Shopping here is always easy, I always find things needed without any trouble. All my products purchased are well designed and my hubby finds them easy to assemble. The quality is good and value is also good. The only down side is the line to pay.... it can be long and this is most frustrating!
Just as busy as usual during Covid-19
I went to Ikea to pick up an item I already knew I wanted and was prepared to cue outside before entering as Covid-19 restrictions were in place. I felt lucky to be able to walk straight in, until I faced the crowds of people, mostly families, who did not appear to think much of social distancing. I was amazed by the number of people that were allowed into the store. Despite walking the perimeters of the store rather than the overcrowded designated path, I still had shoppers allowing no space between us. The store manager told me it was up to ...shoppers discretion to social distance. Once through the crowds, I wanted to pay with the cash that had sat in my wallet for the 3 months of isolation, but no, they were not accepting cash. Unfair healthy choices perhaps? Ikea won't accept cash but won't limit the number of shoppers in their store. $$$$$

Sold me an item they didn't have, drove 110km all the way to the store for nothing.
I bought a Markus chair online on Thursday, paid my $229 and said I'd be down on Sunday to pick it up via Click and Collect. As per Ikea's own instructions I SMS'ed my order number and the registration number of my vehicle before I left the house. Fifteen minutes later they SMSed me cancelling my order and telling me to go to the returns and exchanges counter for a refund. I didn't get this until I was in Ikea's carpark in Springvale, 110km later as by then I was on the freeway, the car radio was on and I don't look at my phone.
...so I drove ...220km today in around 3 hours on one of the few periods of spare time I have in the week AND paid $21 in tolls AND paid ~$30 in fuel for a refund of my own money for a chair Ikea sold me that they didn't have. Now call me stupid but I bought a non-existent item on Thursday, and I said I'd be down on Sunday to pick it up, why didn't they tell me on Friday or Saturday that they've taken my money for nothing and we could have processed a refund over the phone? I am never trusting nor shopping at Ikea again, I am EXTREMELY disappointed and as you can probably tell, more than a little peed off.
I have bought two couches, have paid for delivery, was told it would be on 20/5/2020, have not received goods as yet it is now the 3/6/20. I have tried ringing customer service and my arm has fallen off from holding phone for so long. Do not expect ontime delivery from Ikea at the moment, and do not expect to speak to a real person in a hurry either. I am so disappointed with Ikea.
Perfect place to buy
Assembling the stuffs are easy and the manual helps us a lot.
Great collections of things to buy for a new home.
Guys in the store are helpful and knowledgable as they can help with finding the things from the warehouse even.
Going to ikea is a whole experience, the meatballs; the endless assortment of furniture and other items. Good quality and well priced items. Bought my desk from ikea, it's very good and has lasted a while.
This Store is a Disgrace and Risk to shoppers
we attended this store yesterday afternoon and there was NO regard for shoppers health with respect to COVID19,social distancing and enforcement by security on site.
We questioned Staff and security who simply shrugged their shoulders as if COVID19 did not even exist,,it was business as ususal as far as they were concerned with people anywhere adn everywhere in teh store, walking in every direction with prams, trolleys, children as if it was a social outing.
Faulty IKEA kitchen cabinets
Bought a house 5 years ago that had a new IKEA kitchen just installed by previous owner. Some cabinet doors have spilt & cracked due to steam issue from the IKEA dishwasher.
Called IKEA for assistance with this issue. I haven’t had this happen with other kitchens. Previous owner didn’t leave the kitchen receipt unfortunately, so as a result IKEA would not visit to investigate. I was told the 25 year guarantee was no longer valid, due to me not having this receipt.
Was also told to buy new cabinet fronts.
Cabinet doors should not split like t...
Love the Ektorp couches, they look gorgeous
I recently purchased 2 x Ektorp 2 seaters in white. I'm extremely happy, they are beautiful quality (thick fabric & not cheap & nasty!) & they even better than I thought they'd look. I thought they'd maybe not fit well given they have covers (too loose or tight in different places) but they're perfect, they obviously ensure their fit. Easy enough to put together & follow the instructions & Im not good at all at esembling things.
Whatever I look for is always in IKEA. Good quality, good design and good price. Good environment to enjoy. Good customer service too. In addition, good food. Everything is good there.
Money first - Service later
We recently purchased wardrobe. Paid$ 460. Delivery charges $ 69 and assembled $ 160 . Approx $700.
Ikea asked as what time you like to book delivery- they had time slot available and we picked one which suits best to us,which between 3pm-7 pm.
Shocking delivery art at 12.45 pm. Delivery guy call me mention they will be home in 15 min, if not delivery will go back to ikea and we have to rebook it. Goods got delivery as per ikea delivery guys timing bec we don't want to miss out. I call ikea to refund my delivery money back because it did not h...

I cant even give it a one star... Im very frustrated. I purchased a sofa bed last week, I asked before purchasing if I can change the delivery address as we might be moving to a new house before the delivery date. I was told I can just call up and change it, only to find out they are unable to do that. Now I have the sofa bed coming to a house where we no longer live, and my only option is t cancel the order get a refund and purchase it again.... I dont have 3days for the refund to arrive to my account, and certainly not gonna pay out another $800 before I get it....my family is coming from overseas and will have nothing to sleep on! Well done guys.....
Rude customer service
I love IKEA, but their express check out 'guards' are extremely rude and treat you as a convicted criminal. I bought a few small items today, packed it all in my own shopping bag. Was closely watched during the whole process. As soon as I paid for everything, this rude 'guard' jumps in front of me, saying he's gonna count my items. And then unpacks my bag! I had two cranky toddlers with me and wanted to get out asap. But thanks to the rude 'guard', I ended up spending extra time packing my bag second time. I asked him if he was going to put my ...items back into my bag and he just ignored me. Maybe if they want to check customers' bags and flip then inside out, they should pack it all back up? He also had to stick his head into my pram basket and shovel through my kids' stuff. Everytime I have to go through check out they make me feel unwelcomed and treat me as if I have stollen something. Disgusting.
Bought a Bench top
Awesome service and delivery and awesome product. i would 100% go back. they delivery service was on time. the staff in the store where helpful and very friendly and the store is well set out
Limited Kitchen Hardware
Installed another IKEA kitchen for clients recently with the included hardware fittings, and had to run down to Lincoln Sentry again to grab a Cabiseal for the dishwasher. When will they upgrade their fittings to the local standards so installers can offer the best finish without running around for extra parts. Maybe they don't offer them because they're Australian made?
The Swedish have the right idea
I purchased a whole bunch of stuff to set up my nursery over the last few months. Some larger things I had to order and they always got delivered on time. The customer service was fantastic and when I changed my mind on a few products and wanted to exchange or a refund, it was all easily processed. Even thought building some of the furniture with my husband almost ended our marriage, when we finally did put it together, we were very happy with ourselves and the quality of the products. I must admit I’m a little addicted to IKEA and will keep shopping there for years to come!
I am trying to track a delivery and have been kept waiting on the phone for 28 minutes and eventually having to give up because there is no indication of waiting time frames. Extremely frustrating and have got nowhere.
Needs to improve customer service !!!
Bad picker service.
We are not a big fan of Ikea products but we tried for the first time and it was not great. We ordered a TV entertainment cabinet. We paid for pick and delivery service but the picker did not pick the right parts for us. We got to drive back to return the item and the right item was not out of stock. (How can Ikea stock control is so poor around Christmas period when they have sales on?) we waited for a few days for the item arrived in store and pick up the item (we paid for delivery). We put our feet down at the store to make sure Ikea booked us a installer on the day we want instead of calling the phone to order ourself as we will not get through. It would be our first and last experience using their after sales service.
We were meant to get a delivery from IKEA the best time they could give us was 8.00am to 8.00 pm waited all day it is now 8.00 pm and no delivery. Now its too late to contact any one and it looks like tomorrow will need to be written off as well. I hope we get our delivery fee refunded
Delivered new mattress but refused to take away old mattress
I bought a mattress on 15Dec and booked delivery for 27Dec and paid for delivery and removal of the existing mattress($99). The sales person Joel made 2 separate bookings, 1 for delivery and 1 for collection. I questioned whether that would create a problem and he assured me it wouldn't. The new mattress arrived this morning and the delivery men told me that they were there to deliver only, not collect. I called and spoke to Matt at Ikea who told me to call back once the allotted time slot had expired. After a 30 minute hold I was advised that ...the booking had been made incorrectly by Joel. They offered a $30 refund and advised that they could not arrange for the existing mattress to be removed. The supervisor even asked if I could arrange someone from AirTasker to come and take it away?? They are now coming to collect Sunday morning and will be giving me a full refund for the mattress, delivery and removal fee and a $50 voucher. All I have to do is sit at home for 4 hours this morning, and another 4 hours Sunday morning and have a mattress block my hallway. What is the point in charging for a service that you can not deliver on?? A total waste of my time and theirs.
