Very Poor Customer Service
I am writing to you regarding poor customer service at one of your stores. On the 30th of May, my partner and I stopped past your Morphett Vale store in South Australia to purchase a new steam mop. When we entered we were asked if the new trainee could show us some other steam mops as part of his training. The trainee's name was **** and he did a very good job of showing us some mid and high range steam mops. After the presentation my partner and I decided to opt for the higher range product as we thought **** did a good of showing us the diffe...rences and provided good customer service. When at the service till, **** waited patiently to get the attention of the manager as he needed a password to apply a discount. Once the manager saw that **** was waiting patiently he asked the trainee "what do you want" in an abrupt manner. Manager was also with a customer during this time and saw that a person was behind us. He looked at the person behind us and talked to this person in the same manner asking what they wanted as well. We soon realised that this person was another employee and had asked to fill in his time sheet. Manager berated the employee in front of customers and told him that this was not the time as he was extremely busy (there was only us and another couple in the store) and that he should have chosen another time to come in. This was embarassing to witness, especially after the employee had been waiting patiently for 10 minutes. Afterwards, I was told to come back on Monday. On Monday I arrived at the store in Morphett Vale at 5:15pm to pick up my new steam mop. As I entered the store I approached Manager (as he was the only one there) and told him that I was there to pick up a new steam mop. Manager directed me over to the desk where he started checking through his book. Manager asked if I was someone in the book and I said no, he then asked if I was Rebecca and I asked him “what do you think” (I am a 33 year old man with a beard). He told me he gets lots of people with weird names and you never know, however I think Manager should have perhaps asked for my name instead of insinuating that I was a female with the name Rebecca. After taking the vacuum from Manager, he then said “thanks for coming in 10 minutes before I close”- sarcastically. I told Manager that I came as soon as I could as I work over an hour away from the store. He then asked what I did for a profession and I told him I was a teacher. He then said to me “that explains the sassy attitude”. I was appalled with his response as a manager of a store and am overall disgusted with his treatment of his employees. I cannot fathom how this individual is in retail let alone leading a retail outlet. I look forward to your response. Thanks
NOT Ultra Power
I think that the Hoover Ultra Power 5222 white coloured stick vac is not as good as what it is advertised and demonstrated in the store to be.
I'm disappointed that it struggles to pick up pet hair properly and anything bigger than a tiny crumb and YES, I clean it constantly.
Perhaps I'm too fussy, but I really am dissapointed...
Salesman Narinder at gepps cross was super excellent confident & knew his job highly recommend his demonstration to us & time & no pressure was a very important part of the sale made the trip from the country worthwhile

Went into godfreys to purchase an everyday stick vacuum cleaner. I had already spent a fortune on my Dyson (which is a little overrated)

The right vacuum at a competitive price
Godfreys Greensborough, I was well advised as to the model best for my, mainly solid floor, home, the Hoover 'Smart'. The sales assistant did not attempt to up-sell me and when I used the vacuum it worked completely to my satisfaction. Professional service and a price which was better than The Good Guys.
Had great experience staff awsome polite nothing but helpful didn't get the machine I wanted but did walk out with top rating shampooer on a plan I can afford they really come through for me
$250-Hoover Ultralight stick could have lasted longer.

The Sales representatives were very knowledgeable. Friendly and approachable and understanding of what item I was shopping for. They actually took the time to show me how products operated. To top it off, they gave me a discount on the purchase price.

I purchased a Wertheim SE2000 carpet shampooer recently. I explained clearly to the salesman that I had very little carpet etc and was assured this product would be suitable. What a nightmare. Firstly when you spray the carpet it delivers blotches of carpet shampoo randomly instead if an even spray. When pulling shampooer backwards to remove dirt & liquid the front panel is so narrow that the smallest bit if fluff blocks it. As it doesn't detach it is almost impossible to clean. Poor Quality Steam Mop
This steam mop is disappointing because it doesn't clean in corners, the plastic fittings are weak and are quite hard to put together and the brushes are very poor quality. They aren't going to last long at all.
I recently bought a carpet shampoo cleaner and detergent at the Tweed Heads shop. The sale guy was very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him. In a world that is becoming more impersonal by the day I appreciate good customer service.
Vacuum broke after approx 10 uses
I bought a Paws and Claws Hoover vacuum, was left unopened for the first 4 months, used it a dozen times and now will not turn on. Was told that i should've bought a more expensive machine if i wanted it to last longer and that i should just buy another one.
Terrible Vacuum and bad customer service from Area manager
Bought a $599 Hoover Vortex from them and it is broken in 1 month time, it is obviously happens a lot if you research online. Ask the area manager to call me back but never receive his call. The salesperson in store is not friendly and not helpful at all. Very regret not doing any research and just walked into Godfreys, was thinking they are expert but they are not, just pushy salesperson. I wish I can give 0 or negative star.
Incorrect advice about repair
I took my dyson stick vacuum for repair. I was told by the salesman it was the battery but unfortunately they cant be replaced. He then tried to sell me another cleaner. After speaking with dyson I was told this is not true and now have a new battery. I certainly would not buy anything from godfreys in the future. That was just a lie.
Great customer service
Purchased my new Hoover Allergy from Greensborough store. Rohit gave expert advice and knowledge about all the vacuum cleaners he suggested would suit our needs. Very friendly gentleman. Excellent service.
Where is the service
We purchased Hoover Quickstick several years ago. We need a small replacement part. We've been three weeks without a vac so have cancelled and will get one elsewhere. Saleswoman so pushy here!
Terrible vaccum and customer service
I purchased a Hoover vortex pro from a Godfreys store in Brisbane 12 months ago and it has been the biggest waste of money. I had a $29 Kmart stick vaccum before purchasing this and the suction was on par. Battery life was better in the Kmart vaccum. Crazy when you think that this one was 18x the price!
I was sick of having to pull the vaccum apart and clean each component and rollers after each use. Not that it made a difference to the suction. I also found that it was constantly spitting bits and pieces back out when trying to vaccum. The ba...ttery time was not great either. In turbo mode it would often cut out after 2-3 minutes (sometimes less) after being fully charged. I returned it to Godfreys because I was having these issues. They gave it back to me a few weeks later saying there was nothing wrong with it. I was over spending so much time trying to clean it so gave up and purchased a new vaccum less than 12 months later. It cost less than half the price and does 100x better job. Would never buy this brand or shop at Godfreys again.
Extremely bad service!
I attended Success store middle of February looking for a “stick vacuum “ for my daughters birthday. I have used Godfreys many times and have been very satisfied. I was “attended” to by the most beligerant young lady who was so rude and obnoxious and clearly was not interested in serving me.
There was nobody else in the store but she really couldn’t be bothered.
I will go to another Godfreys store to purchase what I want and hope for the best,
But I felt very strongly about leaving my complaints.
