I was very disappointed with a service member in the children’s department on Monday. I wanted one of the chimpanzee plushies and the only 2 you had left was on display, I asked the service member to please get one down for me and she said “sorry we too busy today so I can’t do that for you, come back when we have more stock” I love an hour away,… Read more
she was not busy when I asked her, but she did seem like I was bothering her. Very disappointed in the lack of service.
Products are great but service nice but not enough staff to deal with customers. Huge line up and wait time to go through customer service Checkout. Also buying food products is self serve will not be doing that again ever. I saw people in front of me not putting items through no one was checking so I assume a lot gets stolen. I won't be back. Bought their IKEA Solarvet outdoor LED 24 lantern solar lights. Got them home (NE Victoria). Solar panel looked weathered and some LEDs showed signs of rust. Undertook the very fiddly task of assembling the 24 lanterns. Some needed glue to stay attached. Turned it on and four lanterns don’t work. WTH. Can I be butted to dismantle them, repackage them and drive 3.5 hours to return them? Probably not so $40 wasted. DO BETTER IKEA! Show details

We recently purchased fitted sheets and pillow covers from a store. Upon opening them at home, we were surprised to find the pillow covers were unusually large, resembling body pillow covers. Our Australian pillows are standard or average length, so we are still trying to determine the size of these covers.

Delivery by ikea left heavy items against a wall of the house that caused damage to moulding of the house. Delivery driver also left items in a spot when it rained significantly and they didnt call or message in advance to confirm delivery was on route. Current excuses from Ikea's delivery service is that the delivery company said they didnt delivery the items that way even though they sent the photo of delivery proving how they delivered the items. we sent the photo we were provided later back to ikea which was acknowledged but now they want video footage or more.
Very poor support by ikea . Dont get them to deliver items for you
Placed an order on the 8th August. Order was acknowledged. For 4 days the order status was “we are packing your order”. Next day the order was split in two. customer service for the 2nd time asking when I could pick the order up and asked why hadn’t I been notified of when to collect. No sooner had I hung up I received an email saying my order was ready for collection. Went to Ikea Innaloo to pick up Saturday 16th August which was a nightmare trying to navigate the carpark with the usual access to the carpark blocked and no clear signage with alternative access. Revived the glass vases which were thrown in a box with no effort made at all. Absolutely crap service all round IKEA Perth.
Ikea Adelaide delivery service team left the sofa - unusually packed in one big single box - in the garage and not in the room where it was meant to go in for the installer to assemble and position in the correct place. arranged to send an email when they were back in store at North Lakes. Received the email yesterday, under a week from enquiring, went to the store, and with the help of staff found where the flatpacks of the chairs were, loaded up a trolley, went to check out, paid. All done. Very happy with the experience and products, 2 Poang armchairs.
Follow-up · Some weeks now since purchasing my new armchairs (Poang, from Ikea). and am very pleased with the purchase. Comfort is good, fabric is good quality (if it does become soiled in a year or two, I can always buy just new cushions). I ordered and paid for two Ikea built-in wardrobes, their delivery and installation. The flat packs were delivered about a week later on the agreed date. Installation was due to take place about 10 days after that. I received a call from an… Read more
installer on the date before the agreed installation date - he was a subcontractor to Installezi, a company to which Ikea gives its installation work. He and I agreed he would attend the premises for the installation at 8am the following morning and I took a day off work. By 11.30am he had not arrived so I called him and he told me that was going to do the installation that morning but Installezi had directed the job to another subcontractor overnight. I spoke to that person and he said that he could attend at 1pm and told me the installation would take between 6-7 hours (7-8pm at night) I told him that I could not be available after 4pm and the installation could not go ahead. I was extremely annoyed that Installezi had changed arrangements and had not considered my circumstances. Anyway after back and forward with Installezi, we agreed the following Monday morning for the installation to take place. The installer arrived in a timely way and installed the robes only to find that Ikea had not included any of the hinges for the 8 doors and several other components. I contacted Installezi who advised that they would inform Ikea about the missing pieces and I should expect a call from Ikea customer service, to verify the missing pieces. I received a call from Ikea and they said that they could post me the outstanding parts and would book an installer to complete the work on the Thursday. I explained that the parts were unlikely to reach me in time, so I would go to the Ikea store at Temple and personally collect them and take them to the installation site, for installation on the Thursday. They told me that they had an early opening click and collect facility, so on the following day I arrived at the Tempe Ikea early to collect the parts, only to find that they had failed to include some of them. I had to wait around for 1.5 hours for the store to open and collect the correct parts. Today, the date given to me by Ikea, I was again at the installation site and no installer arrived as had been agreed. Trying to speak to somebody at Ikea is an extremely frustrating exercise and you have to attend in person. The incompetence of Installezi and Ikea is astounding. They have had full payment for the robes, delivery and installation for more than a month and I am still waiting to find out when it will be completed. I will never use the services of Ikea again. I would only recommend them if you have plenty of time to run around and follow them up for the services you have already paid for.
Follow-up · Nothing went smoothly. The door hinges finally turned up and the installer came back and installed the doors only to find that there were no door knobs. I had the most amazing responsive service from IKEA. lovely young man in kitchen dept, Jack. He was so attentive, I sent him a video of the tap with water leaking. He straight away agreed it was faulty and arranged for a new tap, it arrived within days. I arranged a plumber, paid for it to be installed. Sent my paid invoice to IKEA so they could see it had been done. Tonight IKEA contacted me and refunded me the plumbers amount! I am so very grateful, no other store I have come across stand by their products like IKEA have done and with such courtesy for the customer. I am just so very grateful for the kindness and brilliant service to customers, I love IKEA, I have not been paid for this review, I am writing this so others know IKEA is reputable and look after customers.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience with IKEA Inaloo, went to the returns desk as one of the dowels went through the side of the cabinet, they replaced it with no fuss at all, just bought me a replacement panel and some spare parts and I was on my way............... The "As Is" area is a treasure trove. Less than a third of the price, including delivery costs, and it's already assembled (possibly imperfectly). You also are saving things from landfill. in helping me understand the process, that it wasn't monstrously heavy, and organising delivery the next day. If Ikea committed to recycling all the flat pack it sells, I would never shop anywhere else. I dropped in after doing some charity work nearby. Normally it overwhelms me; it did this time too. The bonus was at the end of my visit. I'm really happy with the purchase. My only criticism is that the meatball sandwich was underwhelming. As a bit of a banner product for this Swedish company - this sandwich was more of an oopsie let's take a whack at it. It was a miss.

when you go to buy the items, that they sent you an email about saying they just landed and they WILL deliver it to you, there is NO DELIVERY AVAILABLE!!! I am so disgusted and sick to death of this false advertising. Don't send your customers emails saying you have new stock and will deliver and then when they respond MINUTES later to make an order, say you DONT DELIVER! Every time I try and place an order, half the order disappears before you get to checkout because there is no stock, IKEA TAKES the money for what is left, but then sends you an email a few days later saying the stuff you did paid for is not available either and you have to wait a week to get that money back!!!!

IKEA does not sell furniture parts such as inner cushions for current sofas. The cushion lining deteriorates and breaks apart. You'd need to purchase a whole/section of the sofa just to replace a back inner cushion. If that is not definition of re-tarded...

Have just assembled KOLBJORN cabinet. Final step: screwing in a small bracket to provide the surface for the magnet on the back of the door to attach to. The bracket is there though there is nothing in the instructions to explain where it goes - I had to figure that out. The hole for a self tapping screw there, but no screw provided - I'll have to go to Bunnings to buy a packet of screws. Show details

and waiting over an hour to speak with a staff member, we were informed that the installers have cancelled our order, claiming they cannot install cupboards on metal studs because "they will fall off the wall." This is absolute nonsense.
The installer specifically inquired about timber versus metal studs prior to the first scheduled installation and raised no concerns then. At no point during the purchase process were we asked about our wall stud type. I can categorically assure you that IKEA cabinets can be successfully installed on metal stud walls—it has been done countless times without any cabinets falling off. This is complete rubbish.
When I demanded to speak with the Ikea staffs manager, I was refused and told "they would tell me the same thing." The customer service from IKEA and your contracted installers has been disgraceful. I am hosting Christmas, and after seven weeks, my cupboards remain uninstalled. Not one apology has been offered by IKEA, nor any compensation for the inconvenience caused by three installer no-shows.
This entire experience has been an absolute joke perpetrated by IKEA. Your complete lack of professionalism and accountability is staggering.
When planning my kitchen, I mentioned that my kitchen window was slightly lower than usual, and was assured that the cabinet legs were adjustable. ,but -"they will sort it out". I bought and delivered the entire kitchen, including the built-in dishwasher, oven, stovetop, and rangehood. I demolished the entire old kitchen and prepared it for the new kitchen installation. But on the day it was supposed to be installed, Michael (TooEzi) arrived, looked at it, and said it couldn't be installed. And then he left. I paid for the entire kitchen and paid a deposit to TooEzi. I spoke with IKEA, and they suggested using slats instead of plastic legs. I contacted the installation company, and they refused to install it. I had to take everything back to IKEA. And I can't get my deposit back from TooEzi! I've sent several emails, but they're not answering my phone. I've spoken to Ikea numerous times, spent hours on the phone, but they're doing nothing to help me get my deposit back. Ikea isn't a tent at a market, it's a huge international franchise, and I don't believe Ikea doesn't have a contract drawn up by their lawyers. If you're providing installers, you're at least responsible for the legality of their actions. For all my stress I received $90 credit to Ikea shop only, I don't have a kitchen at all now and because it is Christmas time ,people are busy ,it might be February or even March. You ruined my Christmas! And you have to take legal steps to help me get my deposit back because TooEzi is your official partner ! Do not try to wash your hands!

This was an extremely disgusting sight to walk into and the lack of urgency from the staff.
