later that he had cracked three roof tiles in the process causing a leaking roof. He didn’t turn the water for the cooling system back on so for the first week we had hot air blowing into the house until we checked it ourselves to see what was going on. He also left all the old filter material on our back lawn. I wouldn’t recommend their services.

I had a major mold problem in my ducting system after I bought an old property. Fresh duct team services was absolutely amazing! after 2 disappointed services i received that didn’t work out- Fresh duct solved my mold issue. Definitely recommend!

Same experience as most users on here. After you accept the quote, they arrive and start looking for other issues to sell you more services. Scam company. They are not technicians. They are just cleaners using sponges and brushes and then charging $880.

Nate did a great deep clean of our fire place. Very friendly and easy to deal with. The service was booked the day before and done the next day. Would highly recommend!

Completely waste of money. One guy turned up late at my house covered with dust and a filthy machine. The company relied mainly on negative-pressure vacuuming and did not deploy rotary brush/air-whip tools. As a result, there weren’t many dust clumps left, but the duct walls still show residual fine dust, especially along the grooves and joints. They had called me but didn’t leave a message so there was nothing to indicate someone needed to speak to me. Then they came without the right equipment, no safety precautions and did 1/3 of the job and charged me for it and said they’ll be back. They ignored my calls and messages for two weeks and finally said they can’t do the job. Now I have to find someone to do the remainder of the job which is going to cost extra. It’s bad enough they did a bad job but the lying makes it worse.

$500, then I didn’t agree he further reduced his price to $400. He said tried to justify the price by showing me a photo of the flue. He opened the photos in his phone and there were a stack of photos of the inside of my house, unrelated to the fireplace.

the most nonsense thing I’ve heard come out of anyone’s mouth.. I refused.. and the man told me that he will need his ‘99 dollar inspection fee’ We settled on 400 and he spent an hour cleaning and still tried to scam more money out of me at the end. Waste of time don’t call this service.

Don't think they know how to clean...avoid – Used them in Sydney. Very unprofessional and pushing extra cleaning service. What was quoted was basic and did not even clean much. Just used a basic $2 brush for 2 mins and said it is $150 additional fee. I refused to pay it and just paid for initial quote and made sure they left. Don't hire..waste of money.

Offered a quote, then they tried to upsell me – This is a SCAM. I can’t believe people are still falling for this. They cold called and booked a clean. The ‘technician’ arrived late, had no air conditioning qualifications, no public liability insurance, and wanted to up sell me on the original price. I told them to leave. AVOID THESE CROOKS.

What is agreed changes and then they upsell to include – Be careful with them. They pressure sell you a service. Once you agree to the price and the included service it all seems good. However when the service gets provided, then suddenly items you understood that would be included in the agreed price is not included and it will cost extra. Be very careful when dealing with them. I should have read the reviews in here, because it is exactly what I experienced. I cut my losses and cancelled everything.

$500. It’s amazing how easily they can discount the price, almost as if the service isn’t worth what they initially claimed.

I asked what the original $169 clean included. He said it covered only the first metre of the flue cleaning. This was not explained to me when I made the booking. Who wants only 1 metre of their chimney cleaned?

I asked him to leave, as I was alone and pregnant, and having a man in the house pressuring me for $500 was very uncomfortable.

He then said I needed to make a $99 bank transfer for the call-out fee. Again, this was another undisclosed cost I hadn’t agreed to prior to the booking.

I requested an invoice detailing the $99 charge before considering payment. No invoice has been sent, which indicates they are not genuine.

Avoid this service at all costs. It’s a ploy to get into your home and pressure you into paying more than the service is worth.

Please note that many of the five-star Google reviews are from users with only one review, which is often a sign of review manipulation. Many of these reviews don’t sound like genuine customer feedback either.

I’ve noticed this company advertises heavily on social media, which seems to be a tactic to pressure-sell you when they're in front of you.

They used typical high-pressure sales tactics: initially charming and inflating the 'service', then delivering the 'bad news' of a chimney 'ready to explode' (a very overdramatic claim). They instantly discounted the price when I declined (another typical sales tactic to make you feel you’re getting a deal), then tried to use a sunk-cost fallacy by saying, 'If you don’t get the clean now, we’ll charge a $99 call-out fee which you’ll have to pay again next time', even though I had never agreed to a call-out fee in the first place. They also demanded payment via bank transfer before providing an invoice, which seems very unprofessional. A legitimate business should be able to accept card payments.

I feel fortunate I didn’t hand over any money to this dubious operation and hope this review helps others avoid being pressured into it as well.

We didn’t book the ducted heat vent cleaning because we had an authorised Brivis service technician visit the day before. He advised against letting anyone tamper with your vents or ducting as they are not qualified and may cause more damage than good. You can check your air intake vent to see if it’s dusty and truly needs cleaning, but it’s unlikely. If its clear, then all of your vents are.

It's a scam – Same, I too got scammed, beating myself up. Got told unlimited number of ducts for $299, then tech came, went in the roof, and started adding costs, 350+450+600 for the return, a 5 mins job just for that one, in the end called up his boss to get discounts, same method as other reviewers. No we replied that’s not on. And it’s not what you discussed. Then “ok it’s $400 but I need to check with the office” ….. Afrer more tooing and froing we agreed on 350 all inclusive.

Turns out all inclusive does not include bringing any protective covers, leaving soot all over the house, not bringing any bags to collect the soot and debris. And incudes taking the roll of bin bags we gave him home with him (am sure this is just a mistake but far out).

After posting the original review we received calls, emails and pleas from the company asking what they could do so that we would remove the review. They offered a free clean and sanitise of the duct cistern.

We lit a fire that evening and smoke went up the chimney a little but most went all through the house.

We declined the make up offer and booked a professional chimney sweep to come and fix the issues left by Fresh Duct.

The verdict - Fresh Duct only cleaned to the ceiling level and not to the top of the chimney and also broke the damper. So the result was a new clean of the top of the chimney and a new damper (and a $1000 price tag)!

This company has absolutely no idea how to deal with chimneys. They may be good at ducts but don’t have them touch your chimney. Absolutely charlatans. Not recommended at all
