The website was easy to use and I liked the competitive pricing it provided. countries (currently Nepal) were such that you needed to 'reconsider your need to travel'. That didn't leave many left...but Fast Cover was one of that very small group. It was more than I expected to pay, but...they're covering everything I need. And their agent - Kavyansh, who I dealt with via their web chat and email, was extremely helpful.

Not helpful after policy purchase – After reading through the reviews it is clear the positive ones are from people who have simply purchased the policy and not had to make any changes or claims (which make sense considering the day you buy it they email you to post a review). experience whilst travelling was less than satisfactory.

Firstly, I made a quick decision to go to a destination that I was unsure whether it was covered in my policy or how to update the policy to include it. I reached out to Fast Cover, and they took over a week to respond to my request even though their response times were same day before I had purchased the policy. This led me to buy an additional policy with another company to ensure I was covered.

The next issue came when making a claim, my flight was cancelled and I was not able to fly for 3 days. This meant I was stuck and had to pay for 3 nights worth of accomodation that I was not anticipating. Seemed pretty straightforward to me, the issue was "unforeseeable" due to an entire airport being shutdown unexpectedly, but due to strict policy wording Fast Cover refused to pay these expenses. Not to mention, it took 2 MONTHS for them to tell my this, with me following up multiple times just to be told "its under team leader review".

Considering I paid for over a years worth of insurance and Fast Cover could not provide basic support or cover a simple claim I would not recommend to anyone.

Straightforward and easy – Simple and straightforward system which provided all of the information for choosing our travel insurance. The excellent reviews made this an easy choice to purchase this policy - we have not traveled yet and therefore cannot make a comment on the claims process. looking for price based policy – Price was competitive and offered me what i sought. Im only cruising for a week in Australia so my needs were not overseas based. Do Not Go with Fastcover Insurance they only paid us 25% of our tickets when we cancelled due to illness – Worst Travel insurance Company! Email below is what I sent Fastcover Insurance after decision. The total amount they refunded was $957, our tickets cost a little over 4,000 total! We are out of pocket! and upset that I am only going to receive a pittance of what we paid for the trip and this is not even including the accommodation as yet. I saw on my policy that it covered up to $25,0000 for cancellations. I am not even claiming anywhere near that amount. We take out travel insurance in good faith to ensure our trip which took us a whole year to save up for that if anything unforseen happens we are covered. Typical bloody insurance company when people have said it's like getting blood out of a stone!!!!This is very upsetting especially for my son who has a disability. We still managed to save for our dream holiday to Srilanka to viisit our relatives and sightsee where we grew up. Shame on you FAST COVER for not giving us the full reimbursement.

How absolutely disgusting that you have not even given us the refund for the airfares which were around $2000 each.

How can you do this to customers. My claim was not even a huge amount. I did everything that was requested by me from [Name Removed] including my mums medical notes from the doctor as well as the doctor filling out a form which I had to pay the doctor for completing the Form so I am out of pocket there as well. Submitted every single document that was required of me. You also failed to pay for the expenses eg purchase of suitcase and sim cards, presents with bought for relatives and the only other expense you paid tiny portion of our Visa for one person.

I ask you to kindly look at our claim and have some sort of compassion and empathy for us. We were so looking forward to going to Srilanka especially to see my dads only 2 sisters and cousins who are still living. I have not been back to Sri Lanka to visit relatives in 53 years (Since coming to Australia as a chidl) My dad passed away so it was even more special to want to catch up with his only living sisters. It was unfortunate that mum caught a virus and ended up having fluid in her lungs. My mum and her husband were fully refunded for their expenses from whoever they were insured with so why can't you reimburse us for such a small amount !!!
