meetings, accommodating our requests and navigating the estate’s covenants like a true pro. He made us feel welcome to discuss our concerns and expectations, and helped us perfect our floorplan. Best of all, he remained in contact with us throughout the build.
As we progressed, we were transferred from department to department, and the rep from each department was amazing.
Cara Burton was our prestart consultant, had the patience of a saint! She was knowledgeable about the products, and quick to reply to our emails, answering our tons of questions, and making we felt comfortable with all our selections before finalising everything.
After prestart, Maddi Pitcher took over for the construction stage. She’s a rockstar! Maddi deserves all the praise one could give! Her promptness, her organisation and problem-solving skills were incredible, especially during the final mad dash toward handover. She genuinely cared, and made everything seem effortless although we’re sure it was anything but. We struck gold having her as our client liaison!
Our site supervisor David dos Santos also deserves high praise! He was thorough and proactive. It shows when someone takes pride in what they do.
We also appreciate how responsive Lynn from the maintenance team has been when attending to minor outstanding issues. Great to know they have the same level of care post handover.
And a big shout out to all the contractors and workers who were part of Home Group’s team and helped bring our beautiful house to life!

One area we feel could be improved is the pre-start meeting and documentation, to ensure selections and requests are clearly understood and accurately recorded so nothing is missed or misworded.

The quality of our home is honestly amazing and something that stood out to us throughout the whole build. Every stage was completed to such a high standard and you can really see the care and attention to detail that went into the build.
A huge shoutout as well to our site supervisor, who was absolutely incredible throughout the build. He was so switched on, organised, proactive, and always on top of everything happening on site. Nothing ever felt forgotten or delayed unnecessarily, and you could tell he genuinely cared about making sure things were done properly and efficiently. Having someone so reliable overseeing the build made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free.
We were also blown away by how quickly our home came together without compromising on quality. Our slab went down in August 2025 and we received key handover in May 2026!! Watching everything progress so quickly and consistently was honestly exciting, and Home Group made the entire journey feel seamless from start to finish.

Anna made the Prestart process a smooth experience. She was incredibly patient, took the time to explain different options, and helped guide me towards selections that worked well together. Her advice was extremely helpful and influenced several decisions that I otherwise might not have considered.
During construction, Emily and Kate were fantastic. Whenever I had a question, I received a detailed response. Their communication and willingness to help gave me a lot of confidence throughout the build.
My one suggestion would be regarding the pre-construction and administration phase. It's naturally a long period where you're waiting on approvals, documentation, and various behind-the-scenes processes. A few more updates through the portal during this stage would go a long way, even if it's just to let customers know where things are at. The communication during construction was excellent, so bringing some of that into the earlier stages would make the overall experience even better. The finished product is great too.
I upgraded to the designer kitchen with Della Vita cabinetry and Westinghouse appliances, and it looks amazing. I’m also really happy with the laundry, scullery, and bathrooms. The selections came together beautifully and have a genuinely premium feel to them.
Overall, I feel like Home Group delivered a quality home for a fair price. More importantly, they were genuinely customer-focused, which made a big difference to my experience. Building a home can be stressful, but Home Group made the process far smoother than I expected. I'd definitely build with them again.

On a more serious issue a home groups representative found their way it to my house after handover. No real answers just deflection. Trying to out it back on me. Terrible .
Makes me nervouse about having to call them back if another issues arises down the track.
Dealing with their admin since I made my last payment and since I got my keys has been an absolute joke.
They have wiped their hands clean. Got their money and forgot about their customers.
This is the long story short. I will never use home group agains.
Great at first, building was an easy process. However, HomeGroup denied liability to all cracks I have on my walls and the contractor who came to fix a bulkhead on my living room didn't finish the job and never came back. I'm extremely disappointed with Home Group's sales process. After purchasing a land and home package, the title was delayed over a year. directly led to a full refund for the land ($3000).
I strongly advise against Home Group due to poor management, lack of communication, and unreliable sales practices. Consider Satterley for land-only packages.
I hope Home Group takes this review seriously, addresses my concerns, and trains their sales representatives to improve customer service and transparency. And also hope to be compensated back my $2000 I’ve paid and nothing been delivered as part of the sketch drafting..
