were very open about the terms in their contract and were contactable at any time of the day to discuss. We signed the pre-lim contracts and were set up for gallery as soon as we were available so that when we signed the official contracts, it was a set price and no surprises were added later, a great way of doing it. We were given a building start date only a month after contracts which was super impressive. Unfortunately, we decided due to personal reasons not to go forward with building and to sell our land. When we told Craig, although ultimately losing a sale, he was extremely supportive and lovely about it. Do not have a bad thing to say about them and if we were to decide to build later down the track, we will be choosing Harmac.

Great experience so far – This is my first-time build, and Harmac Homes has been a dream! Their consultants are friendly and patient, and they helped me find the perfect house plan to fit my needs and budget. all that glitter is not gold – I was a proud owner of one of their display homes, yes display home which hold the best of the best, premium product in every corner. connection is worst, the wire too short to connect to socket, do oven does not work and use the manual lighter to light the gas. Went to bunning to get an extension and was told do not do it yourself as you will insurance if anything goes wrong, its builder responsibility to fix, how did they manage to get the occupancy certificate with this blunder, I think its fishy how it was obtained. Cracks appear on walls and it over 1.5 feet long, love the quality used.

Wooden floor started bulge and make sound on walking, this is premium quality, less than 2 year. The list does not end here, the good looking fan in alfresco has a memory loss as it does not know how to work.

Fence is an another story, the lock does not want lock unless you do the exercise and lift the door each time to lock or unlock and also the other side the fence is just waiting for a big kick to fall on neighbours side and rest for long time.

Harmactive is for the name as it does not work, not sure which electrical connection is missing, was told use the app and no further communication done, my front window curtain is up, since it can not be connected with the app so the curtain refuses to come down, Harmactive is harmful active for me.

Need be careful while entering and existing any room as the nail on the carpet needs hammering every month as they keep coming up and looking to bite you, love the laziness of the work done here, also the carpet can be easily taken off or put back in wardrobes as it is not nailed or glued.

Plumbing is also exceptional, the hot water comes at its own discretion, no fault for a week and some time takes 30 mins of running fresh water to get warm water, got stuck in shower many times to get warm water and wastes lots of litres of fresh water in drain, not sure the defect is in hot water system, plumbing, tab or something else, no one in the company wants to answer it as no one wants to hear my cry.

Handover was the best of all, has millions of flyers in the house, tv brackets taken off wall damaged, speaker from the roof removed wires hanging down leaving the big hole and great access for anyone to move in or out.

My favourite was the customer service as it was the best, hope you understand what I mean to say,

I wish there was an option to leave less than one star so I could have picked it.

Any new buyer from these builder I would say please please please be careful, as you would like the paint and polish but you do not know what behind it and your voice or scream will make no effect on deaf ears, this is money minting place so beware of putting you hard earned money with them.

unresolved, forcing us to split our use between two bathrooms. We cannot landscape our front yard as we are still waiting for installation issues with our meters to be rectified.

Our supervisor in Geelong has been the worst we've ever encountered, displaying arrogance, unwarranted opinions, and a complete lack of genuine care for our concerns. We've been patient and kind, but the situation has become unbearable.

We've faced numerous issues, including gas leaks, water leaks, gutter problems, and even an incorrectly installed and painted front door. Today, our heater broke down, and our attempts to contact the office have been futile as the phone line seems to be disconnected or unresponsive.

The recent news about Harmac going into voluntary administration added to our concerns, and the complete lack of communication from Harmac Homes is frustrating.

In summary, we had high hopes when we started this journey as homeowners, but it has been marred by shoddy workmanship, broken promises, and a lack of accountability. We hope this review brings attention to our issues and that they are addressed promptly. We simply want to enjoy the home we worked hard for without constant problems.

contract. We then started construction with Matt as our building supervisor. The build went well, no major issues, there was a few minor issues (Always expected), and were fixed early. Matt was accommodating at all times to our requests and issues noted and fixed them urgently. We are now in the post 3-month warranty repair stage. There was a very small list of issues needing to be fixed. and they are being dealt with. And Minor, I mean, a few exhaust fan ducting had fallen off due to work conducted by their contractors, and a few minor cracks in skirting that will be fixed. Congratulations to Harmac for employing these two incredibly talented people. Gracie Reilly was the finance person I dealt with when making the payment and i found her to pleasant, helpful, and an asset to the company projecting an incredibly positive experience dealing with her (Great job Gracie) The Speed of the build was excellent coming in well short of the allotted time. The workmanship and quality of the build were marred by the poor attention to detail of the painter and the inability of the electrician to follow what was required in the specs and instead of using his own ideas on what I should have, Darren was true to his word sorting out issues with the painter and electrician and has ironed out the problems with a satisfactory result. The final cost was the same as the projected cost. If the after-sales is as good as the build, I will be incredibly happy so I hope Darren can follow that up for me. My appreciation to Bryan for standing by his promise many months ago. Keep this up Harmac and you will take a strong presence in the building industry.

Highly Unprofessional Builder – Highly unprofessionals, liars, keep hiding facts until last time and get the contract signed to trap people. months from site prep to handover. The build site was always tidy and if we requested an on-site inspection it was always made possible. We are very happy with the final product, the quality of work is great, anything that needed touching up before handover has been completed with no issues. have had on site appointments for every stage which included a very thorough walkthrough and explanation of what’s happened so far and what was coming up so we were always 100% up to date with all information. The overall quality of the build is fantastic, everything is very neatly done, no major faults anywhere, there has been only a couple of very very minor things come up after hand over which is completely expected and they have been all fixed within a few days- nothing is an issue and it’s very comforting to know that we have this level of quality from Darren our supervisor- really cannot fault him at all and his work, we had heard a lot of positive reviews about Darren as a supervisor and it’s really been proven. Our build was also done exactly on time- the day of the first appointment we were given a rough estimate and we had handover on the exact day that we were first told. me down. They did so many changes in plan due to developer requirements but never ask me single cent. Admin staff specially Kate replied my emails even midnight. Mathew huy site supervisor always updated me with ongoing construction. I did all this deal from Sydney never been Melbourne even single time. Did all the paperwork online. Now construction is finished and they pass keys and all paperwork to my agent. Some time progress payments delays from bank side and they never asked for extra money as interest. I did a property inspection via a company and report came 100%. And the price was below from other building companies by 20-25k. What else a customer need? One of my friend build a house in Melbourne from diff company. In the beginning original quote was almost same as me but by the time construction finished , price was up by 35k, from slab stage they keep adding cost and I mean no one can say no once you started as it’s part of contract. contract signing was straight forward with Uta and the admin side with Sabrina was also good. We had Damien as our site supervisor originally but he left and Matt Huy joined Welsh and honestly , I don't think you'd find a more genuine bloke who actually takes pride in his work and listens to the customer. Yes, at times we'd be at loggerheads but I'm persistent and I know they have a business to run. But Matt was always available for a chat and was good when any issues I had were raised and they were dealt with promptly. Bryan Milne the construction manager has also been great in the whole process and has even attended when we've had a few little issues which we wanted fixed. After 6 months the matters for the 3 Monty inspection were attended to promptly And the relevant trades did what they needed to do. we're very happy living here and are glad we built with Welsh. The contract price we signed was the price we paid, there were no secret hidden fees unlike alot of other builders we here of and the trades working on the home are the same people who are out there working for the other big builder's. There's a reason why I walk around the estate at night and constantly see a new Welsh development taking shape because they're looking after their customers.
