Awaiting urgently my acknowledgement of Notice of Intention to claim super as a tax deduction. Have sent two emails, both have gone unresponded to. I know it's busy but it's been over two weeks without even a reply. I went through the exact same thing last year, unfortunately, so can't blame it on C-19, just trying to get this piece of paper was a nightmare, so much wasted time for what should be a simple process. Phone system also gives no estimated wait time, no callback option, and can't get through.

Hi hostplus, my super balance was deducted on Wednesday 20th May, I could see it then but so far I haven't received any text advicing about the payment to my bank account. I was wondering why it's taking so along since you guys already deducted it already

Hi Manny, we’re sorry you’re still waiting. Once funds leave Hostplus it generally takes 1-3 days for your bank to process the deposit before you receive funds in your nominated bank account. You should receive a text message from us. You can check that we have your correct mobile phone number by logging into member online and selecting Personal details under the Member tab of the main menu. To check the bank details you listed at the time of your early release application log into your myGov account. Thank you, Hostplus

Hi all, it's same thing happened with me. I get the notification from ATO 22/04. But today is 9/05 I still haven't received my money. They are trying to hold our money for no reason. I called them several times they asked me to wait and wait. This is very unethical and fraud. People need help at this moment but they are not help but lie to us.

Any updates Hostplus? Today marks #12 business days since I was approved by ATO to have my funds released. That's 2.5 weeks. I was advised on Tuesday 05/05 by a Hostplus Customer Rep that my money would be in my account within 2-3 days. Still nothing, and my account balance remains the same. I will be registering my complaint with AFCA today, I will also be notifying the United Workers Union and Senator Hume.

They’re all crap... they keep promise that we will get it in 2-3 days...my one approved since 22/4 keep calling them and the answer... it’s still in the process....
After this I and my wife will change to another fund who provide more good quality service.

I got the notification from the ato on 21/4 that was approved, hostplus paid into my account on the 27/4 , then my bank regected it because I put my actual account name instead off my full name in the application section "account name" , yes ok my bad (bank still should not have regected) but today is the 11/5 and hostplus still cannot tell me when it will be in although my funds were bounced back that same day, i lost my damn job march 23rd as a headchef - 16 years with hostplus, you would think in this pandemic situation they would be on there game and get this done a hell off alot quicker! Im about to ring now and loose my cool! P.S . I had to ring my bank to find out they had regected it 4 days after, there was no heads up from hostplus or anything! Maybe check with your bank if this has happened to you as well.

We all should report to media. I have informed channel 7 & 9. I have seen google that some super fund can decline the access of super fund. Not sure its true or not. If it so they should inform us. I dont have job & getting job seeker which is not sufficient. I badly need this fund. Why they are playing with us.. how do we report or where to go for this issue..??

Nope. 10 business days today. Only communication received from Hostplus in any form was only after I lodged a complaint with AFCA. After calling Resolutions at Hostplus again this morning they still can not confirm when mine will be processed. No reasonable reason communicated from Hostplus as to why they could not meet the 5 day (or even 10 day) ATO payment guidelines.
I now have a splitting headache, can assume it’s stress related as this Hostplus process is exhausting...
If any formal legal action is taken against Hostplus for unlawful delays then I will happily put my hand up to join.
CEO David Elia & CIO Sam Sicilia will one day want to eat at restaurants, go on holidays or train Hostplus staff at conference centres...their members (who may have to serve them) will not forget how they were treated in times of need!

I too have been totally screwed over by hostplus. After having the early release super approved by the taxation department on the 22 of April. I got a very weird text from host plus on the Sunday night See below

COVID-19 compassionate grounds claim of $10,000.00 has been paid. You should receive your funds in your nominated bank account within 3 - 5 business days.
So I kept checking to see if funds had been deposited into my account.

By the Friday the money still wasn’t deposited. After trying to get through for hours I finally got some one who told me that the moneys had been deposited. I asked what account number. I then found out that they had supposedly deposited into the wrong account. If they did deposit the money at all which I very much doubt. Since then I have been trying to get them to deposit the money into the correct account.

I am still trying so have not seen one cent of the ten thousand. I will be contacting all of the tv stations tommorow as host plus is making it impossible comming up with new stories and excuses every time i call them. They never return promised calls and keep lying about when the monies will be in. Do not fall for their crap about depositing into the wrong account. It is garbage.

Let’s see how they respond when the tv stations get a hold of all of this info.

Hi there, sorry to hear of your difficulties with Hostplus. Can you ask them for a deposit transaction number & then contact your bank?
It’s like the boy who cried wolf - with all Hostplus’ lies it’s hard to believe anything they say.
If you’re still having problems email them at resolutions@hostplus.com.au and if you don’t receive a satisfactory reply within 24hrs lodge a complaint with AFCA. Good luck.

When exactly are host plus going to be making payment? I also got the text of approval from the ATO on the 22nd of April however no update as to where my money is ????? The phone line is always closed . I managed to get through to someone this morning and the phone line was so bad it cut out and he never called me back after waiting on hold for 1 hour. This is really poor customer service. I need to know when I’ll be getting my money.

Hi Kelly, I also received approval on 22/04. I got through to Hostplus this morning and the girl apologised and advised that due to the high number of applicants, there's a delay to their processing. However she did say that today is the last day for them to process our payment in what is considered a 'reasonable' amount of time I.e. 10 business days from initial ATO approval, so I should receive my payment within 3 working days. It's very disappointing and now I'm waiting again.

Can someone give any update of early release of super..?? I have got text message from ATO on 24th April that fund has been released but i haven’t received yet. I have tried to call HOSTPLUS but call receive is closed. ATO advised its been released in 3-5 business days even in your phone system its saying 5 business days but i haven’t received yet. If you are not available to answer the call at least send email feedback what’s actually going on. All other super fund released their fund & people got it but why hostplus taking so long. You have no right to put people in dark. You dont answer the call & not replying back email as well.

Please give some update or information what is actually going on & when i am able to receive the fund.

I am in the same situation than you. I was approved by ATO on 22/4/2020 And today 4/5/2020 still waiting for my money. I tried to contact Hostplus by phone and email but no answer from them. I have no idea what’s going on. We deserved at least respect and some answers.

Dont hold your breath I’m on 10 days tomorrow and still no idea as to what is going on. Calling e-mails nothing will get you the answer. It has only been since I contacted the AFCA that Hostplus complaints department has contacted me and told me they will call back later today.. still waiting and logged in to my super nothing showing. Seems like Hostplus simply do not care in fact I’d say they feel like they can do as they please with our money. I have been loyal but as soon as this money is in my account, I will be with out a doubt be removing every cent I have with them. Originally 5 days to process moved to 7 then moved to 10 and still nothing I can only imagine your next statement will be 20days or 60 days or why not 356 days. Interesting to see what happens either way I have my complaint lodged formally with AFCA and will force there hand and claim out of pocket expenses from with holding funds

Jack25 I have tried to call them, at least 10 times per day. The phones aren't working. It's an automated message saying the call volumes are high and they aren't taking calls. I still try incase something changes.

My question like so many it seems is when will you be paying my early release Super! I have been very loyal to Host plus for a very long time and this has been a very hard choice I have had to make to draw from my super. It’s truly brought to light just how little Hostplus actually care for there customers I was approved for the early release on the 22nd of April from the ATO something your staff have acknowledged I have been told 5 business days which has now come and gone. Not a word from Host plus. I have called your customer service multiple times to express the situation I am in which requires the funds urgently thanks to this Pandemic. Each time I have been fobbed of with oh well you just have to wait. I have now waited despite it being urgent and still nothing from Hostplus.. I would appreciate this matter being corrected immediately or mark my words every cent I have with Host plus and I can reassure you there is a very large sum will be moved to a fund that will infact help its customers in there time of need. It’s funny I have already received the funds and had no problem with another superfund I drew some of my allowance from why is Hostplus who suggest they are all about there members care so little.

Sounds the same as my situation, approved on the 22nd by ATO and called Hostplus multiple times to be told there is a "delay" on my account that will take an extra week when you ask them what the delay is they just say it could me many diffrent things

Why will it be taking Hostplus up to 10 days to make payment for approved applicant for COVID 19 super early release. Other funds are already making payments. The ato approval letter states that payment will be made within 5 days.

I recieved my approval letter from the ato on the 21st. My hostplus super account is still not withdrawn let alone payed into my bank acount!A friend submitted there claim on the 22nd and already have the funds clear with another super fund. What is the issue hostplus?

I brought this us with them yesterday too
I have a staff member who appied 2 days after me in america and has been paid.
And another one that appied 4 days after me through REST and he has been paid too.
I think after this is over and they finally pay their members wnats theirs we all jump ship to a business that CARES.

After 2 calls today to talk to someone about selling shares now as market is high was told we will request a call back within 48 hours.
ARE YOU SERIOUS MARKET COULD BE WIPED OUT BY THEN. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I do not know this answer. I am not with Hostplus. I am following up my wife's claim submitted to Hostplus in February and has not been finalised yet.

Thank you for reaching out. The ATO is stating that they plan to process these benefits within 4 business days of application. Once we receive a determination from the ATO that your claim should be paid, it will take us 5 to 10 business days to pay your benefit to your nominated bank account. I submitted my claim On the 20th in the early hours of the morning. I must have been 1 of the 1st.I received the ato letter sayin they have authorised release of my super and also notified hostplus on the 21st. My friend with another super fund already has his money and he submitted his form on the 21st. He got it today. Why is taking time to release it surely i was the 1st 1 at hostplus. :-/
