they can say is they don’t have that information and there’s plenty of time for it to be delivered by Christmas (well I would hope so as that’s still another 3 weeks away.) It wasn’t for Christmas anyway, it was for my daughter’s birthday tomorrow. So nothing has gone out from their warehouse in a the last week? Or it doesn't matter when you order it, it’s just luck to when it gets dispatched.

Unremarkable, deceiving advertising – Put in a big order for my nieces and nephews. Got a pop saying if I spend 400 I’d get a free towel and shovel worth $80. This is deceitful and false advertising.

Also a pro it I purchased did not have an age recommendation online but the box arrived and said 2+ when I was buying for a 1 year.

Pretty crappy. Will not be purchasing from them again.

Also a lot of the little toys I got in the end reminded me of things at the reject shop, so I couldn’t gone there for less.

Wicker baskets fell apart quickly – Bought two "handmade wicker baskets" which both completely feel apart within 1-4 months. The first one they replaced but made me pay shipping (against Australian Consumer Law). Haven't asked for a replacement for the second because I think it will just break as well, will buy another one elsewhere. They had multiple reasons why it might be my fault that it's broken, but they had just had completely normal use on a 4 year-olds bike.

Both great and not – Purchased 2 tricycles and the messy play bench with umbrella. 1 of the tricycles assembled perfectly and is amazing to use. The second one we struggled to get to fit and after numerous back and forth with customer service including videos and three attempts to get it right, remains unresolved. We now have one perfect bike and one the kids won’t use because it doesn’t ride smoothly. Disappointed

as it was exposed to weather elements. This bike is not designed for certain parts of Australia. And even when stored correctly it still rusts. I wanted a replacement as it is still under warranty however I eas told no and I felt like I was told it was my fault it rusted because I didn’t look after it properly when I did. Money thieves – Honestly have had the worst experience dealing with the customer service of this business. They lack empathy and very much only care about their own financial situation. After wanting to purchase 2 pink scooters for my toddlers for Christmas, at the time I went to purchase only 1 pink one was available so I ordered 1 white one. After I put the… Read more

order through I saw there were more pink ones available for 'preorder' with an ETA date of THE NEXT DAY! I immediately emailed them and asked them to cancel my order so I could place an order for 2 pink scooters. They refused and said the order had already been processed to their warehouse. I did not receive a shipping notification until 48 hours later so I do not believe this to be true. To find some common ground, I asked if they would pay for the return postage of one of the scooters ($28 each) and I would pay the postage on the new pink scooter I was going to order. They flat out refused and made me pay another $56 in postage (after already paying $56 postage for the first order) to have the white one returned and a new pink one shipped. The white one arrived and was not white! It was very clearly grey. After all that, I ended up paying the return postage and paid postage for a new scooter as well and then also had to follow up on the refund one week after the white scooter had been received by them. Will not order again from this company based on this experience and absolute refusal to offer customers solutions.

not received my item, nor any further correspondence. When I called, I was only then told by the company that it was actually on back order and they were waiting for an overseas shipment. I requested to cancel my order immediately which they told me they had done. Low and behold, a few days later I received an alert from Aus Post telling me the order that had been cancelled and was now unwanted had been shipped! I contacted Hip Kids immediately and was told it was too late to cancel, even though they had already told me days earlier that my cancellation had been finalised, and made no effort whatsoever to contact me directly to tell me there was an issue with the cancellation. It is false and misleading to advertise items as in stock, when they aren’t even in the country! Had I known it would take 3 months to receive a small children’s bookshelf I would not have placed an order at all! What’s worse though was their total lack of communication and dismal ‘customer care’. Replies were rude, smug, condescending and totally void of any sincere apology, accountability or willingness to make things right. Now I’m stuck with 2 heavy boxes they expect me to haul back to the Post Office to return with 3 small children in tow, and they refuse to organise a courier to collect and rectify their mistake. I would leave less than 1 star if I could and based on the many negative reviews I have since seen, this seems to be an MO for a company clearly in over its head that should not be in business. Steer clear!!

Terrible quality – I received the kids Hampton chairs and they had white spray paint on the rattan area. The company get the products overseas and clearly don’t do quality checks on them. After waiting months to receive these I am so disappointed. I contacted hip kids to be told I am now required to send the chair back, at my own expense and time to then wait for a replacement. Very overpriced for the quality of the products.

Terrible quality – Purchased the teepee tent, and straight away it looked poorly made. It's cheap wood and material, and the base has poor fasteners that hold nothing together. Waste of time and money, you could make your own for less and of better quality

Poor quality, bad instructions, better alternatives – You can find the same quality products from other vendors that aren't as expensive. I've bought a kitchen and teepee from hipkids and the instructions on both were terrible, they also don't label parts or provide decent images to help you distinguish between parts. Poor quality photos and directions overall. I will never buy from them again.

Fantastic customer service & great quality products – I have done a couple of orders from hip kids now and both times had fantastic experiences. Had a couple of hick up but they are more than happy to help solve the problem. For example a pre order was pushed back so I just got a refund and ordered another product. Packing and delivery times are quite long but I have been lucky that I have done my orders in advance. But overall I will definitely shopping with them again Show reply

Then get an email after asking where my delivery is that it has been pushed to 4 February, now mind you they are advertising toyboxes on line that will be delivered 4 February, how is that possible given their backlog? I send 6 emails and called 5 times with a recorded message and an email response with, we will get back to you. FINALLY, I get a call back advising me re toybox and I decided to cancel the order with a refund. I ordered another toybox on line with a delivery of 7 days. Whilst this company has lovely items, the service is atrocious.
