the team at each stage were fabulous to work with. It was an absolute pleasure to meet and spend time with each of them from the initial conversations, right through to the post handover maintenance.
It wasn't a straight forward process to get the build going again, and the team were there with us through every obstacle.
We have been in our beautiful home 9 months now and we're still pinching ourselves every day.
The whole team are friendly, down to earth, all round great humans! Josh should be beyond proud of his team and the quality homes they are producing.
Right from the start Lochie and Brooke went above and beyond to help us while making us feel at ease. They were really mindful of the position we were in and were so considerate to the bad experience we had prior to working with them.
It was a pleasure to work with Tia through the contracts and selections stage, she is so lovely to work with!
Dave was our site supervisor, what a legend and all round top bloke he is! Throughout construction he would check in with us to confirm anything that came up. Right down to ensuring we had noggins for future artwork, fitting and fixtures where we wanted them and a range of things that came up along the way. We always looked forward to his weekly updates and still miss them after handover!
Erin and Brandon worked with us through the maintenance stage after handover and they have been awesome to work with.
Don't let the brand name fool you into thinking this building team is a volume builder churning out houses. They are the exact opposite! They produce high quality homes with expert trades through every aspect of planning and construction. Having started our build with another franchise style business and being burnt, we can say with complete confidence that GJ Warragul are the dream team you hope for when building a home.
We enquired with GJ Gardner Warragul because unlike other bulk builders they had north facing house designs which suited our north facing block. unlike other bulk builders that refused to work with us because of this factor. They were quick to respond and we immediately got to work altering house designs to suit our requirements. You can pick and chose from GJ’s designs but they also do custom builds. Kylie from the sales team is fantastic and knowledgeable, she went to great lengths to help us create the perfect home layout and the drafting team were super efficient. We made numerous alterations to the plans which was never a hassle and have ended up with a fantastic 7.7 star custom home. Tia from contracts has also been brilliant in managing our build, navigating the design review panel at The Cape which helped us get our house design ticked off with minimal changes to the design. This was a huge help and a big stress relief. We are now at the point where our slab is getting poured within the week. We are so grateful to the entire sales and admin team at GJ Gardner Warragul for managing our job with the utmost professionalism and a can do attitude, they have been the best team we’ve ever dealt with in the building industry and are very excited to watch our build unfold!

The quality of my new property is excellent, I had no issues pre, post or during construction. I found the final cost to be very comparable the price was fixed, and any variations were communicated and discussed prior to the build.

We agreed allowances in excess of original quate, but the cost of the build and the additions were very clearly outlined and there were no surprises. the outset, GJ Gardner have been a team of outstanding designers with excellent communication, while giving regular updates on our design and build. Site visits were on a regular basis and we were kept in the loop with our weekly updates regarding progress and trades onsite. During the process GJ Gardiner made suggestions based on their experience and what would work and these have enhanced our home. points, lights and all of the little details were just right. When we were looking at plans the planning team were very knowledgeable when it came to what will and won't work. We asked the important question "how do we prevent delays?" They worked very hard to keep our build within budget and on time, going above and beyond. (Thanks guys very grateful). Selecting colours was a breeze, their colour specialist really knows what she is doing. We just love the outcome, all of the finishes are pristine, the quality of workmanship is truly outstanding. All of the staff were meticulous in their dealings, quick responses to emails and SMS's, all communication was excellent. Absolutely everything was in black and white before we signed the contract, ensuring that the whole process was transparent. We loved the reassurance that all of the trades were locals and that where possible they sourced materials locally. This meant a great deal to us. amazing, not 1 week went past without an update, that defiantly gave peace of mind. the build quality of the home is top notch, having built before and been able to a comparison G.J gardener WARRAGUL have out done them self in terms of quality. Of courese there where small issues along the way, BUT the team had them resolved the next day or the same week, which was very refreshing

During the build we were kept upto date with the progress & any minor hiccups along the way, we could not fault any of the trades they were all upto the highest standards. Tess was able to turn our ideas into a reality when it came to colours, tiles, & kitchen details. She knew exactly what we were trying to achieve just through some images and ideas discussed. It was the smaller suggestions during the planning that made a bigger impact in the end & built us with confidence throughout the process as being first time builders we had no real idea what to look out for & having ALOT included opposed to volume builders we looked at really helped.
