dryer for 6 months now and it’s fantastic. Enjoy.
where is it made?
My dryer has just started stopping in the first part of the time. so everything still wet. Is it a function or a fault to be fixed
Sounds more like a fault....

Can the dryer work if you line dry to 90% then finish off the last 10% in the dryer?
In my opinion only if you use the timer function (set a time to dry).
Can you please advise any specific conditions for wall mounting and confirm that no specific ventilation is required(wil be in a small laundry with no forced ventilation)?
Heat pump dryers are generally too heavy for wall mounting. It will make your room warm and slightly damp but less so than a non-heat pump dryer.
My brand new machine is making the room hot and humid with water condensing and running down the windows and walls of my laundry(which is not small). The service call out technician advised that this is correct and the heat pump dryers all need ventilation I have tried it with open windows with much the same result. The hot, wet air is coming out the rear of the machine. This seems contrary to all the heat pump buyers guides and the user reviews I have seen. Grateful if others can advise, does your machine emit hot wet air at the back and is it enough to be of concern? I feel that my machine is probably faulty but Electrolux advises it is perfectly normal. Thank you
I've had the same experience. I bought a heat pump dryer because it said online that it wouldn't emit hot, wet air. It definitely does. Spoke to the company, said it was normal. Sigh.
I returned mine to appliances online and now have a normal Electrolux vented dryer, reusing venting kit from old dryer. Refunded most of extra cost plus sold old dryer for$250. New dryer works hassle free and is definitely superior to old dryer. Is more gentle with a wide range of temperature programs, and improved sensor drying.
My new machine is emitting hot moist air from the back
Do you find condensation on the outside of the water tank when you remove it? Also do you experience condensation and heat in the room? Have only used twice but the walls were dripping with condensation. Thank you.
I would like to ask about the noise level. My new machine seems quite loud to me and seems to be operating at 60-63 decibels, which us much louder than my old vented dryer at 55 decibels. In particular there is a loud buzzing/ fan hitting something kind of sound coming from the motor on the lower right side. Is that how it should sound? Grateful any replies. Thank you
Mine doesn't sound like that, and I've found it much, much quieter than a vented dryer.
Hi no mine is really quite it's great I think you might need it looked at, if you can here the fan like that dosnt sound good.
Thank you
I've looked at this model at Good Guys. Reverse action sounds great, so no balling of sheets. However, you can't pull out the heat exchanger to wash it and there's no extra final filter to protect the exchanger from lint that passes the main filters. How does that work please? I'm not sure if this is better or worse than other machines that either have another very fine filter or have "self cleaning" condensers. No one seems to mention this as a problem. Thanks for any feedback from users. Otherwise I'm on the brink of buying based on such positive reviews.
I have never pulled out parts of any dryer to wash and is not a technical person. However, regarding another fine filter. I am not sure of you have seen the filter when you are in good guys. As you take out the filter and open it up, attached in the middle is another layer with finer filter. Between my washes I have noticed that the layer does indeed catches the very fine lint. I am not aware of how it translate to protecting the exchanger, but hope this little info helps if at all.
Hm, interesting question, yes, with my old Bosch dryer I had to remove the heat exchanger and give it a wash now and then as fluff was building up in it (Bosch also said that not cleaning this would contribute to the clogging issue). The Elextrolux manual mentioned to now and then use a vacuum cleaner to clean the front of the exchanger... how effective that is, we will see. I noticed that the filtering system seems to be quite effective and not much fluff is getting to the heat exchanger.. maybe it's a better system? Certainly won't protect it 100% of fluff. Time will tell.
Hi can you please tell me the noise level when drying
Can this dryer be wall mounted?
No.
Will it work if I only have a couple of items that don’t weigh much or does it require a certain minimum load weight?
It still works with a couple of things in there, I just have issues if you don't put enough bedding in and it seems to tangle more because it's not full enough.
I’ve put a couple of items for 15 minutes and it seems to work fine.
