1 Dorota Bell  · Mediocre at best – Inadequate communication and problematic connection. Could do much better, just very unimpressive.
2 Russell B  · Poor service – I have found Internode to be unreliable as it regularly drops out and can be very slow at times.
1 Mark the Happy Dude  · No email anymore – they're terminating their domain services for email. Now I gotta go to the evil gmail empire.
5 Tony B.  · For the Moment it Seems Fine – Simple to install and no dreaded circle of frustrations. Can't complain and it is cheaper than my previous supplier.

Most nights between 8pm and 11pm I can't stream, connections drop out intermittently. I can *see* the tower. I have full bars. Behind my house is a nature reserve and a hill -- unlikely to be lots of customers on my antenna segment. It's pretty clear that their backhaul is under provisioned and despite whinging about it, nothing ever gets done. Absolute rubbish. I'm moving providers. Show details

this is a terrible company. For months overseas we have tried to make contact. We used this company for years - have had issues many times before but this is the end. There is no way to get in touch with anyone in this company except through there useless AI telephone service which will not recognize my account number even though it is on our last month invoice. They have stopped any email services years ago. Do not use this company if you plan to be overseas during a billing period or if you need to speak with someone, Useless company. We are back home in a week after three months of travel and will happily get a different service.

We have been with Internode for 20 years and they now require DOB verification on the account. There is no DOB on the account so how can we verify the DOB when there isn't one. The account identity team has 2 days to process this sham of a verification. All we want to do is close the account because the poor customer service since they moved to… Read more

TPG has left a sour taste in our mouths. Better speeds at cheaper prices are available from other providers whose customer service ratings are so much better than this sorry excuse for a company.

Fast and stable – There was a problem at first causing the network not reaching its nominated speed. The customer support team were very helpful and responsive, and sent us a replacement router to solve the problem. Now we're constantly getting 150+ Mbps which is significantly above the nominated speed. We haven't experienced any disconnection since setting up the… Read more

I don't even know where to start with this joke of a company. I have been a customer for years but this last year they have gone downhill in a way I never thought a company could do. None of the customer service officers know what they are doing. There has been months of incompetence, broken promises and straight out idiocy. My internet kept… Read more

lagging and cutting out for months so i called them to find out what's going on. After endless phone calls with none of the workers knowing why, they finally realised that they didn't update my address even though i let them know and updated on my file. I also had to confirm my address every time i called. Another example of their incomptence is that they sent a modem to my old address even though i updated my new address on my file, and verbally told three different people who confirmed it back to me. My previous issue I reported them to the ombudsman and only then did they manage to fix the issue. I called them yesterday to sort out moving my service to my new house but for some reason they couldn't look into my file to check when my fee cycle ends. They called back but only to give me an update which was they still couldn't fix the issue. They were supposed to call me back again but surprise surprise, they didn't. I called tonight to cancel my service because I can not deal with them for a minute longer. They promised me the people in the cancellation area was open. Guess what? They were closed. Apparently they will call me tomorrow and will transfer me to them and they won't be closed. We will see. I do not hold out much hope. Anyway, please do not sign up to internode, tpg or whatever they are calling themselves these days! You will be in for a lifetime of pain if you do!

Way better than fibre to node – After being offered the 7 day trial I thought I had nothing to lose. When it came, I left it standard and only connected my phone via Wifi 6. Straight away I was getting 177Mbps and the plan on offer was minimum 100Mbps vs my FTTN speed of 49Mbps, so I was wrapped. The Ping from the same server was 59ms vs the 35ms from the FTTN so it's not too… Read more

bad, but I'm used to gaming on European or American servers, which didn't change much (230-350). The Ping isn't relative so it only adds 15ms to these times.

Over the 7 days I started adding all my devices and in the end all of them as I was quite confident in the connection speed and stability. Only issues arose from using Wifi 6 as some devices (Samsung tv) didn't see the 5Ghz wifi. Once I turned wifi 6 off all my devices could see it. At 2.4Ghz wifi 6 was no issue.

The upload speed is capped around 20Mbps which is not the best for my security cameras but it's no different from my FTTN connection. It's adequet though.

When the trial ended I went into the settings and fully customised the LAN with allocated IP addresses and moved to wifi channels to less crowded ones and it's rock solid. The internet connection has only been off once at that was for 2 hours in the middle of the night, I'm assuming for maintenance.

Very happy with the modem and all its features, speeds are great, stable and it was $10 a month cheaper than my NBN with no contract, first month free and no cost modem.

Faster and cheaper than nbn FTTN – I was sceptical at first given that Internode were saying they could provide 5G Broadband to my address when both Telstra and Optus said they couldn't. The Telstra Exchange and Tower is literally 240m as the crow flies from where I am sitting, so it was a bit of a red flag. However, Internode has a try free for one month policy, so I thought, why… Read more

not. I chose the 5G Home Broadband plan, which has a projected speed of double my previous FTTN service and is $10.00 per month cheaper. Modem arrived two days after order and setup couldn't be any easier. Followed simple connection instructions that came with the Modem and everything just worked. No need to contact anyone for assistance. On my previous FTTN service on a good day I could get 48 Mbps download speed on SPEEDTEST but usually a lot less. Now on 5G I can get 180 Mbps most of the day, even with a VPN running, with a slight drop in the evenings. I am however very close to the tower. Unfortunately there are a couple of downsides to the supplied 5G modem. My biggest gripe is I can no longer use my printer wirelessly, it needs to plug directly to the computer. Also, the range of the Wi-Fi signal is weak, so given my modem is at the front of the house, for best signal and direct connection to my computer, I have installed a cheap Wi-Fi extender midway to get a decent signal at the back of the house. Neither of these problems are a deal breaker for me. If you hate your nbn service and can get 5G at your location, give it ago. It doesn’t cost anything to try and according to the Internode spiel if 5G doesn't perform well at your location simply return the modem and your existing service just continues as normal.

Pathetic – Constantly drops out conveniently for them since they started offering the fibre to node plan. Seriously what was by far the best internet I have had has dropped way below the days of dodo. Drops out regularly, daily 15 to 20 times a day. They refuse to credit my bill even though I had my broadband monitored by the NBN and there were significant drop outs each day often multiple times an hour. Disgusting customer service , Disgusting supplier.

Great customer service which is rare nowdays – I went with TPG 5G home internet using Vodafone and the service was very subpar (outage the whole first month) which they didn't tell me about. Internode - incompetent tech support & provider – After being convinced that 5G would be better service than current NBN & that it connecting the unit was a “simple” matter of “plug & go”, I agreed to the new service. query was clearly outside of available pro-forma script answers). After some waste of time “discussion” we requested to cancel the 5G service (being unable to connect to it) & return box. We asked to retain the existing NBN service and confirmed that we would keep the existing NBN with uninterrupted service. Turns out that was a complicated request & they cancelled the NBN service. So, have been charged for both services & have no internet. Without going into detail of time spent on phone & on hold to “fix” their error, we have had to sign up for a new service (& pay again) to get what we already had! Their sheer incompetence is beyond description. What a joke! Don’t sign up with this Company - they have incompetent tech support & clearly all they are interested in is taking your money. If I could give zero stars I would!

Generally okay ISP but unacceptable and incompetent pushing 5G services that don't work – Historically this has been a decent albeit pricey ISP with good customer service, but I'm less than thrilled with recent experience. Staff with American accents (ie: Philippines Call Centre) repeatedly called me during work hours suggesting I try their new 5G plan, that they'd send a modem out, no commitment blah blah, faster and cheaper.… Read more

Eventually I agreed.

They immediately sent the modem to my billing/residential address without asking for a postal address, my local post-office is a boomer-run LPO that is only open 9-5 weekdays so it's a massive pain to pick anything up and I don't have a lot of free time. Normally I get stuff sent to work.

When I went to use the 5G router I found it didn't work, after wasting time with their tech support said it seems there was no 5G in my area. Awesome, so why did you badger me into trying out your 5G plan then?

After cancelling it they sent an email saying I'd need to return the router within a little over 2 weeks and they'd send instructions, then heard nothing from them for almost two months, now they've sent instructions telling me to return the router within two weeks threatening a $612 no return fee.

Currently doing 60 hour weeks at work and have no free time to deal with this rubbish, I'll have to drive to a post office that's open on Saturdays to deal with it. I've emailed them twice saying I need longer to sort this out, no response.

This entire thing has been a massive waste of my time, maybe make sure your service actually works and is available before aggressively marketing it to customers.

A waste of 3.5 hours of my life I won't get back – Internode ring me virtually daily for months. I don't answer the call from that phone number. 5G not as reliable as FTTP NBN – The Internode 5G Home Broadband service may be "great-value", yet it is far less reliable than the Internode NBN FTTP service I switched from. Love my 5G home broadband with Internode – Switching was very easy and it's been working well with only a couple of momentary outages. I had many more and longer outages with NBN. Speed is greatly improved. It's great to ditch the router and NBN box and just have one wireless box. The only downside was losing my home phone number but I only made limited use of it. Works well at speeds better than NBN – I've been with Internode for a number of years & have always been satisfied. Recently changed to 5G & it is faster, more reliable & easier to set up. Customer support is always helpful if needed too. Only problem was my Canon printer worked intermittently - problems with 5G connectio . Neither Cannon nor Internode could resolve. Reliable and easy – Set up was super easy (compared to having an NBN tech in my house for several hours when connecting to NBN and then issues with the supplied modem). I haven't had a single drop out, download speeds are great. Simple, easy, reliable, decently priced - can't ask for more!

A great upgrade from NBN – After experiencing years of stability problems with NBN I switched over to the 5G service, no more stability issues, fast downloads and equivalent upload speeds.
