Very disappointed with the service. A long story but you need to read to the end. We waited a long time to get a new mattress. colour blue and my wife colour green. We decided on the MySide as it split what was best for myself and my wife to have what suited us based on the colours we were given. Later we realised that the BedMatch system with the colours is designed to push you towards the MySide brand.
After we received our bed as soon as I lay on it it did not feel right. It was very soft and too cushiony. After a couple of days my back was in the worst pain Ive ever experienced. In the first week I was just standing and I slightly moved and my back locked up and I could not move at all without excruciating pain. I could hardly move for a couple weeks as well as going to get treatment at the physio. I stopped sleeping on the mattress.
I rang Forty Winks and I was told I had to give the mattress 3 months to settle and for my back to get used to it. I stressed how much pain I was in and demanded to have someone check my mattress. I was told to come in to the store. We went in to the store and they told me they would let MySide know and they would contact me. It was a complete waste of time me traveling to the store just to be told they would notify MySide and I had to wait to be contacted.
After a few days I received an email from MySide. I was given a whole list of tasks and instructions including measuring the sag in the mattress and many pictures requested. I also had to take the mattress off the bed and sleep on it for 3 days on the ground. I had not slept on it since my back was injured. After doing everything as I was told I emailed all the results, forms and measurements. I was told that they would get back to me. After seeing the results a representative was suppose to contact me. I waited several weeks and heard nothing. I inquired again and was told that the representative had already been to Adelaide and I would have to wait for his next trip.
Eventually when the rep came out he immediately identified that the bed had a problem and was faulty. I asked if he would replace the mattress new but he said they would fix it. I received the fixed mattress 4 months after my original purchase. It was no different. I gave it 3 nights then could not sleep on it unless I slept in the middle of the bed. I complained again and eventually was given the option to chose a different mattress.
I went to 3 different Forty Winks stores trying and testing different mattresses. I really wanted to make sure it was the right one as I didn’t want to go through this again. We found 2 that we were confident to change to. The problem was one was $1000 less and the other was $1300 more. We were told that if we got the one that was less we would have to give up the extra $1000 and it would be lost with no part refund or credit given. We really didn’t want to spend another $1300 and it wasnt fair to lose $1000 of value.
The truth is we wanted to be looked after. At no point during this whole process did we feel that Forty Winks cared about us, my back or our sleep. It was just about selling a product and when we complained it was like we were the problem and we didn’t suit the mattress or we didn’t give it a chance or we are just complaining. If they exchanged the cheaper mattress with a part credit or refund we would have done it. If they gave a further discount on the more expensive mattress we would have bought it. After everything we had gone through with my back pain and physio costs. Months of not sleeping in my own bed, time, effort and energy dealing with this process and nothing but blame. The service was terrible. In the end I had enough and through Consumer Business Affairs I was entitled to a full refund due to the bed being faulty. They always made me feel like I was just changing my mind. When they conceded and agreed to give back the refund they refused to give back the delivery fee. So after all this I not only went through a lot of pain I was out of pocket due to a faulty product and a poorly built one. I would not recommend MySide at all. Also dont ever buy a mattress at Forty Winks unless its 50% off. They do these sales for about 4 months of the year so just wait until then.

their technology, we were shown a few different mattress at different price points, and clearly explained about the features, warranty, and availabilities of them so we could make an informed choice quickly, but she was never pushy. We were guided to the perfect pillow to pair with the mattress and be supportive enough, especially for neck and shoulder support which were our concerns. We were eager to get it on the go as soon as possible, so Louise facilitated the process very swiftly, with a lot of knowledge, which we were happy about. Bonus that the products were on sale too for their 40 year anniversary (although we know that there is often a sale or offer happening at bed stores).
The delivery service was also timely, friendly and clean – clear communication about the time expectations which was very helpful, and completed quickly too. Couldn't ask for more, and couldn't commend Louise enough for her customer care, and the delivery team for their service.
Overall, from walking into the store and being greeted immediately to promptly setting up the new bed, it was a smooth and straightforward process that we were very grateful for. The bed and pillow has been perfect so far – can already feel the massive different after a few weeks from being in a supportive bed.
Would recommend them again and will likely be back to finally find the perfect pillow for others in the household.

My mattress dips extremely to the point I will need to purchase a new one. I put in a warranty claim with Forty Winks and when I finally got a call back the contact didn’t even want to send someone out to inspect my mattress as it seemed to be normal to have huge body impressions in our thousands of dollars mattress. When someone finally came out my options were to give them the mattress and take the memory foam out. With the guarantee the comfort wouldn’t be the same. I’m not sure if anyone in their right mind would take up that option.
After I expressed that I was not happy with that option, he then proceeded to say he was guided by what I wanted. To which I said a new mattress. This was not an option for him. He used the analogy that if a car’s engine stopped working it doesn’t mean you get a new car, well you absolutely do if it’s only 3 months old. It’s clearly a fault.
I am so disappointed in the way I was not only treated but the option presented to me as well as the clear fault and poor quality of this expensive product.
Forty Winks have ignored me on multiple occasions to get this sorted.
Because of this I would advise to never purchase from Forty Winks as they do not honour their warranty. We will never purchase another mattress through Forty Winks/AH Beard.
I wish I had read the reviews here before shopping there! I have told everyone I know to go elsewhere - nobody can believe the situation...

excellent. This was our 3rd experience with Forty Winks and each time we have been more than pleased with the results. We had originally bought a King Size mattress several years ago and since new beds for our second residence. Two beds with their bedside cabinets, along with a chest of drawers and that these were delivered quite some time ago however we held back on the mattress delivery much due to our home renovations the beds etc. remained unused. When the mattress delivery was made last Wednesday the two very obliging delivery staff not just delivered the mattress upstairs but also unpacked the various previously purchased bedroom furniture that was still in storage downstairs. In a flash they carried them upstairs and very neatly created for us a fully furnished bedrooms. They even remembered to bring the mattress protector which was a last minute purchase, and took away all the empty boxes, Brilliant! We were so grateful, that they did this for us, as there was no way that we could have achieved this ourselves. Not only were they extremely efficient in their task but neat, polite and ever so friendly and now we we've been sleeping extremely well. Pity we have run out of bedrooms or we would see a whole lot more of Lisa & David! Oh! if only all the stores in South Australia could offer the same service like Forty Winks then South Australia would the most amazing place to live. Again, Lisa and David many thanks.

After working out where he would place the bed and the size of his room he decided on a mattress again Louise listened to him and showed him different softnesses, after he tried a few it was determined the one he liked the best gave him the biggest smile with the extra comfort and support it would bring. This store is nice and open a good selection to see and try of both beds and mattresses. Was even more impressed the mattress was made in Adelaide so local. Just organising delivery as we live out of town but can’t wait.

next 90 mins was spent trying to successfully process my transaction. This was no fault of Dylan’s, who was now supporting the sale, or Maggie my original salesperson, HUMM is just not a platform for BNPL I would recommend - it was a complicated, repetitive and time consuming exercise to finalise payment. She was able to offer us a extended order which suited us as we are building a new home. We proceeded to order our new mattress very happily in the knowledge that we have until the end of January to pay for it and have it delivered direct to our new home. I would recommend anyone shopping at the Munno Para store to seek out Sonia she was absolutely fantastic.

OK till you want warranty – we bought a Tuscany Plush Mattress on the recommendation of Staff as I have spinal problem. We hadn't had it long and were falling to one side and feeling like sleeping in a hole. and had Rep out who told me it is fine and to sell it to a friend as not meant for someone with back issues.Bit contradictory to staff who sold it to us. and of course he said we could give them more money to fill it after spending a lot of money to say I am disgusted is an understatement and he couldn't guarantee it would change my issue blaming my back. I guess once you buy from them and they have your money you are on your own and the warranty is not worth anything.
Bad Service – I have seen the forty winks up size sale on TV. I arrived at the Forty Winks store in Mount Gambier today 17/11/2016 at 091o, to find that the store had not opened. at 0930 the store was still not open. It eventually opened at 0950. The store was being vacuumed and the lady doing this clearly saw me enter . I then spent 10 minutes wandering around the store, there was no sales person evident apart from [name removed] ( [name removed] later told me his name), who was sitting behind glass windows.
I eventually went to the windows to attract his attention. He was apologetic and said he had been doing paper work and didn't see me. He then showed and explained the type of mattress I was interested in. I said that I would check my mattress base to see if it was adequate for the bed. As I was leaving the lady/saleswoman that had been vacuuming said she was sorry, but didn't see me. This is very very poor service, the store was meant to open at 0900, but did not until 0945, and the staff were cleaning it as I arrived. I will definitely not recommend this store. Opening hours should be as stated and customers should not see staff cleaning. Staff should be on the floor to assist customers, this was not done. I then went to another mattress/bedding store in Mount Gambier and purchased a Mattress. Big sales loss to Forty Winks. Pick up your game.

delivery date, I was also told I would be receiving a text message the day before with the time frame of my delivery. I never received any text message, they booked me in for mid of my working day and because I didn't call to change after "receiving text message", there was nothing they could do; as I agreed with delivery time.

This is still not as firm as I'd like, but I hate Aussie mattresses, they are mushy junk, as a rule. This mattress is Chinese manufactured, I think, and we are really happy - no more sore back and neck, and we don't disturb each other with movement. We are both snoring less, as well.
We've had this 6 months, and it's still like the day we bought it. I was glad the lady showed us... she said the other Silent Partner models weren't as hard, and I found that true when I tested them.
So her advice was good! We were laughing, as she said that the customers who came looking for harder beds had usually lived in Asia - we had just been to Japan, where the extra hard mattresses were brilliant! I used to sleep on the floor when I shared a student 'house' with a bunch of Japanese students... It must have just been good for my back, plus I remember my Mum always choosing hard mattresses for our house. And I find that sitting erect is better too, I don't know how people slouch into lounge chairs - my back starts hurting!
I'm glad she helped us, as I was considering importing a Japanese bed (not a futon, though they are good), and the cost would have been astronomical.
Wonderful follow up review – We bought a King Koll mattress and bed base (order to make) from Mile end branch. The total height was high due to the leg supports for bed base. The boss was supportive and helped cutting the leg supports and the issue resolved within a week. The price of products were good too! Good deal.
