Ordered online and they sent me the wrong size then told me it was against their policy to refund sales. I told them that according to consumer law they need to refund me because it was their mistake and she told me no they don't because their policy clearly states they don't refund sales. No apology for sending me the wrong size and wasting my time having to come into the store.

I ordered online but needed to exchange for a bigger size. I rang Castle Hill store to enquire about doing this and spoke to Caitlin. Hype are very lucky to have such a pleasant and efficient staff member. Nothing was a problem for her and she was extremely friendly with a "smile in her voice". Thank you Caitlin. he would email head office and get back to me within a few days. 10 days later and nothing.

I have also tried emailing them and I just get a generic response telling me to go in store, well this isn’t working. If I don’t get some assistance I will need to contact consumer protection.

store - the store manager was without even understanding fact was talking not very welcoming way and more of rude way like it is not her problem. Same time she then apologised and ordered me new pair of shoes. Today we received new pair and shoes they are exactly same issue .

Very disappointing to see a big brand shop doing business like this.

Can’t be bothered to go store again by wasting my own money for someone’s ignorance.

But this is not expected from Hype.

processes and lack of leadership made the situation even worse. On my first visit, the staff acknowledged the issue but incorrectly told me to submit a replacement request online—something their own customer service later confirmed was not the correct process. On my second visit, a staff member at the store ([Name Removed]), was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She refused to call a manager, stating that she had “clear direction” from head office not to accept any products for replacement. Her lack of experience in handling the situation was evident, and when challenged, she resorted to using coarse language, showing zero care for the brand or its customers.

This store takes no ownership of product issues and leaves customers without any resolution. Instead of standing by the quality of their products, they avoid accountability and provide terrible customer service. If you value fair treatment, professionalism, and a company that respects its customers, do not shop here. There are far better alternatives that actually care about their reputation and customers.

Faulty Shoes and the store wouldn’t even look at them because they were not in the 30 day return period – Nike shoes only worn once a week on sports day for my daughter. The toes on one shoe is separating from the shoe. If I had bought them through Nike they would have replaced shoe. The lady in store was rude when I took them in wouldn’t look at them at all. that’s fine We’ll check in the system and exchange them. They couldn’t find me in the system and told me to come next week as they are very busy and can’t help me same day. He took my number and promised me a call back which I never received.

When I bought them They took my details in system, My name, contact number, Email address. I asked them If I need to hold the receipt, They said they got me in system as well so Doesn’t matter.

After not receiving any response what so ever, I went back to store with shoes and gentleman served me didn’t have any idea (No information is been passed) He Was very patient and Told me he’ Give me a call back which he Did with a negative response, That I don’t have proof of purchase and they can’t Do anything about it .*They have added my details in the system**now they cannot find me !!! Is that customer fault ??? Please Think before you spend your Hardworking Money here ,They don’t provide any warranty on their products .

Northland Santa's Helper – I had a poor experience with Hype online but then went to Nothland Hype where (?manager) Tarin was so helpful, friendly and understanding. Thevshop didnt have size so he ordered me another pair with priority delivery to arrive day prior to xmas. They were a fabulous Xmas success. Thanks Tarin.

Westfield Store Parramatta - Manager – I had an issue with a pair of Docs I bought and wanted to get an exchange. The manager of this store was very helpful in facilitating this exchange. She has a real no-nonsense approach and completed my request quickly and efficiently. The shoes were shipped to me 2 days later. Be careful about change of mind when purchasing. You're only allowed to exchange or put it in a gift card if there was any discount to the shoes, even if it's only a day after. Try getting from platypus or from another shoe store. Show details

impression of almost like don't want to be here.

After trying on several pairs and finally deciding on the one I wanted, both staff members then went to the back room when one returned to inform me without explanation that the shoes couldn't be sold and if i wanted to order online. While I understand if there’s a valid reason, it would have saved everyone time if I’d been informed earlier that the pair was for display only, adding to the unprofessional atmosphere, I saw a friend deliver a drink to one of the staff and chatting continued. There was no further assistance, and we walked out.

I strongly recommend the store consider a basic customer service training course, while I understand light personal conversations are fine, they are just better reserved for quiet periods rather than at the expense of customers and sales.

I then visited Foot Locker across the way, where the staff were efficient, friendly, and helpful, I left with both the shoes I wanted and a far better experience.

Misleading – This is not a reflection on their merchandise (which is basically a range of international brands) but more on their business practices. suggest shopping around, especially at a particular retailer with a black and yellow storefront or online, to avoid paying for overpriced goods that can be had for less.

Hype DC and Salomon are both awful – Hype DC removed this review from their website. Do not buy Salomon shoes ( XT-6) and I highly recommend you steer clear of hype DC who do not honour their warranty policies and delete negative reviews from their website. quality of these. Purchased in May from Hype DC and I had to buy replacement sneakers in August (only used for walking, not trail running) and I took impeccable care of them. The easy laces took about 4 times longer to get on and off than regular laces, and they're so thin you can't buy your own replacement laces if you want the option of switching. They scuffed the literal first time I wore them while I was still inside my carpeted apartment. The backs have completely ripped through in under four months.even though I only wear them walking around while I run errands. To top it off, I was told Hype DC don't offer refunds for Salomon shoes. I was also told they changed factories recently and the quality of Salomon will only continue to decline. Save your money!!!!

tennis match of communication, back and forth, they suggested the following courses of action:

1. Return the shoes (faulty) - I declined as the shoes are fine. The laces are busted. 2. Let's give you a 10% refund - this was quickly retracted as I made my purchase in store and was dealing with the online division :( 3. How about 20% discount off your next purchase? I declined as I don't need another set of kickers, just good laces. 4. What if I purchased a set of Hype laces and they would refund the shipping? What? Why should I make another purchase to rectify a dodgy product?

I arrived at the only conclusion left. Leave the conversation. Life is too short. Go and buy myself another set of laces and shop elsewhere when I need a new set of shoes.

Yet, no one acknowledged myself nor my partner who was walking around too. There was two young girls standing behind the counter chatting amongst themselves and didn't once say a word.

I've worked in retail before and if I did this I would have been roasted for it by my Manager/Head Office so I'm writing this to pass on the info. I don't usually complain but it genuinely made me feel so uncomfortable I had to leave and can honestly say I'll never go back to that specific store.

Maybe teach your staff to greet your customers as I can't imagine how others felt too.

Excellent customer service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Hype Frankston- I visited the Frankston store last week and had the most pleasurable customer service from Erykah. After going to other various shoe shops for my son to be returning to school and not even being acknowledged we found hype dc.
