Great Product. Easy to Use – Great product as it is very powerful. Works and does the job. Quite pricey but it is an electrolux product so usually priced about this amount. Have owned products from this brand before and it usually lasts long. Show details

Warranty Service GREAT! – I was very disappointed, but I have since changed my mind. I replaced my ten year old Miele vacuum (which still worked) with this bagless Electrolux, hoping to save on purchasing bags. The Electrolux is a bit of work to maintain cleaning and replacing filters. I've had it two years and the power switch would not work. Luckily, I did save my… Read more

proof of purchase. I contacted Electrolux and they arranged a courier and picked it up the following day. I got it back repaired a day later! I guess you just have to weigh the pros and cons of a bagged machine to a bagless. As far as cleaning it works great! Thank you Electrolux for your service.

Very high maintenance & costly vacuum cleaner with a worthless warranty! – I would not recommend this vacuum cleaner due to the fact the multiple filters require cleaning out after every single use and require replacement on a regular basis at great expense. There are four filters which require removal and cleaning, and believe me, unless you clean them all after every single use, you will run into problems. The inside… Read more

of the machine will get caked in dust and your house will be filled with the stench of dust as you vacuum. The most crucial filter is made from cardboard, which requires washing out with water, which understandably quickly destroys it and it is not cheap to replace. We owned our cleaner for 18months, regularly cleaning out all the filters every 6 weeks. One year in we replaced all the filters with new. Six months on we sent the cleaner back to Electrolux due to the extreme dustiness we were experiencing. We were simply told we were not maintaining it well enough! What a waste of hard earned money!!!! Electrolux have since discontinued this machine, which is a good decision in my opinion.

Amazing Vacuum Cleaner – Performance was great, used it after I had already done the floors with my old vacuum, and the amount of stuff that came up off the carpets after they had already been vacuumed was astonishing. Have had it over 6 months now, and the suction hasn't decreased. Gets most of my cats hair from carpets and couches. Best vacuum I have purchased. Highly recommend  Show details

Great for rugs – I know this product has been discontinued. I guess this explains why I only paid $300 at Godfreys for it. I bought it because I wanted a quality bagless vacuum cleaner. It is certainly very easy to empty the vacuum and great not to worry about purchasing bags. It is quite light and I think not quite as loud as my other vacuum cleaner, which got… Read more

blocked and hence the need for this replacement. The long cord is great for my 2 bedroom apartment. The variable suction is great for cleaning my Flokati shag rug. I actually read online this is one of the top 10 vacuums for cleaning shag rugs. I didn't even know this when I bought it as I didn't even have the rug then.

My main problem with the product is the 3 way attachment. The three way attachment itself is very good. It's just that it attaches to the flexible hose and keeps falling off. It would be better if it clipped onto the vacuum itself.

great little vacuum – I purchased this vacuum mid last year to help deal with my severe dust mite allergy and it works really well, my only complaint would be the amount of dust I end up getting on me trying to clean it out, Possibly it could be a little easier to clean because if you're like me you'll need gloves and a mask to avoid an epic sneezing fit. Also crazy… Read more

thing happened, I didn't use it for a couple of weeks and ants set up house it in! Be careful where you leave it and how well you clean it! We have hard wood floors and rugs, both clean well.

Great suction power but head broken in 6 months – Great suction on this vacuum !! but my vacuum head had 1 piece fall out in the first month then 5 months later another piece fall out of the head while vacuuming it no longer works as well !! It is a great vacuum shame about the head as I really do love using it ...  Show details ·  2

Fantastic plus great customer service – Very quiet, great suction. Incredibly easy to empty. Love the washable filters. Previously had a Dyson for many years and the suction on this one seems better. Our power switch broke after 6 months. I called the hotline which was answered within 60 seconds. Five minutes later they had arranged to send me a replacement (updated model). No fuss.  Show details

Better than a Dyson – We had an Electrolux model before this, and were very happy with it. We needed a new vacuum in our office so we gave this to them and bought ourselves a new Dyson. Mistake. We thought the Dyson would be a better machine because of all the hype but it was a big disappointment. After 2 weeks I gave up and bought another Electrolux. The suction on the… Read more

Dyson was nothing compared to this machine, and the Dyson would get up a wobble and fall over when I tried to move fast from one room to another.

I've had this one for a year and I recommend it. No problems and fantastic suction.

We've owned Dysons and budget vacs – Just unpacked this vacuum, $320 from the Good Guys. Substantially more suction than any Dyson we've had (comparing new to new). Dirt bucket is only the dirt bucket, there's not cyclonic vents in it. Where the hose fits the first bend on yhe handle is a bit cheap and nasty, but clipped in right with force. Not very quiet, however it was not a… Read more

concern when I was looking.

It picks up dirt far finer than our Dyson has ever managed.

Very happy with this vac.

Pretty good vacuum cleaner for the money! – Just picked up my new Electrolux from Good Guys for $320 to replace our old Electrolux vacuum (overheated and melted the power button and couldn't be turned on). Just did one of those whole house cleans that usually come with a new vacuum and i'm very impressed. Very powerful and incredibly quiet. Also very lightweight! 2 years platinum warranty isn't too bad either!  Show details

Great Product – Fantastic improvement over the 20 year old Electrolux barrel cleaner we had. Pickup is great and bagless system is easy to use and wash out. Bought it with the turbo head which really cleans the carpet well. Speed of the turbo roller does vary greatly though from time to time in the same room. Composite nozzle/brush is bulky and difficult to get into tight crevices (car). Light enough to carry and I love the 12m cord.

Great quality – Purchased this vacuum cleaner from Harvey Norman about 6 months ago. The unit has great suction and feels very solid. The internal filters are washable and the dust bin is easy to empty. The extra-long cord is great, makes it very convenient. Comparing it to the Dyson, this definitely feels much more solid. Couldn’t have been happier, highly recommend this model.

Very Good Vacuum – I purchased this vacuum cleaner because we recently moved into a 3 bedroom, 2 level unit with all carpets (except the wet areas) and my previous cheap Hoover vacuum broke. I used to vacuum weekly so the carpets were cleanish - or so I thought. The 1st time I used the Electrolux, I was amazed at the amount of dirt and hair It picked up that was… Read more

deeply embedded in the carpet. Had to empty the vacuum twice just because it picks up so well.

I also like the different levels of suctions (1 to 5) and also the attached nozzle that helps with tight corners and small crevices. It is light and easy to use and the 12m extension cord is a major plus.

I seriously can't vault this machine. I hope the suction lasts but so far 2 thumbs up!

Sucks... but not in the way a vacuum should! – Great for the first use. Then the suction got worse and worse. As another reviewer said, filters need to be totally cleaned with every single use if you want it to get any form of suction. Very very disappointed with such an expensive machine. Wishing I had gone for the filterless Dyson.

Very good as long as you clean the filters – I had the same problem as many have said. I have had my vacuum for about 8 months and vacuum hard floors and 2 rugs and it recently lost suction power, would cut out after about 10 minutes and would stay on setting 0 without any noise. The guy at The Good Guys where I bought it, explained I had to keep my filter clean, which I was doing. I was… Read more

rinsing it monthly. After this problem I started looking around the vacuum and came across another filter that wasn't pointed out to me. There is one at the top, one at the front and one at the back. I got out my instructions and cleaned them all. Let them dry overnight and just put them back in. The vacuum is sucking like new. I have it on setting 1 and it lifts my rug right off the floor unless I open the little air flow valve. So I was worried I was going to have to take it back, but now I don't thankfully. I think it was overheating because the back filter was clogged up, and that caused the power to cut out.

The back filter took ages till the water ran clean, but you can't scrub it as it is some sort of paper or cardboard, I just had the tap running on it for about 5-10 minutes and would keep tipping it over and lightly tapping it to get the muck out.

I think there needs to be better trouble shooting info somewhere about this as it seems very common that it is happening to customers and the sales people obviously don't know everything about every vacuum they sell.

But overall this is now a wonderful vacuum and I hope this review helps some of you and you try cleaning the filters properly instead of taking it back.

I only knock a star off because I don't feel as if the cleaning instructions are thoroughly explained in the booklet enough.

Great suction and quiet motor! – Read positive reviews and decided to purchase this vacuum as it was on special. I would consider the brand to be premium in the market. The suction is great at all times even when nearing capacity. The motor is quiet and at 1600w is power friendly. The 12m cord means I can do my whole house from a single power point with no extension cords making it easy. The quality seams built to last.

CRAP....CRAP....CRAP – Purchased from Goodguys Alexandria Sydney. I vacuum everyday as I have 3 kids, hair and dust get stuck. I have to get my hands dirty everytime, pulling everything off....if I don't the machine over heated and stops working and you have to wait over 1 hour before you can start again. This product was sold as the best....biggest wast of money ever....DONT BUY

Best Vacuum I have ever owned – Excellent machine. Well engineered, quiet and does a great job. I have found out the hard way that washable dust filters are a must on any bag less cleaner. They are washable and are easily accessed on this cleaner. Feels and operates like a quality machine. Nice long power cord. I would happily recommend it to anyone.

The answer to my allergies! – I am a severe allergy sufferer and this vacuum's technology is outstanding. It is very light and easy to manouvre. I have large areas of tiled floor and carpet and this vacuum has a cord that reaches 12 metres so I don't need to change power points. The suction on this model is fantastic. The price was very reasonable. Extremely happy with this vacuum.

Would get 5 stars if more safe – This vacuum replaces my Dyson. I am happy with suction however the cannister is very unsafe for young children. My child is 15 months old and can easily open the dust cannister. Just something for parents to look out for. Safety concern. Happy with the cord length. Can do my entire living area using the one power point.

Stunningly surprised – After reading the reviews here I decide to give this a go, picked up it up from Harvey Norman for $345. I had a wiethiem I bought back in 2003 for around $700 . Like others mentioned here I spent a lot more on new hoses and cords. Admittley the engine never skipped a beat but the wheel fell off the poles kept collapsing the handle split apart the… Read more

bearings in the power head collapsed. So i had enough of wasting money on it.

I had a look at the other models including the top of the line ultra flex with the turbo head. I tried it out on a demo mat in store the pile was slightly higher than my carpet at home and the turbo head stalled and stopped in the pile. It doesn't have the power to keep the head rotating.

I can't see the justification in spending another $100 -$150 bucks for the top of the line model which uses the same engine which is only slightly more energy efficient than the base model and the turbo head that imo is not worth the money.

When I got it home and unboxed I was surprised how light it is. I vaced the lounge the night before with the old wiethiem and went over it with the ultra flex and man WOW !! The amount of dust n dirt this bad boy picked up I couldn't believe it.

The engine is super strong I have to have it on level 3 to vac the carpets otherwise it wears you out pushing back and forth. It easily picks up the dirt on this setting. When i move to the tile area down to 1 it goes and man it's quiet!! I even managed to vac the whole tiled area with the kids asleep the baby too !

The only fault I can see so far is the dust bin gets a bit dusty on the outside when you remove it.

I opted for extended warranty up to 5 years which will cover any breakdowns in the future, but honestly it's top vac really and listen to the reviews here cause I did and I love this machine.

Edit 7/8/16

The handle started to wear and wouldn't hold onto the pole. Contacted Electrolux customer care and they sent me out a new handle and new pole via courier. It arrived less than 24 hrs after my call !!! The assistant was great only needed the serial number and model number of the machine. Don't usually get customer service like this these days. So my bad boy is rocking again...

Electrolux Goes from Ultracrap to Ultragood – I purchased this vacuum cleaner as the replacement to an Electrolux UltraActive ZUA3861P model that I tossed in the bin due to ongoing problems and poor performance. of their products that overall I was happy with. So it was off to The Good Guys again...

In a nutshell, this would have to be the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used for the price ($350). What's so good about it:

- Long length power cord

- Wand and head no problems for a taller person

- The main unit is light and maneuverable

- Noise level very acceptable

- Excellent fur and dust pickup capability

- Easy to empty bin

- Filter visible and easy to clean

- Can be stored in a variety of ways including wand restraint

I admit that it has made my vacuuming experience enjoyable again and restored my faith in Electrolux. You won't be unhappy with this product as all other reviews illustrate.

Great for dust allergies – I purchased this Vacuum because I have dust allergies. I considered getting a Dyson but then a friend recommended this Vacuum because she owns a Dyson and purchased this Electrolux for her Mum and believes that it works just as well, but for a fraction of the price. The Electrolux has a long cord which means I don’t ever have to switch between… Read more

power points when vacuuming 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. It has good suction power which sucks mess from the carpet and from the air. It also comes with a handy brush attachment which I find great for the car. It’s also very easy to empty. The only con I find is the carpet brush is a bit hard and long for my carpet so it doesn’t glide easily so I use the hard floor function for the carpet and because it’s so strong it works well without having to be brushed.
