Multiple calls to Freedom and spoke to Robert (who was lovely) but they have no idea where my furniture is and consequently no idea when it will be delivered. We offered to pick it up but they can't let us do that because they have no idea where it is! Shocking customer service. Why take customers money when they KNOW they can't supply the product!! They screw up then tried to charge us a 20% cancellation fee!! – Bought a console table, was told it was in stock and would be available in a few days. A few days came and went so we called to see where it was. Was told by unitrax that it wasn’t on the system so we went back to the store. The audacity of screwing up and then trying to make us pay for it!! We have spent so much money at freedom over the years and never had anything last or good service. that my table was in quarantine( surely this can't take 3 weeks) and then that there is a problem with the computer system. I also had to pay full price upfront and am now sorry that i ever placed my order. Only wish i had read these reviews beforehand, but Freedom was recommended by a friend who placed an order many years ago. Things have obviously changed considerably since then, and based on my bad and ongoing experience i would never recommend buying furniture from Freedom. Just made another 300 km round trip to my nearest store for an update on my order, because no one from Melbourne called me back within 48 hours as promised last Saturday. I had decided beforehand to cancel my order and the staff were happy to do this. I explained why i wished to cancel and said that after reading reviews where so many other customers were having the same problems, one staff member laughed and stated"people are always quick to post negative comments". I was completely stunned that she would think this situation was amusing. The manager was very sorry and promised yet again that i would receive an order update next week. I have given them the benefit of the doubt and will wait one more week before i cancel my order. I am not hopeful.

Longest delivery in the history of time! – Ordered a lounge suite on the 7th of October and based the order on the fact that it was in stock. We are still awaiting delivery of the lounge 6 weeks later as their computer system upgrade is apparently not fixed yet. Faulty sofa – Purchased a sofa and on just over a week it had frayed and a hole had appeared. Also a section of the sofa was really rough compared to the rest of the panels, clearly fabric was sewn upside down. I have had someone review my couch and was told I would hear from freedom with a solution within 10 days, that was three weeks ago. Again I contacted them 5 days ago and still had not heard back. Paid $1200 to get left with furniture too heavy for me – Purchased online. Rang store to organise delivery for a particular weekend. Weekend came and went with no contact. so heavy, so after paying $1200 I'm left with a massive cardboard box split open in my dining area, Styrofoam everywhere and a display cabinet laying on the floor until I can find someone to help lift it and put legs on it.
I've also purchased a couch from Freedom that I'm now dreading being delivered as it will also likely be delivered in a massive box in pieces that I'm supposed to assemble.
If I thought I had to put things together I'd buy something from Ikea for cheaper.
