Ordered and paid for a fridge online 14/05/20. Order confirmed. Received sms stating "We're experiencing a delay with your online order #****. We will update you as soon as your item arrives. Thanks for your patience!" Alright, a week or so. No word. Send message 11 days later. Get the usual bollocks about higher than usual demand, blah blah blah. Messenger chat doesn't work. HN online chat doesn't work. Text doesn't work. Eventually get a message from someone saying that the fridge has been ordered and will be delivered. In about 4 weeks. So...they took my order, took my money even though they didn't have the fridge in stock, which they didn't tell me. Had I known, I'd have purchased elsewhere. I didn't want to give HN my money but after an appalling experience with the Good Guys, I felt I had no choice, but this company is just as inept and incompetent. Don't do it.
didn't realise online meant interstate store impossible returns
very difficult to arrange return, item took ages to arrive and very poor communication, never again, lots of calls to get anything done. Will have to pay over 150 for return shipping
Disappointing customer service
I contacted Harvey Norman Direct Online on 01/05/20 re a fault with a part in our new toilet. I emailed back the information required as directed in the email with photo's. I followed up on 22/05/20 and advised I needed to speak with someone that day about this fault. Someone phoned me at 4:30pm that day to say they were going to contact Caroma and get them to phone me back that day or Monday 25/05/2020. I asked why I had to follow this issue up and they advised that the staff members that received my email forwarded it to them but the required...paperwork that Harvey Norman are supposed to complete was blank and that is where it ended. No one followed up anything very bad customer service. I am still waiting for Caroma to phone me back and Harvey Norman haven't even checked with me to see if this fault has been dealt with. All I want is the part to be replaced so we don't have to turn the water on & off every time we use our brand new toilet.
Just bunch of untrusted peapole
Why is there no minus five stars to give someone because Harvey Norman fully deserve it?!What a bunch of people who can only tell you lies and that is what they are best for.15 days to deliver goods from Chirnside park to Monut Evelyn which is only 15 minutes drive.
My suggestion to you peapole just avoid them if you can. Bunches of bloody idiots!!!
Very poor customer service, deceitful info on website
I ordered online for a printer cartridge. The site site said it will be delivered in 2-4 business days. All along I am tracking the order online and it is just in "Processing" state. I've reached their customer serivce which happened to be via chat only saying it will take 8-10 business days. 10 business days has lapsed and still the product has not been delivered. I contacted them again and now they are saying it is a back order with no guaranty when it will be delivered.
Total lack of communication and description of online product inaccurate
I had to order products online because they advised they were not available in store . The product description was not accurate and I have made multiple attempts to return the goods for a refund. No one has answered any emails and the 'chat' option has never been available. Have been into a store to discuss and to try and return - the pretended to care but did nothing so to date I am stuck with the goods with no response to any emails or in store visits - totally useless and really not good enough!
Worst online experience imaginable
I purchased a print cartridge in early March. It was stated to be available and it did not come after a week. I cancelled the order three times. Notwithstanding they delivered the item six weeks later. It was impossible to find anyone to complain to and all my communications were unanswered. This was an absolutely terrible experience. I highly recommend you stay away from Harvey Norman online. The experience, customer service, etc. could not have been worse. Even now they refuse to answer any of my emails querying why they have delivered a product when I cancelled the order (I reordered 5 weeks ago from office works for a cheaper price).
Bought exercise bike with faulty belt
I recently bought this. I used this bike for 2 min and the belt came off and now i am not able to fix this. Very disappointed. No customer service response.
No updates on order, can't talk to anybody
Bought something online 3 days ago. No update at all whether my order is in processing or what, tried to talk to someone from web chat. Telling me they are busy and will take 24 hours to get back to me. If I have ordered somewhere else, 24 hours I would have the order delivered to my door. Big disappointment.
Do not do it!
Almost one month and no update on my order, had been stuck on processing the whole time. Multiple times I was told I was going to get an ETA after I contacted them. Slow response times when using online chat. Ended up cancelling my order and hopefully I'll get my money back. Don't risk it, definitely not worth it. Pay a bit more somewhere else for super express shipping in comparison. Minus 5 stars.
Harvey Norman Never On Line
I purchased an item from HN on line and paid via PayPal thinking if anything goes wrong I can resolve the issue via PayPal, bad mistake; After many emails to various parts of HN On Line and receiving many responses via an automated email I finally got to talk to a human, the person paid via an email a credit for $30 to me for the postage costs, (great) first to receive a faulty product and the cost of sending the faulty product back and told me they were refunding the full cost of the product as we were speaking on the phone, I thought how good...was that after around 1.5 months of emails & phone calls we were getting somewhere. No this was silly of me to think HN On Line were in fact fixing the issue, the PayPal time frame for a resolution is about to expire, after this time the complaint will be closed and still no refund. Do your self a favour and disregard HN On Line as a real store of any value, after this episode I will never enter a HN Store or utilise the On Line sector ever again.
Order was put on back order was not notified of this. Could not get in touch with customer service only by what's app!!! How unprofessional. I received no customer service after many weeks of arguing I got a refund. Requested to speak with a supervisor on several occasions still waiting!!! Harvey Norman online needs to be investigated by fair trading!! Do not buy from here.
Terrible customer service
They did'nt informed me that they had shipped my item. You can barely contact them and barely respond to you. It's just awful. I told them that i want to cancel it. then the next day my item had been sent by the post office to my house. I only got my invoice and shipping details when i already received the item.
Worst online shopping experience
Order was back ordered and contacted them online and got a refund reference .. it has been more than one and half month now and I didn’t get my refund back and it is almost impossible to contact them to follow up on it.
Very bad product and service
One week after purchasing a mini HiFi ,panasonic , it won't pair in bluetooth ..thats really bad . And the store isn't interested in helping me out at all.they ignore it .i can't recommend products or service.
Delivered to billing address by mistake
As the title suggests. The Paypal receipt shows delivery to the correct address, but they delivered to the billing address. All forms of communication are cut off by them. I'm being super polite with them, but in the middle of using whatsapp, or their live chat, the conversation on their side turns to zero.
Catching up with online shopping using 1990s technology
Ordered a home electronic product online to be collected in store 14 days ago. Last status update 13 days ago and now complete radio silence from Harvey Norman.

4th laptop in 3 yrs
I hve been a customer of Harvey Norman for any years. I have purchased everything from appliance to furniture to computers.
In the last 3 years, I have purchased 6 laptops. 2 for my daughter. She had to wait more then 2 months for product care to sort out her replacement and she was a University student at the time.
For my self, first I got an HP X2. The battery heated up and was replaced under product care. I was recommended the spectre. So I paid for the upgrade. The spectre ended up with frozen mouse after just over a year. As I d...id not want to wait and needed computer for work, I then bought a new computer, again recommended by their staff, an envy. That was just October 2019. The unit started to hve loud fan issue. Follow by 2 weeks of constant shut down and I ended up loosing all my work. I then went to Harvey Norman today. I then was recommended an Acer, with i7. I got home, turned it on and what did it say?? Your computer can't start.!!!
Money Hungry Tactics
I want to demonstrate how Harvey Norman tries to make money from you from a simple fact which you can try yourself to validate. I was looking for a trampoline and stumbled across Harvey Norman site which says online purchase only. I googled original manufactuer of trampoline and found out the price is similar to that of listed item in original manufacturers website. But when I tried to calculate postage by post code, Harvey Norman ones came up with $60 where the original manufacturer, who only have one depot in Melbourne came with $45 for shipp...ing. Pretty sure Harvey Norman ships this directly from manufactuer with $15 profit in its pocket. I end up buying it from Original Manufactuers website.! This small example has proved to me that HN strives to make bucks by whatever means it can! so everyone, be aware! do you research

Then came across all the negative reviews and immediately started to stress.
I received constant updates on my order.
Received item two days later on Tuesday.
What a relief. Excellent experience!!

Why oh why didn't I read the reviews first. Like all before me I've had the same poor service from this dodgy company. Very slow service, no number to call, no one will reply to their online message service, blaming covid for their delays. Never again.
