Euroflex Vapour-M3 SC1D1 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: SC1D1Hi, I have previously had the Monster Steam Booster Classic & Steam Jet Floor Steamer, I was awaiting stock of the M4S but doesn't look like they can get that in here in Australia, is the M3S just as good as the M4S as in the high temperature. I have very glossy tiles and if not hot enough like my previous Euroflex mops then they will leave streaks. Your help would be appreciated.
HI The Vapour- M4S is available in Australia on our website with free shipping external link The models M2R and M3S will only clean the surface of the floor, like your prior model the steam releases automatically when the handle is reclined down.
The M4S is both a floor steam cleaner and a handheld portable steam cleaner in one design. With the extra accessories in the M4S you can clean the grout as well as the surface of the tile, not to mention other surfaces such as kitchens and bathrooms when the M4S is in portable mode. With the M4S the steam is controlled by depressing a button on the steam gun, since the model is used as both a floor cleaner and a portable steam cleaner the steam release is controlled by the used using a button on the steam gun, this is necessary when in portable mode to start and stop the steam output.
All 3 of the above models have the same boiler heat temperature at 130 degrees Celsius and the same steam output at 3.5 bars of pressure.
We hope that helps
How long will it take to get the Euroflex M4S replacement pads back in stock?
You can get the Replacement Pads at other places like Amazon, E-Bay, Harvey Norman or any other outlet that sells the Euroflex Vapour.
Hi there. My Euroflex m3 keeps tripping my power. I’ve never had this problem before with it. I’ve tried different power points and turning off other appliances but it still trips! What would cause this to happen? Cheers
Hi Cozican...on your unit there is a silver sticker with our toll-free Customer Care phone number for ease of reference (1800 663 866). Please call for after sales service.
I have tried two rooms with my brand new M3S and am finding it leaves the floors soaking wet and the boiler ran out of water within 10 minutes of use. Why is it sending out so much steam?
1. I’ve switched out the mop pad. 2. I intentionally under-filled the boiler in the second room. 3. It’s like a fog in the room when I’m mopping. 4. I tried going slower in the second room than the first but it made it worse. 5. The second pad was just as wet even cleaning a small ensuite.
Sorry to hear that. Never ever had a problem with ours. Has always performed consistently perfectly. Suggest you contact the manufacturer while it is still under warranty.
I experienced the same problem, the pad gets damp quickly, (with in two or three minutes), I just change it as soon as it gets wet. I started replacing the pad more frequently. I had to purchase extra pack of three pads. Perhaps using the steam boost trigger sparingly may also help. I use it at a fast pace as going slower doesn't help, unless we have enough pads to replace every two minutes.
hi Kayla The running time should be about 20 minutes. There should be a good volume of steam coming out but not enough to make a room foggy. Make sure the the filling instructions are followed whereby only 600ml of water is used for every refill. For the Antibak solution, it is very powerful germ killer, one squeeze of the trigger is enough to do a 2m by 2m area, therefore squeeze the trigger sparingly. If further assistance is needed please call our Customer Care Line on 1800 66 38 66 the phone number is also on the silver sticker on the product for easy reference.
Thank you for your reply. I do understand how long the run time should be and I actually did not use any antibacterial or the trigger at all. The floors were still wet in spots after an hour even with the blinds open and the sun shining in. I did not overfill the tank either. It’s quite disappointing to have that result. I actually had to go over everything with a micro fibre cloth and it was soaking wet still.
HI Kayla, please call our customer care line for further assistance, what you describe is completely contrary to how our products normally work, floors normally dry within seconds, not an hour. We can trouble shoot if there is anything particular about your unit. The number is on the silver sticker on the product for ease of reference. Much Thanks
Did you turn the power on
Does this cleaner lay flat for lounge and under furniture thanks
Yes, it does lay flat, but may pay you to look up the steamers height dimension beforehand.
Needs around 180mm clearance.
Hi Norma, Euroflex upright steam cleaners are heat-based cleaning products that use a stainless steel boiler to generate superheated vapour-steam that is much drier and hotter than common steam mops (steam mops use a drip feed system to generate steam but the steam is very high in moisture). Euroflex has positioned the boiler and all other electrical mechanisms on the base of the unit, so that the floor supports the boiler, water and mechanisms for ease of use. All the user has to do is to push the unit. With the boiler being at the base, it does have a higher elevation than common steam mops. Common steam mops have the water, heating element and electrical mechanisms in the center of the mop, which we found is harder to maneuver because it is more tiring on the wrist (in our products the floor is used to support the product). However for steam mops the base is lower to the ground but steam mops are unable to produce superheated drier steam. The Vapour-M3 (SC1d1) model you are looking at has a height of 15-16 cm, so you probably can get under things with a clearance of 17-18 cm. For me personally this gets under the bed but not under the lounge. I found for under furniture cleaning it is more necessary to vacuum to remove accumulating loose dirt, dust, pet hair etc, and less necessary to wash the floor because there is no foot traffic under lounges to cause dirt to stick to the floor. Once every 6 months, I'll move the lounge forward and wash the floor under the lounge area just to keep on top of things. Apart from the superheated drier steam, the boiler automatically produces the steam and keeps the floor pad hot for more effective cleaning (hence heat based cleaning as mentioned above). With steam mops you need to push a button to generate the steam but when cold water goes over a heating element it cools down the heating element and you get a lot of wetness in the steam (which customers have found troublesome). So there are are some pros and cons to our upright steam cleaners vs a common steam mop. I guess you have to assess what it is you really want in a floor cleaner. I hope that helps. Feel free to contact our customer care line for any further questions on 1800 66 38 66 (toll free call)
Alternatively, our Vapour-M6S barrel model is more like a vac cum cleaner design, you can wheel it around like a barrel vacuum cleaner. The M6S model will allow the floor brush to get under furniture like a vaccum cleaner floor brush.
is it cordless
No, not cordless, thank goodness. Every cordless appliance I have purchased has been short lived!
Cord isn't long enough, we use a fairly long extension lead to get around the house without constantly unplugging.
Hi Wallace , Euroflex products are heat based cleaners that use a built-in stainless steel boiler to elevate the water temperature in the boiler to super-heating range (130 degrees C). This super-heating process produces a hotter drier steam output (more like a vapour) for more effective cleaning results and quick drying floors. So the Euroflex products need a constant energy source to perform its super-heating function. Batteries and cordless is not effective for Euroflex products. However Euroflex products are both energy and water efficient.
I live in south-east Queensland postcode 4505. Can you tell me who your local agents for the euroflex M3sc1D1 is please. If this model is no longer produced, can you advise my next choice. Many thanks, Bim
HI Len H, the model Vapour-M3 (SC1d1) is a current model. Euroflex uses a national service centre so that it services its own brand of products. In the first instance it is recommended to call our Customer Care Line on 1800 66 38 66. For ease of reference this number is on the silver sticker on top of the steam cleaner, you can call us anytime Mon-Fri. We can trouble shoot over the phone any issue that you may be having and then recommend what the next step may be based on the trouble shooting results.
Hi, my Vapour M3 no longer gets green light and is releasing some steam when in fully upright position. The steamer is otherwise working fine. Just requires more frequent refills.
Hi Zoran R, please call our Customer Service Line on 1800 66 38 66 and we can Trouble Shoot with you over the phone to try to resolve the issue or determine another course of action. For future reference the above number is conveniently found on the silver sticker on the unit itself. Much Thanks
We have 100 sq metres of tiles downstairs, would this model be suitable, or is a barrel version better for large areas (M6s model)
Hi Steve, it is just a question of the number of refills and product features to take into account. My place is 40sqm of laminate flooring and I can get away with just one tank full of 600ml with the Vapour-M3 model. For your place you will need 1 or 2 additional tank fulls to clean 100sqm. Refilling involves pouring 600ml of water into the boiler (the instructions say to cool down the very hot boiler for 5 minutes but as long as you pour the water slowly into the heated boiler you can refill immediately) and then allowing 2-3 minutes of reheating time on the M3 model. With the M3 unit being an upright steam cleaner that is dedicated to washing floors, you push and pull the whole unit back and forth, so we restricted the boiler capacity to 600ml only so that the unit did not become too heavy for the average user. The more water capacity the heavier the unit.
For the Vapour-M6s model, it is a barrel model that holds 1200ml (double the amount of the M3 unit). So you can probably just squeeze in one tank full to do 100sqm. With the barrel steam cleaner, the water is housed in the unit that is wheeled around the house while cleaning, so it was made to hold more water because the water is simply wheeled around behind you in the barrel. With a barrel design, the steam travels through the hose and down the extension tubes, somewhat resembling a barrel vacuum cleaner design.
One thing I like to ask customers who have tiles is so they want to clean the grout in between the tiles too. If you have used a mop and bucket over the years, you will be amazed at the amount of dirt that has settled into the grout. The M6s unit has a dedicated tile grout brush (not found in the M3). I will say , it is a labour intensive exercise of cleaning tile grout (because there is a lot of it), but if you do a couple of square meters every week while floor cleaning, then once it is done it is simply maintenance. The tile grout is a narrow area that requires the use of tile grout brush on the end of the Detail Nozzle tool and the high pressure simply blasts the dirt out of the narrow grout (and then you use an old towel to soak up the dirt and moisture). If you call our office (1800 66 38 66) and leave your number or email, I can send you a photo of the difference clean grout makes to the look of the floor.
I hope that helps and thank you for considering a Euroflex product in your purchasing decision.
How long do pads last, how many do you get with new mop & how much are they to replace?
2 came with the mop. I have only just replaced mine for the first time were still working fine just looking a bit dirty!! Pack of 3 i think was $50-$60 ?
Thank you
Do you need to hold down any trigger to operate the steam mop or to release the steam
Hi no trigger for it to steam you. It will steam as soon as you pull the handle down from vertically upright. If you want to release a squirt of the antibacterial spray you do need to pull a trigger for a second. I don't do this much and you can buy the cheaper model minus the antibacterial spray option if you like
Many thanks that is very helpful
This mop is only 1200 watts. How hot can that possibly get?
Very, very hot. The steam will burn your feet if Very close to the steam and no shoes on
Black and Decker is 1600 watts. Seems too low to be effective.
Hi Siner, in the way of providing some explanation, this model is an upright steam cleaner compared to other models which are a steam mop. As an upright steam cleaner, it uses a steam generator (also called a boiler) to produce the steam. Water goes into the boiler to superheat the water to 130 degrees C, the superheating process dries out most of the moisture out of the steam to produce a steam that has a higher proportion of heat and a lower proportion of moisture. The lower moisture means that the floors are not soaked with water and floors dry fast before water marks or streaking can occur. This is ideal for water sensitive floors such as timber and laminates. The higher heat means that more heat is present at the bottom of the pad, to help soften and dislodge dirt (heat softens dirt and grime to make it more easily removeable). The boiler continues to make steam automatically until the water runs out, so that there is a constant supply of steam, and the boiler keeps the steam hot and dry during the process. The 1200watts is used to indicate how strong the heating element is to get the water to 130 degrees C in the boiler.
Steam mops on the other hand use a "drip feed" method to generate steam. Water goes into a plastic container and the mop is turned on so that the heating element or the heating block heats (say at 1600watts in the case of Black and Decker). Upon pushing a trigger water is "drip fed" from the plastic tank to the heating element and the water is converted into steam and it is pumped to the pad. Steam is made at the point of contact of water and the heating element, sometimes the steam can be said to contain too much moisture with this method of steam generation. Users generally want lots of steam, but by pushing the trigger too often can result in too much water hitting the heating element and it cannot convert the water into steam fast enough and floors that are too wet can result. If the trigger is pushed less often then there is no steam made and the pad gets cold, (which is less effective at removing dirt and grime). This drip feed method is similar to how a steam iron works for clothes ironing.
There are pros and cons to a steam mop versus an upright steam cleaner (Euroflex models are the only ones that are an upright steam cleaner). Which is best for you might depend on how you like to clean (quick or deep cleaning), floor types (if water sensitive or they steak), how big is the floor area/house that you are cleaning, how often you clean, budget.
I hope that helps to explain the different steam generation methods and to clarify that the watts are used to determine the power of the heating element rather than how hot the steam may be.
HI Euroflex. Thank you for your explanation. The B & D is not a trigger operated steam mop. The house is big enough and I only steam clean once a month.
Hi looking to purchase a steam mop. Question does it clean the grout on a tiled floor.????
Hi I have been using this euroflex blue steam mop for about 3 years,, never had any issues. It cleans the tiles beautifully in fact grout as well. Of course with grout - not so deeply as none of the mops can reach grout if the grout is too deep between tiles. But overall very satisfied with this mop. It's excellent. My complete house is tiled and this mop works like miracle on tiles specially with it's AntiBak solution. Wow results everytime:)
Thankyou this has helped. Karenn.
Hey there , I’ve had my mop 2 years i loved it however it just caught on fire how long is the warranty ? Thanks Erin
