Hoselink 9-Pattern Sprinkler 5640 Questions

I bought it last week for my 3x5 m rectangular backyard upon recommendation from the helpdesk. I connected it to my existing 10m Hoselink compact portable hose but the water only sprays out at around 2m max. It means I keep having to move it around even though it’s a tiny backyard. Is there anything else I can do to make it go wider?

Good afternoon, thank you for your question. With the 10m Compact Hose Reel only having a very small diametre hose installed, this might be affecting the pressure. Can you please ensure that your tap is turned on full? Also, remove the Hoselink fitting from the sprinkler and just double check to make sure the filter is clear. Kind regards, The Hoselink Team

I have the exact same problem as above, however I am using a 30 metre hose reel. The sprinkler spray is comically small. I have checked the fittings, the tap is on full and the filter is clear. Not sure what else I can do but user my old $3 sprinkler.

I am sorry you are having this issue! With any Hose Reel, the pressure will automatically be reduced compared to a normal hose due to the way the water does need to travel which would then affect the use of the sprinkler. Hi. I have a 5640 9 pattern sprinkler purchased some years ago. We are on very sandy soil. Some of the jets are blocked giving a very uneven spray pattern particularly the semi circle outlet which now only sprays from one side and just dribbles from the other. Hi Mohammed, If you have Hoselink fittings already on your hose, you wont need any further fittings to allow you to connect the 9 Pattern Sprinkler. Kind regards, The Hoselink Team

how large is the watering pattern? my yard is 11 meters wide and 40 meters long. Obviously I don't expect it go that long and am happy to move it, but I would like it to stretch out to 11 meters wide in a square pattern.

Hi there, thank you for your question. The 9-pattern sprinkler generally reaches around 6 - 8metres so might not be suitable for yourself. Best option for you to look at would be our Oscillating sprinkler, this covers around 20m x 15m, however you can adjust this by turning certain jets on/off and changing the width to suit the are you have. Hi. I love the 9-Pattern Sprinkler, but find that it is often difficult to change the pattern. Also, the silver fan/rotor doesn't budge. What should I do to better maintain this product? (I think the problem has to do with a build up of dirt, etc. - is it possible to take the unit apart to clean it out?)

Hi Kath, thank you for taking the time to leave us a question. We are sorry to hear you are having troubles with your 9-Pattern Sprinkler. It sounds like this may be a lubrication issue within the system which has seized up and become difficult to turn. Therefore if you turn the sprinkler upside down, you will see a black plug and some teeth in the middle of the base. This black plug turns when you change the spray pattern so I should imagine this has got stuck making it very stiff. If you could please spray a silicone based lubricant all around that plug, this should loosen the system up and make this a lot easier to turn for you.
