Larissa (CRM) – the heart behind the journey Larissa has been our steady compass and conduit into Hudson throughout this process. She is responsive, incredibly organised, and genuinely invested in making sure we feel supported at every stage. She makes sure we understand what’s happening, provides timely response to our asks and makes sure we feel satisfied and confident moving forward. Her responsiveness, problem solving and consistency have taken so much stress out of this journey, and we are truly grateful for her.
Philipp (GM, Hudson NSW) – leadership that builds trust Philipp’s involvement has been one of the biggest reasons we feel at ease with a build of this scale. He is approachable, always just one call or email away, and he truly listens. Fair, thoughtful, thorough, and solutions‑focused, he embodies the kind of leadership that is rare in the building industry. Projects come with issues, things break, mistakes are made but where many owner‑builder relationships break down is when management becomes distant, communication breaks, there is no escalation path and the owners are left stranded with their million dollar builds. On‑site progress Our Site Supervisor, Steve, has kept construction moving at an impressive pace, and the workmanship on-site has been excellent. We also appreciate his coordination with trades, timely responses on our questions and his genuine experienced advice. Fundamentals matter when you ar emanaging an extra large 60 squares build and and they show in Steve's work. Although we had an early workmanship/design challenge at the slab stage and a couple of other minor issues, Steve helped resolve them professionally, and the build has continued smoothly with strong momentum. As we head toward pre‑lining, Steve’s scheduling and on‑site oversight are helping keep everything on track.
Overall The speed of the build, the high-quality workmanship, and above all, management's communication and customer care have exceeded our expectations. We feel informed, supported, and genuinely looked after. Thank you to Hudson Homes, especially Larissa, Steve and Philipp, for your care, dedication, and professionalism. the layout to move the alfresco to a different side of the house, and cut some length off so it would fit our block. Our incredible sales agent, Shelley, went back and forth with the design/quoting team relentlessly for us, and by the time we went to a contract, we had a very accurate quote. For example, we were able to choose all of our own appliances (I did not want the standard inclusions), and have hard flooring taken out of the build as we wanted engineered timber and I knew I could find it for a better price than their upgrade offered. Our kitchen layout was also completely altered (turned from a standard island layout into a L shaped bench around the walls, and moving the kitchen sink out of the island), and I was able to completely customise the cabinetry to get exactly the drawer layout I wanted, for both the kitchen and scullery. Shelley was also very thorough in making sure we had allowances for a possible DA as there was some uncertainty if extra piering would be needed due to underground utilities on the block. As such, we had very minimal unforeseen costs through the build (one $600 fee for equipment hire as the electricity connection had been buried and they couldn't find it after days of digging!). It is important to note that everyone was always so patient and accomodating, and their flexibility was amazing, I'm still surprised that we were able to change the plans so much and it didn't cost us, in fact it saved us money as the overall footprint of the build was slightly smaller! The whole process from our first meeting with Shelley to the start of the build did take us longer than we'd hoped (their was quite a bit of time between paying the deposit, to design appointments etc) but I suppose that's just the nature of it. Once our build started, Jack, our site manager, was on top of everything and always available for a site visit or phone call. He was thorough and quick to notice things that hadn't been done right the first time (such as a shower niche, that for some reason had to be moved 2 or 3 times before it was in the right spot!). There was one area of workmanship in the kitchen that we were not happy with, and probably needed to be sterner than we'd hoped to be, but this was completely redone to an excellent standard, with minimal delay. On the whole, if a mistake was made, they were quick to take accountability and rectify the issue. Through the process, Jack was incredibly good natured and was genuinely invested in us getting the best out of our build. We would highly recommend Hudson Homes to any wanting to build.

us to create a floor plan that suited our family's needs and lifestyle perfectly. She listened to what we wanted and made sure our plan was tailored to meet all our needs and wants. Her knowledge, patience, and attention to detail made the beginning of our building journey a very positive experience.
One of the biggest challenges we experienced throughout the build was communication due to multiple changes in Customer Relationship Managers and Site Supervisors. Having different people involved at various stages made communication inconsistent at times and occasionally led to confusion.
Although we had two Customer Relationship Managers during our build, our first CRM, Eden, was exceptional. She always communicated clearly, responded promptly to our questions, and made sure we were kept informed every step of the way. She was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Our second CRM, Vicki, was generally helpful and got things done when required; however, there were times when her communication came across as abrupt or dismissive, particularly when we were asking questions or seeking clarification. Overall, she was okay to deal with, but the customer experience could have been better.
We also had several Site Supervisors throughout the build. Our most recent supervisor, Scott, has been by far the most helpful and cooperative. He genuinely listened to our concerns, worked hard to accommodate our requests, and always tried his best to ensure our needs were met. Even now during the post-construction stage, he responds quickly to messages and ensures defects are addressed promptly. We honestly wish we had Scott as our supervisor from the very beginning. One area where Hudson Homes could improve is providing more design guidance and recommendations during the planning stage. As clients, we rely on the expertise of professionals who design and build homes every day. Sometimes homeowners may request something without fully understanding how it will look or function once completed. We believe the team should be more proactive in advising clients when certain design choices may not be the best option. For example, in our kitchen, two power points on the splashback were positioned differently. One was placed neatly near a side wall, while the other was installed much closer to the middle of the splashback. As a result, any appliance plugged into it leaves visible cables in an otherwise open and clean-looking space. This is something that could have been identified and discussed during the design stage.
Another area where we feel better advice could have been provided was regarding accessibility features and electrical planning. Our master bedroom and ensuite were specifically designed to be disability accessible. During the consultation process, we requested a sensor-operated vanity light in the ensuite. However, it was never clearly explained that the sensor light would not stay on continuously when needed. A simple recommendation, such as installing a switch with auto, off, and manual modes, would have provided much better functionality and avoided ongoing inconvenience.
Similarly, because accessibility was a major priority for our family, we requested light switches to be positioned conveniently beside the bed. While this request was accommodated, it resulted in there being no light switch near the bedroom entry. The consultant could have pointed this out and discussed alternative options before finalising the design. For a family with a person who has accessibility needs, having to enter a dark room before reaching a light switch is not ideal. We made it clear throughout the process that accessibility and ease of use were important to us, so it was disappointing that these practical concerns were not identified and addressed during the design stage. With the level of experience Hudson's consultants have, we expected more guidance on these types of decisions.
Despite these concerns, the overall experience with Hudson Homes was positive. The build quality is good, our home turned out well, and there were several team members who genuinely cared about delivering a good outcome. While communication consistency, design consultation, and accessibility planning could be improved, we are ultimately happy with our home and grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life.

reviews. Our experience was a very friendly and responsive Team, however they do not provide professionalism as I would expect it and as we deliver to our own clients. No defect lists are shared, no communication of when defects will be fixed.you have to constantly follow up. If you do, you do get a responds quickly which is good. The Site Manager has an excuse for every single defect you pointing out, but all you really need is this to be fixed.
All in all a good building experience and probably heaps better than other builder out there however there is room for improvement and by changing these little things it could lift them to the next level.

last Christmas are still scattered throughout the house. We’ve also done the 90 day maintenance inspection back in June, all issues laid out (over 100 photos of issues to be rectified taken) 2 things have been rectified, and probably only due to our persistences. Speak to the warranty supervisor who attended, he says items still lie with construction manager (12 months post construction!) speak to construction manager says he needs to speak to the warranty team. Ironically when a payment was due, they were very attentive, now that there are issues that they have promised to resolve, there is no care. I appreciate their are trade shortages, which is why I have not left a review previously but 12 months is more than a reasonable time frame to expect rectification or at least some regular updates on what is happening. Seems the way to get someone to want to assist you is if you want to provide them with a new build lead. I am not one to leave a negative review as I believe in trying to work with a business directly but it’s a bit hard when no one wants to help you and you have exhausted all options. I would not recommend unless you are prepared for the build to never be completely finished as agreed.
Worst company I have ever had to deal with in 35 years – My Build was managed so poorly from start to finish. Total of 4 site supervisors. 3 CRMs. Final product is just ok.
