delayed... - 3 title delays.. - land potentially not having power and being told we would have to pay for a generator if electricity was not connected by the time the slab was done.. - NOW - 2 building permit refusals because people in your business can't do there job properly. They do this stuff everyday and many have probably been to Uni. You would think getting all points correct before submission of something so important would be the right procedure. Im so angry at the lack of attention to detail and customer care.

This is our first build and with all these set backs it is affecting us, as we are renting but you builders don't give a dam as long as you get your money. We went with you because you were meant to be the better compared to the others, my family recommended you. I think it was a massive mistake and we are devastated with the whole process as far. Bad for Dale Alcock's reputation.

I will say one good point [Name Removed], who is Manager communicating with me is polite and bubbly. But this makes no difference if the job is not getting complete. We have a right to be angry and upset, the people who keep messing up need to take accountability and do the job right the first time.

chapter. Not it cannot be done, but how do we find you a way? So many options for people on a budget too. I built my previous house with BGC and it was nothing but a nightmare of a 3.5 year build. You would've thought I'd had enough of building however with house pricing going up it seemed the only way I can get my foot back in. Uliana has been an angel, so helpful, constant communication with everything. Honestly I still get emotional thinking about the kindness she has shown me. She helped find a block and house plan that suits my budget. It may not be my forever home, but it will be mine. Instead, building with Homebuyers Centre became one of the most emotionally and financially distressing experiences we’ve ever faced. After finding ourselves in an extremely rare and challenging… Read more

situation, we sought guidance from those we believed were there to support us. Instead, we were left chasing answers, met with vague replies, brushed-off concerns, or complete silence. When we tried to advocate for ourselves, we were often treated with frustration or rudeness, and made to feel like a nuisance for asking questions. The most distressing moment was a call with a senior team member who told us we’d face an estimated $44,000 price increase, despite the delays being out of our control. When we asked what we could do if we couldn’t afford it, we were told, “You’ll need to find it,” and were even encouraged to “threaten” our land agent, something we found unprofessional and deeply upsetting. This came after being told just a week earlier that a price increase was “highly unlikely” and estimates only extended 1–2 months ahead. Suddenly, we were quoted figures through to August 2025 with no breakdown or clarity, only mixed messages and mounting confusion. There was a month of back and forth, with little to no support or solution. This situation added enormous stress to what was already a difficult time. Our decision to withdraw was ultimately due to ongoing financial strain and employment challenges. It wasn’t until we submitted a formal cancellation notice that we finally received clear communication, at which point the price increase was suddenly dropped and a price hold was offered. Sadly, it came too late. We dealt with multiple people at Homebuyers Centre, yet no one took ownership. Communication was inconsistent, and we felt like just another number in their system. As a young couple already under financial pressure, this process left us disheartened and overwhelmed. What should have been a milestone became a source of anxiety and disappointment. We have completely lost trust in this process and cannot, in good conscience, recommend building with Homebuyers Centre. If you’re considering them, please take this as a serious warning. What we endured was not just disappointing, it was emotionally exhausting, financially damaging, and entirely avoidable. No first homebuyer should be treated this way. Do your research, ask the hard questions early, and proceed with extreme caution. We wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Furthermore when David my agent left, no one informed me or kept me up to date with my build. I have been pushed back over a year in delays. I no longer would recommend.
