Follow-up · The sign up process was even easier, once I chose my options it was as easy as clicking to confirm and my policy documents were emailed straight to me. The policy compares well, with much higher coverage then most companies. The dollar amount coverage, as well as the covid cover stood out for me.

My family just got back from a cruise. From day 1 My daughter suffered from motion sickness. After attending the medical centre onboard, I submitted my claim & it was approved within 24 hours and paid out in 5-6 days time. I purchased travel insurance instead of Cruise insurance, because I thought that travel insurance covered the plane flights, hotel stay and Cruise and thought Cruise insurance only covered Cruise, I contacted Insure and go and was given a full refund once I purchased the correct Insurance, was very pleased and refunded straight away. Within a week Brad had everything sorted, he is the only reason we have given InsureandGo 4 stars....the last star is missing because of the incapable staff that messed us around, stressed us out. Airline lost our luggage the day before our cruise in October. The luggage was sent to Florence airport who contacted us to pick it up on the day we were at the port of La Spezia. Go refused to pay the taxi expenses as it wasn’t a delayed journey even though it was an ‘unexpected travel expense’. Cheaper than seeing the cruise ship doctor and having them dispense the insulin which, ironically would have been covered by the policy at much greater expense to the insurance company. Long delays in comms for the original claim which I had to follow up. Wouldn’t recommend this insurance company

DO NOT book gold cruise policy if you want to be covered if the cruise company cancel your trip. Plain and simple. Recently we went to France. 2 days after arriving in Paris my husband ended up in hospital with bacterial pneumonia and a number of other issues. He was in hospital for 8 days. that I had a support person with me and my husband. So my 2 sons flew to Paris. We stayed in hotels. A nurse escort arrived from Australia for 2 days and then we were all flown home business class. The nurse monitored my husband the whole time. Blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation. He required oxygen on the plane. My husband and I had wheelchairs organised at the airports. Everything was organised by insure and go's repatriation team, taxis, flights and wheelchair assistance. The nurse escort travelled with us to the front door of our home. The insurance claim representative was very nice and what we were reimbursed was fair. It took about 2 or 3 weeks to finalize the claim. I cannot speak highly enough of Insure and go. I always use them because they will cover all my pre existing illnesses. It puts the premium up but other insurance companies will not cover me. As it turned out I wasn't the one who got ill.

husband’s mother had passed away. We had to go home for the funeral. I started the claim process & submitted all what was required but got told that the death certificate we supplied didn’t state the cause of our elderly mother’s death so they needed the coroners report. They took along time in getting back to us with anything, they made it all so difficult, long & drawn out it was quite distressing for us at it was a lot of money that we had lost. After many months they paid our claim but took two lots of excesses each & didn’t pay us for a lot of our expenses. But because it had all taken so long I was just glad to get some money back! Bought a travel insurance policy on-line. A couple of hiccups when the system seemed unable to reconcile my date of birth with my current age, but at the third attempt, it worked. Our flight was cancelled and we travelled a day later. Our hire car agreement was cancelled because of insufficient notice. We were out of pocked for over $1000. I expected our insurance to cover that cost but it didn't fit their criteria apparently. Cancelled flights leave you out in the cold. Best option for our (all adult) family – We did an extensive comparison of various options for our cruise insurance for 8 adult family (2 parents, 3 adult kids plus partners). No policy was perfect, but InsureandGo gave the best combination of coverage and affordability for us. Why Not Give Them a Go? – The buying of the policy is uncomplicated and quick, however, the proof of the pudding will be in the claiming, if ever I should have to make a claim - particularly if it's a medical claim.
