Excellent service. Long story short, electric hot water didn't get installed on time so ran out of gas, no hot water in winter. Elgas scheduled 2 days. I called to check if local guys could get in sooner. Yes, done same day I called. Awesome! Show details ·  1

Ongoing terrible experience with Elgas. On this occasion, I have had a gas order pending for 7 weeks, and it has been rescheduled 5–6 times. Two confirmed deliveries were either cancelled or simply did not arrive. I called Elgas three days in a row last week and was told each time that delivery was scheduled for the next day, but it still has not… Read more

occurred. I have already run out of gas on four occasions while using Elgas, and I am now down to the final 10–20% of my last bottle, with no confirmed delivery in sight. I have also submitted several enquiries through their contact form without any response. Very poor and unreliable service in my experience. Be warned.

Update: Ran out of gas again! Elgas arranged an emergency delivery.

After arriving at my daughters home she said there was a smell of gas from her Elgas bottle, I checked and there was a leak from the connection to the bottle, my daughter rang and was told that they do not have any responsibility at the connection to the bottle! offered to send a photo and he said there’s no way he can get it? I said maybe email! No response! He said they don’t use tape and there delivery drivers aren’t qualified but they still connect the bottles? I was told to call a plumber! Please don’t use this company as they will set you up with non qualified people to replace your gas bottle, allow it to leak and then not claim any liability or even come out to check what they have done! So dangerous to allow this practice and deny accountability! Shame on them! Happy to talk to anyone from Elgas if they’re game! So disappointing.

More than doubled their prices in since January – I have been a loyal Elgas customer for the last 5 years and in the last 7 months, we have seen the price of one 45kg gas cylinder delivered climb from $98 to $190.... How could you guys do this?? More than double your prices in this climate. I have moved to another provider who was literally 50% cheaper and locked my prices for 2 years. You should be ashamed for taking advantage of your customers like this. Show details

Pathetic Service! – Pathetic Service! I started the ordering process on July 6th and still haven't received my gas bottles by the 17th. This is despite receiving a confirmation email on the 15th July stating that my bottles had been delivered. I will never recommend or do business with Elgas again! 21/4: Writing another review as it has been another week of zero correspondence from Elgas. I have raised 3 complaints. 1 via social media that was read and ignored, 1 via the complaints link on the website that said I would hear back the follow… Read more

business day (still waiting a week later) and the other was the phone call I made and found out later no one actually took note of my complaint.

I would love for head office to investigate or at the very least acknowledge me!

Update 23/4: I have received a return email from Tracey, saying I will not be getting a refund for changing companies during the facility fee time frame of 12 months (this is not the reason I am asking for a refund, I am asking due to a breach of contract that lead to no services). She said she would look into finding me the proof of notification but has now ignored that and told me the case is closed.

 Follow-up  · To answer follow up questions: I still have not been provided with the email confirming cancellation. I still have not been provided proof of notification that there was a safety issue with my gas, not notifying me is a breach of safety and their legal requirements which led me to have zero services. No star rating for this poor companies customer service . Now waiting almost a month for Elgas to contact me to pick up their 90kg cylinder . Every time I ring I get the same response, Elgas will ring you. If you want a reliable trust worthy company I would not recommend Elgas. Show details

 Follow-up  · To this day there has been no follow up from Elgas. I have contacted them on numerous occasions to organise a pick up of their 90kg canister and each time I ring Elgas tell me someone will ring to organise pick up. The canister remains out the front of our property. Elgas you are a disgrace

2025) You send an SMS informing your client the driver will be there in a few minutes and seconds after, the horn goes at the gate. Less than 1 minute later the gate opens and the driver has left already. (February 2026). ELGAS Caboolture what is going on? Get a system please.

 Follow-up  · It is very difficult to contact them since the call center refer you to the dealer in your area. The dealer in your area have only one number and that is the call center.

Absolute appalling service. I would never recommend elgas to anyone. I ordered a bottle of gas recently and it was never delivered, we don't have dogs, we don't have gates, no attempt was made as we have surveillance cameras. I contacted elgas 6 times with either phone or online enquiries with no help. They direct debited the account of $278 for… Read more

a bottle that was never delivered and a year of service fees for the coming year, but we cancelled our elgas account and they wouldn't give us our money back because they say it was delivered but it wasn't. They were so rude to deal with, I said, go check your drivers gps to prove they never came to our house. Even though we have cameras it's our word against there's as we can't prove footage was deleted wich it wasn't. I wanted them to come and see for themselves that our gas bottle was empty but they wouldn't listen or help. They wouldn't get back to our enquiries. It's caused alot of unneeded stress and financial loss because of their stuff up. They still owe us $278 wich we doubt we'll get back. Maybe they need to investigate their drivers as its very suspicious, we aren't the only ones it's happened to in our town. Our next option will be to escalate with the energy ombudsman.

If I could give less than one star I would. I placed and order on the 26th March and was told it would be delivered on the 30th March. We are now out of gas and it's the 1st April. some time. She didn't care that I would have no gas over the whole of Easter. Customer service was very rude and told me I could go to another service provider. So I have taken her advice. I rang another company. Call was answered immediately and I will have a delivery tomorrow. I have been an Elgas customer for 15 years and this experience has left a bad taste. I have decided to go with an Australian owned gas company not a part foreign owned company that doesn't care for their customers. If you have the same issues as ourselves, have a look at Agas. They were very friendly and helpful.

I did get a letter back FINALLY after months of non delivery, incorrect pick ups, no deliveries, late, missing, deliveries called "bad delivery" by phone operator saying could they have my details ...for the love of God they had everything except my Mothers maiden name!! Only 1 star cause I cant give less. What a rip off. Been a customer for 9.5 years and accepted that prices went up. I have been taking delivery of 45kg bottles to my house since living here. My last bill for 1 bottle was $330 odd. I was then talking to a neighbor who received the same delivery etc from Elgas, he paid $150 odd!!!!! I contacted… Read more

Elgas and was advised that the price of gas "fluctuates". My reply "Yeah not to the extent of $180 to a neighbor that lives 200m down the road". I wanted some type of compensation because clearly I have been ripped off for numerous years (I can only access my invoices from April 24 and noticed I was paying around $300 a bottle then). They then offered my cost per bottle in future of $185 and some vouchers for delivery's. Waiting for my super expensive gas to run out then cancelling Elgas account and going to another provider. Steer clear of Elgas.

They keep the service charge hidden then charge a quantity of 4 for as an annual fee. We only have 2 bottles!!! Pretty sure that these bottles can be reused and last decades if treated properly. Easy to find another business that delivers 45kg LPG gas for half the cost of Elgas, who doesn't charge service fees that aren't reimbursable (2mths usage for an annual fee). Elgas offered voucher discounts, but fell short of promise. Do not buy into their overpriced service. Show details
