First time using InsureandGo and setting up the policy was pretty easy to accomplish online. Went with the silver level policy which was more cover than we needed but covered things the basic level didn't. Maybe they need a bronze level between the basic and the silver. For the level of cover, it was good value compared to other companies we got… Read more
quotes from, but there's always things in it you don't need. Fortunately, we didn't need to make a claim.
The Silver policy had all the features we needed for our trip, and the price was very competitive. The sign-up process online was very easy. We did have one quick question that required a call to Customer Service, which was dealt with very quickly. Show details · 1
Always good value. Because I made a mistake I had to ring the call centre. It took more than 15mins to speak with someone. In the end they had to cancel my policy and then start a new one. A little inconvenient but the staff member was very helpful & polite. Show details · 1

I'm very disappointed with my experience with your company. I was mislead with information over 2 phone conversations. When I made the claim they incorrectly calculated my hours of delayed time and I almost lost another $50. The domestic policy is worthless in my situation as I am still out of pocket $ due to a delayed situation which was out of… Read more
my control, where I believed I was covered for these costs due to this travel insurance policy. $50 per 12 hour period cannot cover a persons overnight accommodation and food anywhere in Australia, especially on Lord Howe Island. I paid double for the policy for what my sister paid for her Qantas policy and she got all her extra food and accommodation reimbursed.
They don't cover if no receipt – I have always insured with insure & go, but the one time I tried to claim an item of jewellery I lost on holidays they refused to pay because I didn't have a receipt. I had pictures & a police report as evidence. It was vintage & a gift. What an absolute waste of money. Never again Show details

Cheap for a reason! – I found their prices competitive but doesn't matter if they won't pay claims! Lodged a claim on 21/2/22 for a small luggage claim approx $35. Had to jump through a few hoops, provided all photos and photo of original suitcase tags but didn't have receipt, otherwise proof of ownership proved. Had a few correspondence then nothing! Over two weeks… Read more
ago they said they would get back me in a few working days, I have contacted them since and silence! This is a very poor attitude and reflects very bad on them. Other insurance companies would have gladly finalised this claim long ago. I'm guessing their response if any will be to send an email to their complaints email who apparently aren't any better and won't reply either. Stick to other Aussie insurance companies.
UPDATE The next day after this review they accepted the claim and received the funds a few days later. Disappointing that I had to resort to a review to get any action.

So far Insure & Go have been very efficient. I've not left for the trip as yet but, booking was pretty well seamless. Policy seems like very good value. This is my first time with Insure and Go. Recommended to me by my sister. Show details
Great value Easy to understand Written in a way that made me feel like I was valued by the company and not just a mass produced number in a system. I liked that it didn't charge extra for children. Show details
Very easy to choose appropriate travel insurance. Very competative prices. I had a claim several years ago and it was handled with nil issues at all - staff were freindly, helpful and professional. If you keep your receipts you won't have a problem claiming :) Show details
Best value insurance – Travel insurance is a must these days and is now much more expensive than pre-covid. I found Insure and Go via a comparison sight, and they had the best value policy by a mile. Show details · 1
Competitive travel insurance that offered sensible options – It was competitive in relation to other travel insurance options investigated. It was easy to understand in the way it was presented. It seemed to offer a sensible range of options. Show details · 1
Pleasant Experience – I found the website easy to navigate and was pleasantly surprised by the premium, which was significantly lower than a policy I purchased from another company last year. What impressed me even more was that after entering my medical details, the premium remained unchanged. I will be using InsureandGo in the future. Thank you Show details · 1

I had a wonderful & safe time on holiday on Norfolk Island – I'm fortunate that I didn't need to claim on my insurance, but if I do in the future, I trust that the company will safely look after me. Show details
Easy and affordable – Very easy to understand the essentials of the policy that I signed up It covered all the basics I needed to protect myself and my family The whole process was smooth and easy and my certificate arrived very quickly which was handy. Will definitely use again Show details
Simple and Quick – Product and service was quick an easy, pricing was very competive to the make. Had no need to make a claim so can't comment on that process, but will use again fro an upcoming trip. Show details · 1
Parading as empathy, in real life, worse than crooks – Due to an unexpected BCC diagnosis and subsequent surgery which coincided with a planned hiking tour, I had to cancel my much-awaited trip. I managed to put flights into credit, (thanks Qantas), and naively thought I would be able to claim my hiking tour of over $2,600 through my Insurer, Insure and Go. But after 6 months of initially giving up,… Read more
then jumping through hoops, contacting specialists, surgeons, GP’s for letters and dates, I have just been informed my claim does not meet the Insurer’s assessment criteria. In their words, they do not cover any form of a "cancerous condition". Given that I had a complete excision of BCC's 28 months prior to this panned trip, and that the histology showed a complete recovery and I was NOT undergoing ANY sort of ongoing cancer treatment, I did not think it necessary to declare. I chose this policy specifically as it claims to cater for Seniors. BCC's are commonly found in Senior's and are cured very successfully. Please see below the cut and paste article they sent me as their proof that, unbeknown to me, I have cancer. They neglect to highlight, that "because BCC's grow slowly, most are curable and cause minimal damage when caught and treated early". My apologies to those living with actual cancer and therefore who suffer further, due to the insult of being excluded by this Insurer. I sincerely regret my ill-advised choice and hope no-one else has to endure the intrusive and time-wasting farce that encapsulates Insure and Go. (As a final act of contempt, they send a robot out to say, 'we're sorry for your experience, can we help?' I did at first reply, thinking mediation was the preferred option, but I never heard back from the little bubble on my screen!!!!) As another reviewer has observed, RIDICULOUS!

purchased travel insurance for our Ghan trip – Purchasing a policy was a relatively easy process. I was happy with the pricing after comparing a few options and the cover seems to be sufficient for our needs without being too expensive. Thank you. Show details
Very helpful phone staff – I did my initial quote on the internet, but to actually take out the policy I phoned the call centre because I needed some help with a few things, and the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. They explained everything and guided my through the whole process. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to get travel insurance for there next holiday Show details · 1
Carefree Travel – I was looking for a Seniors Cruise insurance for Australian waters and remembered that my NSW Seniors Card had emailed me some months ago so have taken it for my holiday. It was easy to apply online and questions were simple enough. Show details
Easy to complete and arrange – Very simple website but with links to all necessary information. I greatly appreciate lack of discrimination against seniors and determining cost of coverage based on the individual's health and not their age. Show details
Value for money insurance – I don’t usually take insurance for Australian Domestic travel however this insurance gives you 3 level options to cover individuals at a reasonable cost.Easy to set up. Clearer terms before purchasing would be better! As would refund procedure on incorrect purchase – We purchased domestic travel insurance, but did so only after picking up the rental car (their ridiculous excess reminded us about our usual travel insurance purchase). However according to the terms as written all claims will be denied if you’ve already commenced the trip when you buy the insurance! That’s a pretty huge disclaimer! Even if an… Read more
insurable event occurs later on, they’ve got this massive clause in there about the trip already starting. Of course that isn’t mentioned anywhere when you decide to buy.
I’ve used these guys numerous times and haven’t actually made a claim, but I feel ripped off for a useless $120 donation given to them for nothing in return.
15 minutes after purchasing I realised my mistake, but do you think there’s a refund available? Nope!
1 star for not being clear on a massive clause right at the start. Congrats on the deception, it won’t happen again.

Reply Email – I sent an email on Thursday last week (I travelled on the Sunday after). I wanted to change my cover and had no telephone access at the time. Unfortunately, your company does not cover emails on weekends. I eventually received a call from your rep on Monday. Too late to change the policy. Not good service from a customer's point of view. I've used InsuranceandGo several times in the past and was OK. However not this time . Show details

Simple and reliable – The details are clearly stated and presented in columns so it is easy to compare. Senior travellers are adequately catered for. My only reservation is for cover for pre-existing conditions. I have an auto-immune disease which is well-controlled and requires little intervention yet I am still forced to pay a hefty additional premium. I have used this company on several occasions now but have never hd to make a claim. Show details · 1
Long process on claim – The policy was easy to set up but when it came to the claiming process, it took to long, it was over a month, which is too long to wait, as far as I am concerned, to wait when putting in a simple claim. Show details

WONDERFUL COMPANY – When you travel or going to travel, the very last thing is something gone wrong. This has happened twice and each time, we had no problems with our claim, The most recent we came down with Covid and the first one my mother became terminal ill and had to cancel two hours before departure. Both times Insure and Go were there for us. Show details · 1
Under-insured and out of pocket – Insure&Go's Silver policy left me vastly under-insured and out of pocket. I had to claim for an unforeseen domestic emergency (not serious) and received under one third of the amount claimed. Some of that was the excess but the amount I did receive did not go close to covering basic accommodation and expenses. Just because it says "up to" a… Read more
certain amount, doesn'y make it so. Read the fine print very closely - this is a bare bones budget policy! The officious customer service was really just protecting the company's bottom line. I had to ask several times for an explanation and the answers were dismissive. I've used the Insure&Go Silver policy on international trips many times (luckily, I've never had to claim). Based on my this experience, I would not trust that I would be adequately insured on the Silver policy in an event of a serious overseas emergency. And I would not trust the customer service staff to go that extra mile if I were in a serious situation either.

Value for money for a domestic holiday in a Covid era – It was an expensive holiday break in the peak Christmas New Year period. So, Insure & Go which gave peace of mind for cancellations and the extra matters of smart keys and Air Bnb specs. Show details · 1
