Happy Exetel customer – I have been with exetel for more than 4 years. Initially was on Opticomm link(Vic) and now on NBN(NSW). Apart from the provider maintenance/outage (like NBN or Opticomm); I haven't had any unscheduled outage from Exetel. Any scheduled outage of few mins they have, Exetel always informs me in advance via email and SMS. I am pretty happy with them and don't think will ever switch elsewhere. Show details · 1

BUYER BEWARE – To start, the people in the help centre and accounts are very pleasant and empathetic so this review is in no way a reflection of the team members... but the business itself is disgraceful. out, and for the dozens of hours I wasted, after paying upfront for the service, I was credited a small portion of the month back for the downtime. After expressing my disappointment, I was escalated and given the "We'll get back to you" line 3 different occasions and never had a return call or outstanding amount credit. We're only talking $33, it's an insignificant amount, but the principle here is clear. constant run around and no follow up. $33 is a VERY cheap way to buy customer loyalty. Then there was the price increase to the monthly plan. "We sent you an email" they said. No email came. So escalated to the Retention Team... he said he wouldn't credit the $33 but he'd offer me a $4/month discount for 12 months. Again, thanks mate, but there's NO way I'm locking in with you for 12 months after this experience. This was a $30 altercation that could have been handled with grace and poise... instead it was loaded with frustration, hours and hours lost, and a disgusting customer experience that finds me taking up even more of my time to write this review. Hoping that it saves you from making the mistake of going with this penny pinching company. Haven't even mentioned the innumerable drop-outs and frozen zoom calls... b ut my 10,000 words is just about used up. BUYER BEWARE

This annoying company continued to send me a bill after I had told them I cancelled on a call. They said their team tried to call me back but because I hadn’t answered they didn’t cancel it. Then they said I hadn’t to wait another month because I was only cancelled now, then they checked their records and found out I had called the month before.… Read more
They then sent me the cancellation email. Then they continued to take the payment and now I’ve had to be on the phone to the bank to get the money back because their customer service isn’t available.
Go with literally any other company.

Spent 4 hours this morning, trying to get my Internet connection working. Turned out that Exetel had changed my connection type (from PPP/PPPoE to IP) without notifying me. They were good, and I was a loyal customer for 3 years. No dropouts, prompt notice on issues and good support. But - in recent months the service quality has degraded, they increased prices and dropped previously included functions like having a public IP without notice (instead forcing you behind CGNAT) and have far worse customer support. requested assistance twice to remove the CGNAT but with the polite response "sorry to inconvenience you". Well, they are now inconvenienced with a lost customer. And I'm not sorry.

Everything with Exetel was great and I used them as my Internet provider for about 3.5 years through two moves. Easy setup and allowed me to bring my own modem. Speed were consistently as advertised, 95-100 down, 40 up. Costs were online with other providers and were quite good on a six month promotion. Show details

I needed to cancel my service and Senith was able to help me quickly and easily. We did not cancel due to any issues with Exetel, in fact Exetel was great. The NBN lines are shocking, not working in poor weather. We moved to Starlink. Would use Exetel again. Thanks Senith! Show details · 1

copper cabling that was installed in the 1990s. anyway, to Rashmika - asked questions to help ascertain the presenting issue, did suitable tests (and warned me before that there would be a disruption to service), waited patiently for when the service returned. all in all, exactly the kind of service I have experienced with exetel support over the past couple of decades. skilled, knowledgeable, patient, and all 'round great experience. thank you!

Internet Service was reasonable however they are an Incredibly difficult company to deal with. Customer Service is non existent. signed up to. Rather then changing the plan they forced me to cancel my existing service and resign up under a new customer number - all of which had to be done through their clunky website. I was then charged an additional month on my old service as a penalty for cancelling. Meaning I was $90 out of pocket to get the cheaper plan. Unethical practice if you ask me. was the the amount for the month. and they believe after cancelling i still owed them money. im discussed with there level of service and incompetence of not forfilling their due delligence. literally the worse ISP ive ever seen. went back to More NBN partnered with CBA for a 30% discount and their internet service and customer service is second to none, never have I faulted them. It begs why an ISP is on the market fraudlently collecting money from consumers for a service if not reputable.

Look Elsewhere, Terrible Service, Difficult To Port Out or Cancel Service – Firstly they will give you discount like any other NBN provider to get your business. I understand the price would go up to non promotional price after the 6 months they offer reduced price but not in my case. account portal to cancel my subsription so I can switch and this network provider had no option to cancel your plan via account portal, so I sent them an email to cancel my subsription. I received a voicemail while I was at work and then an email that they want tme to callback their 13 number if i wish to cancel and my support ticket was closed because I couldn't answer their call.
I cannot imagine a technology provider with such backward technology in their account portal that consumer has to rely on phone calls and be on hold during work hours and experience such bad service level where a ticket is closed if they cannot reach out to customer's phone
