Wertheim Evolution Stick Vacuum
The wertheim evolution stick vacuum is an absolute piece of rubbish! DO NOT BUY IT! I bought this Vacuum from Godfreys less than 2 years ago and it has been repaired 6 times! I’ve had so many issues with it - I’ve had the head replaced, the stick replaced and now the batteries don’t hold charge for more than 3 minutes. When I last took it in for repair and asked the staff member what happens when a vacuum needs to be repaired so many times within warranty I was told ‘you can get it repaired as many times as you like when in warranty’. I don’t want to have to keep getting it repaired! I want a vacuum cleaner that actually works and doesn’t break down every few months. What a total waste of money!
Got talked into items that are not good, one item took it back and got $50 back, the item was nearly new and really did not do what was supposed to.
Next item got talked into buying a vacuum cleaner for nearly $500 and I have trouble getting the tube of, not user friendly.
I will never buy anything from there again
We had a wee oops with our Hoover React stick vacuum cleaner and broke it. We took it to Godfreys Palmerston North store from where we purchased it. We were quite happy to pay for the repairs as it was completely our fault. But Ryan , the manager, was very happy to repair it, replaced the part at no cost and didn't charge us at all for part and labour. Now, that sort of thing doesn't happen much these days.
I think that was fantastic service and will continue our local Godfreys store,
My new Vacuum Cleaner
Excellent service. Staff were friendly and new their products. Gave me a very detailed demonstration of the vacuum cleaner. Although it was more than I had planned to spend, it was a great product and I bought it. I opened up an OpenPay account instore and had it paid off in no time. I am very happy with the cleaner it does a great job and easy to use.
Awful service prompted changed of product choice and retailer - couldn't be happier with Dyson
The horrendous 'send it off for repair' warranty protocol of Godrey's should be investigated - I was without my product for 4 weeks! The positive outcome for me was that I visited Big W and decided to try a Dyson - recommended on many occasions by family and friends. It is a lower end product which was on sale but the same price as the Hoover I purchased from Godrey's. Couldn't be happier. Hoover are not what they once were either.
Disappointing product and disappointing customer service
I bought a corded vacuum along with motorised head for pet hair from local Godfreys shop in Taylors lakes Vic a week and half ago. Used it for a room on the same day and a burnet smell came out of the machine. Even worse the motorised power head stopped working. I cleaned out the pet hair off the motorised head as per the manual but it did not help. I took the machine back to the shop and the staff their checked the machine. He was like there is no smell coming out of the machine. I explained to him what I experienced but he seemed upset that i...bought the machine in the morning and came back in the evening. He also implied that I was lying about machine being faulty. I asked if I want to return the machine or want to get it tested. I opted to return as i was not happy with the product given that on the first day it gave me a problem. Plus getting it checked by manufacturer would mean a waiting time for another couple of weeks at least. As i wanted to return the vacuum the staff told me I will have to pay for the 3 filters which cost around $60 in total, as part of Godfrey's policy. After about 15mins of argument I ended up getting a refund minus the $60. my concerns are, - he did not tell me about the policy upfront where cost of filters will be deducted if i return the product - no discussion occurred about faulty motorised head which implies the staff may have deliberately sold me a faulty head in the first place - the staff implied that the customer (I) was lying and just wanted to use a vacuum for a day, rather than accepting the possibility that machine could be faulty? if that was the case then I would have bought and used and returned the costliest machine they have not a $250 vacuum. Overall very disappointed with this experience. Unfortunately I would not recommend the Taylors Lakes store (at least) to anyone.
Great customer service
as a repeat customer at Springfield Lakes store, there is a reason i repeat buy, customer service is awesome, they come and check if i need help, if not, they will not hassle or try to hard sell, this is important as it just puts me off, when i need help though, nothing is an issue.. I have purchased expensive items and relatively inexpensive items ... plus they have consumable items too, which i need for my vacuum, and if it needs servicing they do that too, which i have had them do ... I recently went there to buy a steam mop, and had no issu...e finding the one I had researched to buy, and both staff members in the store were helpful, i had a question the next week about what i bought, went back in, and it got answered and solved straight away ... ! I find it simple and easy just to support our local businesses in our local shopping centre, and when the staff there make it pleasurable, then its worth supporting those businesses, these guys ticked all those boxes .. !
Where is my order?
I visited Westpoint Blacktown to purchase I vac stick vacuum on 6/5/2021, the item is not available in store. The staff suggested she can order for me from the warehouse. I agreed and pay the full amount, and chose the home delivery since its free of charge. Unfortunately up to now i did not receive the item yet. I went back to the store and ask about the update and i did not get any positive answer if the item is already been dispatched from the warehouse ever the tracking number they can not provide it. Very disappointed.
My elderly frail father went to Godfreys in Fyshwick to purchase a new filter for his 4 year old Dyson stick vacuum. The salesman told him Dyson were rubbish, and instead sold him both a new stick and a standard Hoover vacuum. He gave dad a “trade in” of only $20, for a perfectly good near new
vacuum, when a pack of 3 Dyson filters would have cost him $20.
I went in 2 days later to get the vacuum back and the other salesman said that it was already thrown out, which I don’t believe for a minute. This is completely unacceptable taking advantage...
I purchased an i-Vac stick vaccum cleaner from your Highpoint store,on the12/5/21 the service I received from salesman... who 's name is Hans, was amazing,he was very helpful and friendly..demonstrating several other models of vaccs for me, I love my vaccum cleaner,and highly recommend Hans and Godfreys for their great service.

Sam from Godfreys - Erina. Exceptional customer service. I was buying a new vacuum and looking at a carpet cleaner. Sam listened to what I wanted and thoroughly went over both vacuums showing me how they worked and how to clean them. His knowledge of products and customer service was amazing to the point I did not need the operation manual because everything he showed me was so spot on. Finding service like this is rare these days, so thank you Sam. One very happy and satisfied customer who will be back should I ever even need advice and recommending your service to family and friends.
Godfreys Campbelltown - cannot fault the service from the staff at this store. We had a misunderstanding over a product which was dealt with on site in a sympathetic and caring manner. Would definitely buy from this particular store again. Thank you.
Godfeys Maroochydoore QLD
I visited the Godfreys Maroochydoore store yesterday looking to purchase a new suckalator and was served by Veronica.
I would like to pass onto the store manager that her customer service, product knowledge and general attitude towards me was absolutely fantastic.
I am sure that you mostly hear complaints from customers but if all staff were as good as Veronica we would have absolutely nothing to complain about.

PLEASE PASS THIS ONTO THE STATE MANAGER. Shane O. provided me with above excellent customer service today. He told me what I needed to get my vacuum working efficiently again and was honest about a trade in. What really impressed me was his level of knowledge for someone who had only been working in the store for about 6 weeks. His eyes lit up when I told him how hard it is for the elderly to manouvre old vacuum cleaners and I told him what would help them, he was really so keen to learn and it was apparent. His attitude and knowledge rea...lly impressed me, so I gave him a plug on social media. I suspect strongly he will excel in this job. Wish I could give him higher than a 5 for customer service. P.S. If you want him to give you a trade in you must take your vacuum in for him to see.
