Do not stand by warranty – Do not stand by the warranty. 15 year wear warranty. First sign of wear, contacted them, they came out. Did not hear back from them. Contacted them again, would not stand by the warranty. They offered to give me two floors mats the cover the area that was worn. Didn’t even get it laid – Went in with my Harvey Norman insurance quote. In other words, Harvey Norman insurance side of things quoted my insurance company a price to replace my 3 bedrooms with carpet. rude and argumentative. I turned on my heel and told him to have a great afternoon and a fantastic weekend as he screwed up my quote and details. I’d previously spoken to his wife about upgrading and we had agreed on a price, the husband said that was a load of rubbish and her quote was wrong. I would never go near this store again. I had to get items that were lost from storm damage from there and I have quotes that show they upped the price as the insurance company was replacing the items. I actually have hard proof of this. My advice steer clear. Ask your insurance company if you can shop around and get a better deal. So the outcome was Harvey Norman Shepparton Flooring did not get the job.

After Sales Service non existence – Bought pure New Zealand wool carpets which where very expensive but good quality however the carpet layer was rude used poor language and marked several skirting boards and constantly on his phone. I reported to the sales rep at Harvey Norman who was going to follow up. Have never heard back from anybody. Show details

Excellent customer service – Rinzan from Harvey Norman Osborne Park helped us choose a great carpet for our house. He was patient and gave great advice while choosing the colour. Rob did a fantastic job with laying the carpet. The rooms now feel very luxurious and modern. Great customer service from both.

Fantastic service – I arrived in Cannington Harvey Norman store to visually see the carpets recommended for my rental property in Mandurah. Tracy came over and showed me some options and much to my surprise gave me a quote much less than the local stores. The carpet installers were incredibly rude. They parked in my driveway (I don't usually mind tradies parking in my driveway if there are heavy lifting involved. But when I asked them to move their van so I can leave my house to do a school drop off, their reply was, "you knew we were coming" and were most reluctant to move their truck, and mentioned that "we'll move when we finish our task". Most rude. When I informed Harvey Norman Carpets about it, their reply was to send an email and told me that they've never received complaints about their installers' service.

I would recommend for anyone to not visit Harvey Norman carpets at Castle Hill.

Not so SmartStrand Not Clean for Long Carpet – Three years ago I purchased Harvey Norman's "SmartStrand Forever Clean Carpet". From this range I purchased a pale stone coloured carpet. The selling point is that all the fibres are coated so if something is spilled on the carpet it is simply wiped off. traffic, or from the oils of the bodies of sleeping dogs, or the myriad ways we humans bring dirt into our homes, it will get dirty and turn a few shades darker and the manufacturer does not have much to say about how to clean it. In fact the manufacturer suggests that pretty much any regular approach to cleaning it will remove the coating that makes it stain resistant. A search on your internet browser will produce videos of PhD level cleaning company owners and staff who have be trying to workout how to clean the carpet and one or two have even come up with complex processes beyond the ken of the ordinary human along with their own branded products. So, while I think it may well resist staining as advertised, the idea that it is "Forever Clean" is simply untrue. More to the point it is questionable as to it is even cleanable when it comes to the gradual and inevitable build up of dirt. My recommendation is to just forget this product. It appears to be all about gimmick, marketing and selling, based on a very impractical technology.

Could be better – I buy all my products from Harvey Norman and have always been really pleased with the outcomes. However this time I had a $10k carpet laid and quite frankly the experience did not meet Harvey Norman standards. I phoned the store and they reluctantly did so. They were rude, unpleasant and I couldn't wait for them to get our of my house, they smoked in my garage and charged 100 to move a small electric keyboard as they said it was their rate for this.

Excellent attention and service from first enquiry to complete installation – Vivek's advice on the type of carpet was excellent and exactly what we needed for the particular area. The laying was promptly organised. Chris & Ray installed very quickly and professionally with great sense of humour.
