Very disappointed. I ordered and paid for the Alder 5 Piece Outdoor Dining Set online, only to get a phone call saying it’s actually a pre-order item and won’t be available until March 2026. Why list it as “in stock” when it isn’t? Now I have to wait another 3–4 business days for a refund to show up on my card. Show details
Poor quality look elsewhere – Purchased couch 14 months ago poor quality already broken, Purchased a care cover extend warranty plan through them as well claim denied - left with a couch that cost nearly 2 grand thats broken

*everything is covered but it's not. Nothing is covered. If my lounge is start pilling of which is almost not in use at all, then everyone’s else will. I will never pay for any extra protection for warranty just waste of money. On the photos is only beginning of pilling of now its all sofa pilling. So paid almost $4000 for nothing. Buy the way they did NOT even try to help with claim,just it’s not covered that’s all what they said.
Amazing New Couch – I went to Fantastic Furniture and A Mart before coming into Furniture Bazaar. Which I'm so glad I ended up doing because o found the couch I'd been looking for at a great price of $1000! Bargain! I would have spent a few hundred more if I went with the other stores. Head Office customer service lacking – Our second lot of furniture we had delivered, the delivery drivers were just going to leave the plastic wrapped furniture on the back patio and asked to sign that it has been received in good condition. where it was dumped under the patio. Our recliner lounge in the family room the cable operating the recliner frayed and snapped. We arranged to have it replaced and for the other recliner to be checked while they were there and any necessary repairs to be done. After replacing the cable in the first chair he sat in the second and said it was OK without even looking at the cable. Two and a half weeks later the other cable snapped. We argued about charging another call out fee because the repairman was too lazy to check it properly which would have taken an extra two minutes of his time to undo two screws and would have seen the cable was about to snap which we had pre arranged for him to do. Had to pay the extra call out fee. The last lot of delivery drivers and repairmen were lazy and couldn't wait to get back into their vehicle and leave. After this and other issues with this company we had advised them we will not be purchasing anymore furniture from them although their sales staff were great their backup and furniture quality was not.
October 9th 2019 Update: Poor customer service from Head office
We had issues with this Company charging a second call out fee to repair a snapped cable on one of their recliner chairs. The first chair was fixed and it was pre arranged to have the second chair checked at the same time to see that it didn't have the same fraying problem with the steel cable. A completely inadequate check was made stating it was OK, the cable subsequently snapped a few weeks later. This resulted in a second call out fee being charged and was asked to pay in advance before repair would be done. Contacted Consumer Affair and was advised that Furniture Bazaar had a case to answer due to the second call out fee being charged for a job that should have been done by the repairman while he was initially there. Consumer Affair were advised by the Company that the repairman only had one replacement cable on board and would have to return to base to pick up another one if it was needed which would have resulted in another call out fee being charged. Although it was arranged with the Company prior to the initial repair that the serviceman was to replace the second cable in the other chair if it was found to be badly worn requiring him to have an extra spare cable. The Company obviously lied to Consumer Affair about not having a spare cable on board or the driver didn't come prepared, either way the customer should not be charged for their incompetence. They refused to refund the extra call out fee after numerous requests. We had previous issues with their honesty, problems with delivery practices and product quality, some of these issues noted in a previous review. The Company appears unethical when issues don't go their way. Last time we will be shopping at their stores again as their Customer Service Department has no idea of customer service or interest in retaining their customers.
#Winning – We had been shopping around for a while and FINALLY Furniture Bazaar in Cannington was where every single item on my "fuss list" (as my partner calls it), checked out! We totally loved how the store has modernised the whole shopping experience with the "personal shoppers" feel, the manner the purchase and delivery was all organised on their iPad from start to finish while chatting and laying on the suite we felt so attached towards stood out from anything we have seen before. A cup of tea would have been the cherry on the top. :-)
We don't usually do reviews, but this was exceptional! It was such a pleasure to for once feel less like "just another customer" but more like a welcomed guest in your HUGE "family room." Thank you!
Excellent quality hard wood- follow instructions on chairs! – I would like to say that the quality of the dining set I purchased is excellent. I don't understand why someone would purchase a soft pine setting somewhere else for the same, if not more, amount of money. the assembly of the chairs. I called customer support and they sent out a technician straight away to fix the problem. This is something I should of been able to do- had I followed the instructions. This level of customer service is rare today. Well a suggestion of "did you keep the instructions- we can send you again " or similar would of enabled me to assemble properly... (however still no excuse) ... I am intending on being a loyal customer of Furniture Bazaar in the future because the quality of what I purchased and their excellent customer service is top notch. Excellent service – Having shopped at Furniture Bazaar before we were sure we would again get excellent service which we did. They were patient as we decided which couch was the right one for us even though we visited them twice. Couldn't recommend them higher. Great value, great service and long lasting furniture, my last couch from them lasted 13 years and was in as new condition, only sold it second hand as we moved and it wouldn't suit the new house. King bed – We recently purchased a King size bed as marked on the Clearance ticket only to find out after we got it home and assembled it that it was designed for a queen size mattress with overhang on three sides. after few days we went to warehouse to pick the bed . There was no attendant present . We searched for a person and finally a person half sleep was found . We handed them out paper and he was not sure where to looked at it . He was going from one place to another For minutes and minutes . After half and hour another indian person comes and look at the paper and tell the person the excatly where it is . He bring the stuff half way and tell me to take it . He didnt help me to load in our ute . It was heavy . He was u trained and unhelpfull.
Not Pushy – Huge store with a great variety of furniture to choose from. Friendly greeting as I entered the store and was allowed to roam the store freely without being annoyed, but I knew help was there if I needed it. The worst customer service ever – I have purchased $15k worth of stuff and they refused to hold for even 1 week (asking $395 extra to hold) and when I asked that by mistake I have purchased wrong thing and haven’t opened it; Can I exchange it and will pay the difference between both items but they refused it (without asking the reason) in a very unprofession and rude way. Very pleased – Went to the Cannington store and found a bargain in the clearance section on the Venus chaise and lounge. My kids and I love it. Comfy and also looks great. I now want the ottoman that goes with it. If I win the $100 then Im going back to buy it. Fingers crossed. There are a few other things I'm interested in. I'm glad I went and had a look.
