As of June 18th, 2020, Welsh Homes rebranded to Harmac Homes.
No after build care
I built with Harmac homes in 2020 (during this time they changed to Welsh homes). During the build I was told I would get regular progress updates, I did not. I had to chase these up every time.
But now while parts of the house are still under warranty I can not get into contact with them at all. Even the number listed on their website doesn’t work. I have a leaking roof and can’t get anyone to take responsibility. There has been many issues with the build and has taken months (even years) to have each one dealt with by them.
Very disappointed in what was supposed to be a great experience.

We have had a great experience with Harmac homes, everyone we have dealt with has been very helpful, all work completed on the build has been very high quality. We will definitely recommend Harmac to friends and family.

Excellent Quality, Excellent Price, great communication throughout the build
We first dealt with their Sales rep Rob, who was informative, helpful and provided us any written confirmation on any of his agreements, so there was no hiding anything. We then signed up, and went through the next stage. Which we were on a rapid turn around time to complete the contract. Harmac were excellent met our timeline of releasing the contract. ... Read moreing at all times to our requests and issues noted and fixed them urgently. We are now in the post 3-month warranty repair stage. There was a very small list of issues needing to be fixed. and they are being dealt with. And Minor, I mean, a few exhaust fan ducting had fallen off due to work conducted by their contractors, and a few minor cracks in skirting that will be fixed. The quality is exactly what we want
We are very pleased with the construction of Harmac … the house is of high quality and exactly what we wanted . We went to see many builders, until we met Rob Chamber.. his way of working makes us trust and is very dedicated… in the construction processes there are sometimes delays… but the quality of the build doesn't affect my thinking as quality over duration… the last part is the Driveway.. Started out good, ended in nothing but issues
We talked to several builders but we came back to harmac, based on the friendly sales staff and they promised us a quick build. The reviews looked good, now we wish we had looked a little deeper into the review.
We signed contracts and paid the deposit, then it all stopped. After not hearing back from them for several weeks. We tried to contact the sales person, with no luck. I happened to have there mobile so i tired this and got in contact with them, they told me that they had left the company for a new job but could still try to help.

Read mored, the leak in kitchen was not fixed so i had to get a plumber to fix it, turned out it was not screwed on correctly something you should have been able to fix at the after build service. There was also some minor issues with the ceiling over the entrance not fixed. Also the houses was not cleaned before hand over I had them cleaned and was told you would cover the cost but you didn't pay i even emailed the bills to you. Also the tiled in the house was changed as the original tile was not in stock but the tile was not sealed so very hard to clean. Also the blocked drain in one of the house which turned out to be a piece of guttering in the pipe, again i send you the bill but you did not pay or even response to it. So in the end i was left with a very bad experience which you could have easily fixed at the time. The Building Manager and Customer Support Coordinator were amazing and communicated well! They advocated for me regarding discrepancies between the initial sales team and the communications from finance, which never resolved. This related to the time period between the land titling and the build occurring. The only response I had for the $1,500 fine for the 3 month extra wait was I either pay within the week or the build will not start. This is despite the initial guarantees by the sales team. The Building Manager was more than happy to provide walkthroughs and very accommodating throughout. It was nice to have a steady point of contact throughout. Harmac have been a pleasure to deal with the entire way through the building process- couldn’t recommend enough.
The entire Harmac team are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We were always updated and kept in the loop with all things. We are first home buyers and never been through the building process before- we never felt like we were taken advantage of in any way.

Awesome introduction to Harmac homes
Huge shout out to Craig and Victoria, sales reps at Harmac in Bendigo. Their enthusiasm and ability to understand what we wanted, and their commitment to help us achieve it within our budget was outstanding. Harmac homes seemed to us to offer good value for money in their builds, but having built homes before we were very conscious of the hidden costs associated with those "extras". These guys were excellent in working through that with us. With their help we have set the foundations for the home WE want. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I look forward to working with the rest of their team as we begin our build and I`ll give feed back here as we progress. Thanks guys!!

Such a great team to work with. We’ve been so happy with every step of the process.
During the planning process we worked with one team member which allowed for great communication and ease, our team member was very knowledgeable and offered great advice.
Once the build started we were informed of every step and any delays. The only delay we had was very minimal and was a result of supply issues. The build has taken just over 5 months from site prep to handover.
The build site was always tidy and if we requested an on-site inspection it was always made possible.
We are very happy with the final product, the quality of work is great, anything that needed touching up before handover has been completed with no issues.
We would 100% recommend Harmac Homes as quality builders who are extremely reliable and easy to work with.

Great job!!
The constitution was managed really well and swift. The customer service was awesome. Even though the sales person started after the contract was signed, she did an amazing job in satisfying our needs. the final cost was nearly same as the initial cost. We are happy with the service. House was handed over in a timely manner. The staff were very friendly, understanding and caring, which made the whole experience awesome

Best quote with upgrades, exceptional customer service
This is our second home we are building in Bendigo. We called four quotations and similar floorplan/sqm with same inclusion/upgrades from four other reputed builders as well. Shaky start but brought it home timely
The Supervisor Darren was always very professional, projecting a positive approach leading the management of the construction with firm direction and decision making whilst communicating with me all the way inviting me to contact him with any problems. Tegan was always highly informative and kept me up to date, confirmation of my emails was the only shortfall, but this is a learning curve we all must take.
I know that if Darren and Tegan were not involved a quite different outcome may have followed.

Making our dreams come true!
We started our build mid year and finally our home has been completed. :)
Darren has be great from the start to finish. If there were any questions or issues, he answered or fixed them right away.
The build process has been great to watch as they build our home.
We got weekly updates from Darren, Tegan and team and inspections when we wanted, Darren made the whole process easy and so less stressful.
We get to move into our home in the next few days and we are super excited!! What we thought was not going to be possible for years to come

The sales representative that we brought our home through was amazing, she gave such a personalised experience and was very helpful.

Hi, we are considering building with Harmac the only issue we have, they currently don't have two storey display homes. We are looking at Gemini or Monarch but would luv to hear feedback from someone who has built a Harmac two storey and what the pro's and con's? Thank you
We build single story.
Only thing I can suggest is find another builder. Our experience was horrible, from delays in starting to build, to slab being in the incorrect place, to mix up in ordering which delayed the build, to several issues with the plumbing from the very start. They would promise something then not follow true with it.
There was cracks in the plaster just after the 3 month service period.
The initial sales consultant went well, very friendly, quick to respond. Then we signed contract an nothing but problems.

Docklands in Melb but many displays over Victoria
Where do we go to chose colours and furnishings etc before the build starts
That is all done in the display home with the sales rep with Welsh they do have colour combinations they recomend go together you can upgrade to a different selection but there was about 5/6 combinations they recomend go together
