zero experience delivering to inner city areas with narrow, one way streets.
The first delivery drivers cancelled the order and refused to deliver the items, as they "Won't carry it down the street 100 metres." I emailed the store manager and didn't even get a response and when I called they were not very helpful. I was promised another delivery driver with a smaller truck. But when they arrived, it was the same sized truck, that again stated they usually cancel the order if they can't park in front of the property. They delivered the items, but again had issues with parking and said they couldn't assemble it and that I should save the money and do it myself.
The products are good but I would avoid paying for their delivery service and organise delivery yourself or with airtasker.
Follow-up · I purchased a mattress, head board and base. Assembly, luckily was simple, but doing it by myself probably took longer than necessary. Instructions were easy to follow. The mattress is heavy and large and needs 2 people to move.

We purchased a dining table from Focus on Furniture after viewing the display model in store. Unfortunately, the table that was delivered to us looked nothing like the one we purchased. The delivered product has a dull, uniform, almost laminate-like finish, completely lacking the warmth, depth and natural grain of the display model. When we… Read more
raised this with the warranty team, we were told that it was simply “natural variation” in the product. However, the difference is not a minor variation — it is a clear mismatch that no reasonable customer would expect when buying based on a display.
We provided multiple photos at their request, showing the difference, yet our concerns were dismissed. We even revisited the store and confirmed that there was no disclosure on or near the display table warning of possible colour/pattern variations (though we did find such a disclosure on another hardwood product). This means we were not adequately informed at the time of purchase.
We also have footage, taken with permission from their sales staff, where it was stated on record that if there was a significant difference in colour, the table would be exchanged. Despite this, Focus on Furniture has refused to resolve the matter.
We have sought advice from Consumer Affairs Victoria and the ACCC, both of whom confirmed that this issue falls under consumer guarantees. We are now being forced to consider escalating the matter to VCAT, which is stressful, costly and completely unnecessary.
Overall, we feel very disappointed and let down. Instead of being looked after as valued customers, we have been given excuses and left with a product that does not match what was promised in store. Future customers deserve to be aware of this experience.

Originally went to Focus on Furniture Nunawading store and ordered a buffet. Later saw online a matching coffee table so ordered that. Later saw a matching entertainment unit so ordered that as well. lounge for another, which we did via your Nunawading store. Michelle was incredibly helpful by printing out all the relevant information we needed, to help us choose another lounge. Upon making a decision, your customer service team kept us informed on when stock was arriving, and organized delivery times. Today both Jacob & Altay delivered our new couch, and took back the old one. Both men were polite, very friendly and professional. They assembled the new couch, placed it where I wanted it, and took all rubbish with them. Overall I would & have recommended Focus on furniture to family & friends. date. The only thing that was slightly frustrating was the sale deals seemed to be a bit misleading and the complicated way the invoices work when you get a bundle deal. To explain the situation, we visited the store before we were ready to buy to get some inspiration. We found a few items that we liked and the sales staff gave us a great deal which was lower than the advertised price. We went back a month later to place our order and noticed they had a Big Summer Deals event where you got $100 off every $1000 you spent. This was great, however, the RRP had been increased to a higher price than it was the first time we visited and applying the Summer deal meant that it brought it down to the exact price the RRP was previously. We assumed since the offer we received from the sales member was cheaper than this price, we would be able to still get this cheaper price, however they said they were unable to match this deal anymore. We tried to negotiate a slightly better deal as we were also purchasing a bunch of extra products, but there was no room for movement. After receiving our delivery, we went into the store to make our final payment and we noticed that the couch was now advertised for cheaper than we paid (including our special deal). Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with our purchases and all products look amazing (except for a small stain that was on the ottoman when delivered which we are currently sorting out), I just recommend if you are in no rush to buy, check prices regularly and see if the price drops, then make your move.
Not what we expected – We were walking around the Home Maker Centre at Nunawading and came across a couple of beautiful coffee tables with a sign that they were from Focus On Furniture. But the man then talked about our room size where it would go, and he recommended the same version with a round table top. Wow!! Talk about gorgeous! Just as my husband was paying, I was looking around and screamed out "buffet side table too"!! And we purchased that as well. We love the furniture, the packaging it came in - there were no flaws. Now we need chairs. We came back in the other day, and there are some fantastic ones, but we haven't decided on a colour for the walls yet, so when we do, we'll be back in for another look. Sales person was very friendly and efficient despite being very busy. We purchased some dining chairs and picked up from the warehouse later in the week. Chairs were easy to assemble and great so far. Salesman took pride in saying that Focus On mattresses are built for same experience for years but unfortunately it's a fake claim. Make sure you do your research before you buy mattresses from Focuson. Not recommended.

furniture are well-suited to my new home. The sales agent, Charlotte, at the Nunawading store was patient as I tried virtually all of the dining room chairs to make sure that they not only looked good and matched the dining room table I chose, but were comfortable. Same with the bar stools. My new home is in a fairly remote area, but delivery was no problem. I opted for the package deal of delivery, installation, and removal of packing materials. As a person of a certain age and moving into a down-sized community, it was important that the delivery was on time and that I was not left with making arrangements for installation and packing material removal. Focus came through on all counts. I highly recommend Focus, which my sister took seriously and has purchased new dining room chairs to replace well-worn ones.

From the help in store as I flip flopped between all the beautiful couch options, to giving advice over the phone on colours and cleaning products and also giving a cheeky discount - the experience was easy, stress-free and rewarding! our new couch online (the Venetian in dim grey) as it was after trading hours, which was a really easy checkout, we were notified quickly about our purchase and delivery times, within a week and a half our new couch arrived. We absolutely love our new couch, it was easy to put together and super comfy, husband even gave it a ‘nap test’ and it passed with flying colours, a family of 4 can fit with lots of room to spare, the headrests are awesome and work well.
Absolutely in love with the Como 3 seater sofa! Shopped at many different stores, and nothing came close for this quality, style, comfort and price! Bedframe snapped after 2 years – purchased a bed frame only to find it snapped on the right side 2 years later. Very impressed – My initial experience in store was great staff were amazing and very helpful. My delivery did not go to plan and had to be rescheduled due to an unforeseen truck breakdown.
